Lisa Pov
“That cunning bitch,”
I heard him before I saw him, and he was terribly angry. I tried to run, but Axel angrily pulled my silver collar, smashing me against the floor.
“What did you hear?” he yelled.
“Nothing,” I whimpered, writhing in pain while struggling to escape his vicious grip.
“You lying bitch,” he yelled and hit me in the face.
Axel might look old and haggard, but he was an alpha, a powerful alpha; and this alpha was hitting me with all his might. I probably would have been able to withstand his vicious blows if my wolf wasn’t weakened with the silver collar wrapped around my neck, but I was weaker than a human and vulnerable to his attacks.
“What did you hear, bloody eavesdropper?” he bellowed again, louder than the last time.
“Nothing, please,” I pleaded.
“Time to visit the dungeon,” he snarled and began to drag me against the cold, hard floor. I tried to fight back, but he was too strong.
I feared the dungeon. It was supposed to cage feral wolves but had turned into my torture room. My worst days were spent in that dungeon and I dreaded going back there. I cried, pleaded, and wailed but Axel didn’t stop until he dragged me into the dimly-lit dungeon and bound my limbs to heavy, silver chains that were strong enough to hold a very powerful werewolf.
“I am going to ask you this one more time before this gets ugly,” he snarled at me, “what did you hear?”
“I swear,” I replied, tears streaming down my swollen eyes while my body glistened with sweat despite the chilly wind that blew ravenously, “I didn’t hear anything
g.”
“Maybe this silver dagger coated in wolfs-bane would jog your memory,” his eyes gleamed cheerily, and I was certain he enjoyed torturing me.
“Please,” I pleaded, but he didn’t stop. In fact, my pleas seemed to urge him on.
I felt the sharp dagger pierce my wrist, and everything blurred.
The torture seemed to last about a week, and I barely held on to my last breath. I prayed for death, yet hoped to live. I drifted in and out of consciousness so much that I could easily pass as a ghost.
“Lisa” Dante’s voice shook me awake, and I hastily scrambled away from him, fearing that Axel had come to continue the torture, “Don’t worry.”
Dante immediately placated me in a soft voice, “It’s me. My father’s away on pack’s business. I’m not going to hurt you. Here,” he placed a bottle of water to my lips, and I gulped hungrily, grateful for the flicker of life the water restored.
“Why are you doing this?” I was suspicious of Dante. He was Axel’s son after all, and he had no reason to be nice to me.
“You know,” Dante began to smile sheepishly as he inched closer to me, “we could work out an arrangement. You take care of my erection, while I make sure Father releases you.”
“What?” I yelled in disbelief. I was ragged, battered, tortured, and bleeding, yet this demon wanted to lay with me, “no.”
My resistance made no difference as Dante pounced on me. I was chained and unable to resist his aggressive advances. Somehow, I preferred Axel’s torture to Dante’s lust. Like his father, my pleas seemed to excite him and he ravenously peeled my ragged clothes off my bloody body. I celebrated my eighteenth birthday last winter, and my nubile body was still developing, yet, it excited Dante.
I felt his palm on my perky boobs, and I fell into despair. Though my mouth was shut, I prayed fervently with my heart. I called the moon goddess to send help with all my heart.
“So soft,” Dante murmured as he explored my body, while his erection grazed my thighs. His hands flickered down my navel until it was rubbing against my fresh, shaven vagina. Just when I was about to lose hope, help came.
“Dante!” Klaus, Axel’s beta, growled angrily, and Dante scampered away from me, “Unless you want the alpha to know what you’re up to, you’d leave now.”
Dante was unhappy and reluctantly sauntered out, but not before he shot me a glance that seemed to say he’ll get me next time. Immediately after Dante exited the dungeon, Aurora came in to attend to my wounds. Aurora was Klaus’s wife, and they were the only ones that cared for me in the pack.
“We need to take off these chains, Klaus,” Aurora called to her husband while she tended to my wounds.
“I can’t,” he replied, “only the guard and Axel have the keys, and unless we bribe the guard…”
The couple exchanged a long glance, and I knew they were communicating through their wolf. I sincerely hoped their conversation would favour me.
“Axel would kill me,” Klaus said.
