Chapter 263: She Fell by Herself

Upon hearing Luke say that, Dexie’s heart sank. Even Luke believed Dexie had pushed Paloma.

Because their relationship wasn’t positive, it wasn’t a matter of trust or distrust. Therefore, if there was an argument, it wasn’t impossible for Dexie to accidentally push Paloma.

After Luke made this statement, he genuinely believed Dexie had pushed Paloma. He didn’t want to investigate further; he simply wanted to quickly resolve the matter.

However, all the elders present were not willing to let the matter settle. Some hot-tempered elders were clamoring for a simple investigation. Luke’s face fell, and he was about to lose his temper. But a young man who somewhat resembled Luke emerged from the crowd.

He approached Luke and said, “Luke, let’s investigate, or else people will misunderstand... and everyone will be dissatisfied.”

Luke frowned, and Dexie stood up slowly. The young man nodded towards Dexie and smiled slightly.

Luke said, “This is my cousin, Quentin Huxley.”
