Another chapter for my wonderful readers. <3
“Now, while I don’t dispute the fact that structuring is necessary, I still think we need as much hands as we can if we want a greater shot at winning this battle, guys,” Killian argued passionately. For the past hour, they had been going back and forth on the same subject. All six of them sat at a round table in the library, drawing battle plans for the upcoming war, and by all six of them, I meant Aiyisha (of course), Kendra, Killian, Leray (Gamma of the Dnakle Pack) the very same Leray, who had been accused by Alpha Joffrey as only being book minded, and practically useless for anything else. There was also Sanjit, head guard for the Alpha’s Centuria, and finally, there was Yelena.Surprising right?Well, Lady Aiyisha had asked her to sit in on their final session, and while the violet eyed maiden had itched to refuse her mistress’ request, there had not exactly been any room for protests. In all truth, Aiyisha had realised that her hand maiden had a lot of potential... potential t
To say Kendra was crestfallen after Killian had left would honestly be an understatement. Tears stood in her eyes, and there was this— this strange feeling in her heart that felt like there was this rope connecting her to Killian that was being ripped apart as the distance between him and her increased, and you want to know the funny part? She wasn’t even sure he had even fucking reached the southern border yet! What in the hell was happening to her? She, a whole warrior... a complete killing machine already familiar with the concept of loss—a little too much if you ask me—and she had now been reduced to nothing but a mushy mess simply because her mate had gone someplace without her. She hated the feeling, honestly. She hated that her happiness was now, more than ever tied to him so, hated the fact that just the thought of something bad happening to him made her feel like bashing her head in and joining him as well wherever his soul went, even if it was into the underworld... Hades Ki
THE CENOTES OF DRACONIAKillian Silvercrest tried not to stare like an awestruck fool as he was led through the long corridors of the partial cave by the two burly men who were in a partial shift, stuck between being partly human and being partly dragon-like, sporting huge horns and spiked tails that were definitely deadly with scales all over their naked bodies, each man covered in a unique colour—and who could blame the Alpha without a pack, really? The Cenotes, of Draconia were truly impressive.Killian had almost forgotten how mesmerising the place was the last time he had been here, and that was quite understandable, since it had been so long ago... but the Cenotes of Draconia were massive alright just as much as they were beautiful, housing over two thousand sea and air dragons, with emerald and aqua marine tinges here and there adding a glow to the place that was almost ethereal. So impressive were the monuments that, for almost a minute, Killian almost forgot that he was being
Kendra could have sworn that her heart stopped when she heard the scouts sound the Signalling Bells. The Curers were stationed outside the Gates! Her first thought was getting the pups to the basement like she and the others had discussed, and so she had dashed to the nursery like someone possessed, all the while remembering how Leray and Killian had expressed their uncertainty on the Curers’ day of attack. It turned out that they had been right after all. They were fortunate that they had at least managed to get everything in order before they had been attacked, and when Kendra saw the Alpha’s daughter exit the nursery, a temporarily look of relief on her face, she realised how true that was, They had been really lucky. But she was in for some bad news. “It’s not looking good, Kendra.” Aiyisha said, looking every bit prepared for battle, her entire body covered in steel armour save for her head. She looked so much like a powerful force to be reckoned with, and Kendra knew that
Kendra stared at the Silver haired witch in fear, and horror and amazement and— and mortification. Yes, a whole myriad of feelings and emotions. “You... you killed him.” She whispered as she stared at the General’s charred remains still emanating wisps of smoke. “Well, I’m pretty sure we can all agree that he had it coming,” Morgana said testily as she dusted her hands clean. “Why my sisters and I were helping him in the first place, I have no idea... I guess I became too fond of him and blind to the monster he was becoming, but I’m glad that I put was able to put a stop to it after all,” She admitted softly, lifting up her head to shoot Kendra a sad smile. Kendra could see the tears in her eyes. It hadn’t particularly been an easy feat for her after all like it had seemed. The thing was that Morgana had seen it all… her interference in altering the course of destiny had been because she could not bear to see that much massacre. Maybe she was growing too weak… becoming too soft to h
CHAPTER 67- THE NEW ALPHA“Now what?” Kendra asked later that evening as she sat along with the other six at their usual spot around the High table in the library, each of them sporting looks of weariness and dreariness at how things had turned out. They had been successful in defending Dnakle... or scratch that, the fates had worked in their favour, but even then, they were unable to celebrate their little victory because of how misery still hung in the air. Every now and then a loud wail would pierce the air, wafting into the opened library as some wolf mourned the loss of a loved one, the sound striking chords in their hearts as each of them realised just how close they had been to being in the same position, or even worse... dead. For Kendra and Killian, the feeling was even more intense. It was very much obvious in the way they clung to each other, having not left the other’s side for once even with all the day’s strenuous activities. But they were still here. They were still al