“He wouldn’t know,” his wife replied, “she needs to know and escape.”
“Know what?” I asked, but they both ignored me as though I didn’t exist.
“Fine,” Klaus replied after what seemed like an eternity of silence and dashed over to me, “You’re a very important wolf, Lisa and you have the burden of a prophecy hanging around your neck.”
“What?” I was extremely confused.
“I’ll make arrangements with the guard to help you escape before Axel gets back,” he continued before I could ask any question, and turned to his wife, “literally dragging her out of the dungeon, we need to leave. We’ve risked too much coming here.”
A myriad of questions swam in my mind while I waited for my escape. I must have drifted to sleep because I was woken up by the guard, a rough-looking man with few words to speak.
“Klaus told you?” he asked, and I nodded, “Good.”
He freed me of my chains and collars and bundled me to a waiting chariot, and hastily rushed out of the neighbourhood. The guard never answered any of my questions, and I soon learned to keep quiet and endure the bumpy ride. After what seemed like an eternity, he abruptly stopped by the edge of a dark daunting forest.
“Pack borders,” he grunted and pushed me off the cart, “this is as far as I go. Aurora asked to give you these,” he tossed a small bag to my arms. “Run, girl, and never look back. If Axel catches you, he’ll fry you alive.”
“To where?” I asked, but he’d already driven off, “run to where?”
I took a deep sigh and turned towards the forest.
“Ready, Nessa?”
“Ready,” I felt my wolf speak, and dashed into the forest.
I was alone and scared, but ready to figure out the prophecy about me, and make my own destiny.
Klaus’s PoV“You realize we did the right thing, right?” Aurora mused as she set the table.“We did the right thing,” I answered absentmindedly while I paced the room.“So you don’t have to worry, cos doing the right thing is the only thing that matters.”“Now you’re repeating my words,” she chuckled and stopped my nervous pacing.Aurora wrapped her hands around me, pressing her soft, perky breast against my chest. Her exposed white pair of teeth was just as perfect as her round, plump face.“Look at me,” she whispered, gazing right into my eyes. Her sensual scent filled my nostril and I wrapped my hands around her perky ass, slightly squeezing them while she smiled at me.“We did the right thing,” she repeated.“I know,” I smiled back, “I just…”“Don’t overthink it,” Klaus, she shushed me with a soft kiss on my lips, “Ever is safe. That’s all that matters. Besides, she’s on a journey to reclaim her throne and fulfill her prophecy. She’s the chosen one, that would liberate the Lycans
Maximo PoVI’ve gone by many names. Some call me the Grand Alpha. Some call me the Nemesis. Some call me the Witch-hunter, but the name that stuck to my head was the name my father called me, Murderer.Yes, I’m a murderer, and my first victim was my mother. It really was no surprise that my father hated me, I did kill his beloved wife after all. Although it wasn’t my fault, but who cares whose fault it is, all that mattered was that I did it. I’m a murderer that shall never ascend to the throne of my parents, the outcast, that shall never be a part of a pack, exiled into loneliness. But all that would soon change. I spent the last five years of my life plotting my return to glory, and everything is going according to plan; all except one.Axel was supposed to keep my nemesis under lock and key. His job was to keep her away from her destiny, and force her to live a miserable life until she succumbed to the cold hands of death. Instead, my servant, to whom I had entrusted the most impor
Klaus PoV“Find her,” Maximo’s order resonated around the cave,“I definitely will,” Axel replied, panic and fear dripping from his voice.“Then what are you waiting for?” he barked, and we stumbled out of the cave.I’d never seen anyone with such power that Maximo wielded. Besides the curse that made him powerful, the powerful aura that hung around him was unlike anything I’d ever experienced. I was both fearful and in awe at the same time. I totally understood why Axel was scared. I was scared too. The enormity of Maximo’s power could fry the brain in our skulls if he wished it. He could kill us in a thousand ways, and we would never stand a chance. Fighting him was not an option, which meant we only had one choice; Find Lisa.“Are you okay, Alpha?” I asked.Axel had been unusually silent since we left the cave. I’d expected him to take the lead and morph into a wolf so we can race back home, instead, he walked slowly through the woods, seemingly oblivious to everyone around him.“A
