“Paloma, I don't have time to listen to your nonsense," Dexie said firmly.

When she realized the other end had gone silent, she frowned and continued speaking. Paloma's behavior was becoming increasingly ridiculous. The most urgent matter now was to open that door and escape as soon as possible.

"Stop acting. Just a moment ago, your wonderful friend Jessebelle called Oswin. Stop clinging to him, Dexie. Let me tell you, our parents have already decided on our engagement. We will be together soon. You don't stand a chance anymore," Paloma boasted over the phone.