68. ATTA GIRLThe vigil was a beautifully resplendent, and a truly elaborate ceremony. Well as beautiful as a funeral ceremony could be anyway. The entire pack was up between the wee hours of dawn and midnight old and young alike, dressed in formal attires of midnight black with no trace of any other colour... just as werewolf culture demanded. Candles lit up the grand courtyard, just enough to provide some light as the healer, who had thankfully made it back in time for the ceremony gave the final words and performed the concluding rights, but it did not matter anyway... was not really needed. The moon gave just enough light, its ivory coloured illuminance making the whole presentation almost otherworldly, blending in with the golden light of candles and the dark midnight of clothes to create a harmonious explosion of colour. And then all the candle lights were turned off, the huge, elegant pyre set up.The names of the dead were mentioned, and then they were placed on the pyre as t
“How are you feeling, child?” Alpha Joffrey asked his only child almost an hour to the handing over ceremony. He had summoned her into his personal chambers for a chat, an act that he had not done in a very, very long time. As a matter of fact, Aiyisha could practically count the number of times that had happened all through her life on just one hand, and she was pretty sure a few fingers would have even been left if she did.The last thing she had expected him to ask when she had come before his presence was how she was feeling... not once in a million years had that thought even crossed her mind.Perhaps, if he had said he had changed his mind on handing her the position and decided to give it to someone else instead, then sure... that was something she would not put past him, but this? This father seeming genuinely interested in his daughter’s wellbeing and feelings? This was definitely going to take some getting used to for sure.“I—I’m fine, father... I should be the one asking
This would honestly be based on y'all...Would you like to hear Devin and Aiyisha's story? And Hayden and her brother Hunter's as well?I can most certainly make that happen... turn this into a series of sorts. So! Let me know what you think. If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to ask me, I'll readily respond.So... cliffhanger in that epilogue right?!Y'all know that I can't help myself sometimes, it was just too juicy to pass up. I know some of you will want to strangle me, and I get that... even I wanted to strangle me too, lol.But all that aside, it honestly means a lot to me that you gave my little baby a chance, helped me turn it into something great with your comments and reviews. I love you all, see you in my next book.Bye.
CHAPTER 84- BLOODY FUCKING HELL (Epilogue) One week later “No! I do not believe you.” This time Katie, our busty blond from chapter one was the one doing all the exclaiming, her heavy breasts swinging from side to side as she shook her head in disbelief at her friend Jen’s incredible tale, “You are lying.” “Why would I lie about such a thing?” Jen huffed in annoyance at the accusation, “I saw it with my own eyes. The Alpha’s daughter has a golden birthmark right where her heart should be.” “H—how did you even manage that? No one is even allowed near their nursery for crying out loud.” “Well… let us just say that I have my ways, but do you understand what that means?” She whispered conspiratorially, “She really has a heart of gold. Just like Aphrodite had proclaimed.” But Jen was not convinced. “Perhaps it is not what you think… maybe it is just a birthmark and nothing more. But if it truly is, then I—I do not understand… h—how would that even work?” The skinny redhead tried to w
83. LABOR “What does a heart of gold even mean, Kendra?” Artemis Landon asked as they discussed the issue again, confusion very much apparent in her green eyes as she played with her friend’s hair. “You think she meant it in the literal sense?” Kendra shook her head as she pondered over the question, the same one that had been on hers and everyone else’s mind since news of her pregnancy had spread. “I honestly do not think so… that would just be preposterous, you know? Not to talk about being practically impossible.” She rubbed her rapidly protruding stomach fondly, “Perhaps Aphrodite meant one of my children would be kind-hearted?” “Perhaps.” Artemis conceded, her eyes bright with amusement at Aphrodite’s cunning ways. Three months had passed since Kendra and Killian’s union, and it had been nothing but absolute bliss… even though Aphrodite’s prophecy had had them thinking. The grandiose ceremony had been an unforgettable one, with so much pomp and splendour that was unlikely to