Lisa PoVEven though Nessa has been a part of me since I was born, she'd only manifested recently – no thanks to Axel – and it felt weird to share my body with an entirely new being. For the longest time, I'd always felt alone, now that I have a companion, it took a while to adjust to the new development. I didn't even know how it worked. Was she living inside of me? I often wondered. And if that's the case, how can a wolf fit inside me?"I fit quite well," Nessa's voice startled me."Stop doing that," I groaned."Do what?" Nessa asked innocently."You know, suddenly talking into my head. It's creepy.""I'll make sure to announce myself before I speak next time," Nessa laughed. For some weird reason, Nessa loved to tease me. It seemed like I was her personal source of entertainment."You know what I mean," I rolled my eyes."Fine, I understand. I'm sorry. You've been moody, and I wanted to cheer you up.""I'm fine," I replied. In reality, I was far from being fine. I'd dreamed of my f
Axel PoVNo matter how much I played it over in my head, I still couldn't figure out how the girl escaped. I've always been careful. I had even gone the extra mile of acquiring a silver collar, which was extremely scarce and expensive. I always ensured the silver collar stayed on her neck, then how could she possibly escape? There was only one explanation."Someone helped her escape," I fumed as anger boiled within me, “and I was going to find this person.”I didn't work so hard to become Alpha only to have an errant wolf in my pack undermine my authority. If they could have the audacity to go behind my back to release the slave, then what was next? Mutiny? Challenging me? Or desertion? The more I thought about it, the angrier I became. A few weeks ago, I could have sworn that all the wolves in my pack feared and respected me so much that they would happily lay down their lives for me. Now, things have changed, and that only meant one thing."They need to fear me," I growled.Fear was
Klaus PoVMy father used to say that fear makes people do crazy things. I didn't really understand what he meant until I saw Axel's reaction to Maximo's threat. Axel began to get irrational and paranoid. He insisted on being called the Alpha and often held meetings with the entire pack in the town square, and all he did was threaten them. Just like he was doing now."And if any of you think you could betray me and walk free, then you don't know who I am," Axel continued his speech, which was just a remake of the speech he gave the previous week, and the week before that. "I am the Alpha of the pack, and no one would threaten my position. It's been three weeks since one of you helped Lisa escape, and I'm yet to find this traitor."The pack listened in silence, their faces filled with varying expressions of fear and confusion. This was the part where Axel would gaze into everyone's eyes as if he could see the truth lurking right beneath their eyeballs."I promise you all," he continued,
Maximo PoVPlanning a genocide was a full-time endeavor, and I definitely do not have the time to worry about a little girl who could undo the entire plan that I’d meticulously planned."Damn Axel," I muttered angrily as I bent my head over the witches’ map.The map was one of its kind. It is the only map in the world that clearly and accurately captured the witches’ territory. I had to break into one of their sacred groves to steal it. Of course, it wasn’t easy. I almost lost my left eye. If I had been one second slow, the spell would have taken out my left eye. The witch that almost blinded me definitely didn’t live to cast another spell. Soon, all the witches would be just the same: Dead."Dead, all of them dead," I chuckled, and a soft smile flickered right at the edge of my lips, but the smile barely reached my mouth.I had a fool proof plan. A plan that would ensure my success, but Darling Moon Goddess had another plan."You had to foretell a prophecy, didn’t you?" I jabbed a fi
Lisa PoV"Oh my god," I laughed as I ripped through the forest. My paw was hitting the ground with such ferocity that it felt like the ground was shaking and would tear into two at any moment. I was running with such incredible speed that the forest zipped past me in a blur. It was incredible. All my senses were extremely heightened to the extent that I could hear and see the entire forest. The chirping of crickets, the tweeting of birds, the panting of a deer; I could even hear a bunch of squirrels scurrying up a tree.I have never felt so alive, so free. I felt like I had absolutely no worry in the world. That was the third time that I was transformed into a wolf, and it still felt like the first time."Enjoying the ride?" Nessa chuckled."You know I am," I laughed. It was such a wonder that I had such an amazing gift inside of me, and I was just experiencing it now."Not to worry," Nessa laughed, "we have so much time to spend together. I smell a river nearby, let’s check it out."
