“Reina, I am tired of chasing after Cee,” I said. “He wants me to go away from his life, right? I can give him what he wants.”

She shook her head. “And you choose to be stubborn now?”

“I have been fighting alone for our relationship,” I said. “I was even willing to face all the nightmares that surrounded his life even if it was not natural for me. It is the opposite of who I am. I am willing to enter his world. And why did I do that? Because I love him so much.”

“And you still love him, right?”

“Yes,” I immediately answered. “I love him and I know that no matter what I do, I will never be able to move on from these feelings. I will live by it for the rest of my life. But I just realized, why do I only have to fight for us? Why do I have to face the fear of our relationship alone? Why can’t he face his fear?”

“Yes, I know him,” I cut her. “And it is unfair. Yes, you said his love for me is deeper than what he had for you. But those feelings are