Yellow flickering lights lit up the expansive outdoors right behind the Silver Crest Pack house. As a matter of fact, Kendra had to do a double take when she looked around, for even she could barely recognise the place. Morgana and whoever had chipped in to help had really done wonders on this one. A beautiful bride. That was what Kendra was, dressed in sheer, white silk that was in no way modest… and yet she was the epitome of delicateness and innocence— two words Kendra could say she was not really familiar with. She felt like one too—a beautiful bride, that is—as her nanny, Rhea led her through the parted crowd. Howls announced her entrance instead of the normal wedding chants and bells, and her feet bore no shoes… Yes, Kendra was no ordinary bride. She and Killian were practically already married, but if she was being honest, there was just something about doing things the right way that had her feeling… fulfilled. That had her feeling new again, refilled with the beauty and
“What do you mean by we are having it tonight?” Killian voiced out his confusion. “Tonight will definitely not be possible, Morgana,” Kendra joined in. “How are we going to get ready in just six hours? There’s a whole lot to do… invites have not even been sent out—” “Woah, woah, woah guys… don’t shoot the messenger?” The Silver Witch tried to calm them down, “Listen to everything I have to say first at least before freaking out.” When she was sure that her words had gotten to them and they had calmed down, she continued, “The ceremony is going to be in two parts, the secret session which will be held only in front of your entire pack, and the grand session which would take place on any day of your choosing. You can invite anyone you would like for that one.” “I see. It’s not so bad then,” Kendra agreed, adjusting her share of the covers as she sat up in the huge bed. “See? I told you it is not.” Morgana replied, “However… there’s one little part that perhaps, you two might find un
80. THE ANNOYING INTERRUPTION Almost two weeks had passed since the Silver Crest Pack returned to their territory and they had pretty much returned to their former glory already—if not most definitely surpassed it, that is.Killian had been made head of the werewolf Council, and already, plans were underway to regroup the small werewolf communities into much larger groups so they could be better protected. Not only that, but the communities had been receiving grain and aid while the plans were being drawn out, and they were also being guarded in case of emergencies like an unexpected attack.Truly, it had been a stressful, but fruitful two weeks. So busy that Killian had barely had the time to see his mate… or even rest with her, yet alone to talk of having a quick tumble in the sheets. The Alpha was agitated, his wolf even more so… for all he wanted was to relax with Kendra in bed, talking at least, if not doing anything else. But with power came an even greater responsibility. The
79- RESTORATION The Alpha and his mate, and their mini entourage stood rooted before their carriage, even as the fuming green eyed alpha approached them, quite confused with the whole scene unfolding before them. Their confusion quickly turned into annoyance though, for when Tyrone reached them—his own Beta, Patrick in tow, his angry countence quickly disappeared, and he began to burst into loud laughter instead. “H—how I wish an artist could have captured your faces in a painting. I was just joking. ” He wheezed in amusement, turning to his beta who was for the sake of Kendra and Killian trying real hard to keep a straight face. “I guess my acting skills did pay off after all.” He said. “This is not funny, Tyrone.” Kendra voiced out her displeasure, “I cannot even believe I missed this,” She muttered under her breath to Killian’s hearing, but Tyrone heard her too. “Ouch.” A hand went against his chest as though he had been wounded by her words, “I am going to ignore all of that
CHAPTER 78- THE JOURNEY BACKThe send-off party had been a truly wonderful blast. It had gone on deep into the wee hours of dawn, ensuring that the Alpha and his mate did not go back to bed for a brief moment of shut-eye even. Instead, they had headed straight into a provided carriage almost immediately after the ceremony had ended, waving their goodbyes to the crowd that had come to see them off after they had said their special goodbyes to Aiyisha and her sister, Yelena, Sanjit and Leray and the old couple, Saul and Rida. They had even bid the old, annoying, retired Alpha a special goodbye before they left, for despite his bad side, he had not cast them out of his pack when they had come to him for help. Honestly speaking, the two would have just been content with two horses as their parting gift which they would have had had returned once they retrieved their own horses from Désirée’s tavern— but Aiyisha would have none of it, insisting that she wanted to send them off in true Dna
CHAPTER 77- THE SEND-OFF PARTYWednesday morning saw the Dnakle pack actively cleaning the aftermaths of the Red Moon… which had thankfully not been as dreadful as it should have been all thanks to Leray and his amazing gadgets. By twelve noon, everything was done… and preparations were being put in place for Killian and Kendra’s surprise send-off party before they left for Silver Crest.Oh yes. It was going to be the party of the year in Dnakle. But will all those light thoughts aside, in all truth, Aiyisha had really been worried for her two friends yesterday. She had seen how worried they had been when dusk had set in yesterday… had seen how that worry had increased with each darkening turn of the moon… hell, sh had seen how even they had not believed that they were out of the woods yet. And from all they had told her, with regards to how Aphrodite had killed Kendra and then restored back her life, to how they were now officially in the clear and all, Aiyisha could not help but
