Eva sat in her study room, fingers at the keyboard of her laptop, but miles away inside. All that kept occurring in her mind was the glimpse she had earlier seen of Madam Tess, who poured her pills from one bottle to another, and was adamant not to leave that easily.The creaking of the door as it swung opened dispelled her concentration.
