Logan POV

Five days after stopping her drugs, Miley felt ill.

The doctor had warned her not to quit them abruptly but to taper off gradually over the course of three or four weeks.

It's been four days since then, and nearly three weeks since we arrived here.

Life is settling into a routine; the twins are back in school, and Miley and I have returned to work.

My lady, looking far from her usual self, opened my office door. I paused my work on the computer to give her my full attention.

"Do you feel alright?" I asked when I saw her face. She shook her head, and concern washed over me. Was she feeling sick again?

Miley: ls it true you have to travel? Her question hinted at the reason behind her unease. In this company, secrets are hard to keep. I hadn't wanted to tell Miley yet-if I could avoid it, I wouldn't go.

"Yes, but not today."

Miley: Do you have to be the one to go?

They say you might be gone a while. I pulled her onto my lap and wrapped my arms around her.

Miley I didn't want Logan to leave. I knew I would miss him a lot, and what people were saying concerned me. These matters usually take a long time, and it seemed he would sometimes be gone for months. He said he wouldn't be more than two days, and I believe him, but even two days feel too long. Besides, it's not something he can just decide, or else he would have promised. I've grown so accustomed to him, and with each passing day, my need to have him close grows stronger. I find it hard to sleep without his embrace or I sleep very little. Logan doesn't know, but I've been sleeping with the twins. I only came to what has become our room because l wanted to talk to him a bit more, and because | didn't want them to hear his careless remarks. After our call, I fell onto the bed, really wishing l could have one of those dreams with Logan now. I miss him so much... I'm beginning to feel tired. Logan POV Finally, I'm on my way home, having been away for 10 and a half days which felt like an eternity. I'm eager to see Miley and the kids. I took a little longer because | wanted to get them some gifts; I even picked up something for Myron. Imani said he would bring it by tomorrow. He reminded me that tomorrow's my birthday, something I had altogether forgotten. Not that it's important, the mere fact that I'll be back is what counts. The best way to spend my day is right here at home with them. I've got big plans for the weekend; I won't let myself drift away again. It's still early; we can perhaps go out for dinner and maybe stay up late into the night. The house seems empty, have they stepped out? Miley mentioned she wouldn't be going to work this morning, and it appears she gave her bodyguards the day off too. I went upstairs to the twins' room. They weren't there, so it looks like they did go out. I should have let them know I was coming, but I wanted it to be a

Miley Once more, I dreamt of Logan, but this felt So strikingly real-the kisses, the caresses, the whispered 'I love you... Good heavens, my face and whole body are ablaze with just the recollection. I tried to shift but experienced a twinge of pain in my waist and lower part... Hold on, that scent... It's Logan's! My eyes flew open, eager to see him. I can't contain my joy; he's here, that wasn't a dream, we did all that?... I'm still in disbelief, my whole being altered after seeing him... All I knew was that he was my man, and I yearned with every fiber to be taken by him. I'm elated, yet I feel so abashed. I can vividly recall every action and word from... Logan; I used to think engaging in such acts was appalling, but not anymore. The clock on his wrist reads 1:45 AM I remember Mr. Ronald saying today is his birthday. Leaning in, I kissed his lips, just a slight touch-I don't wish to wake him. "Happy birthday, my love."' his hand slid down my bac

Draco POV( Draco and Nina story)Extremely exhausted from the futile recruitment process, my bloodstreams were boiling. From the moment I had asked Zara, my secretary, to put the vacancy out there, I have been interviewing dumb-ass people.“Like, what is so hard about stating the simple basis of photography? My God!” I kept asking myself after the last applicant walked out of my office. She was the dumbest, freaking dumb ass! I asked a very simple question, and she ended up spewing rubbish the whole time.“And with that, you’re wishing to be my assistant? An award-winning Fester, with multiple awards—emphasis on the multiple—CEO of Fester Pictures? Come on…” I coughed, spinning my chair as I sat in my office.“I worked so hard to achieve all of these,” I said, pulling myself up from my chair and walking towards my shelf, where all my awards were neatly arranged. “I won’t allow incompetence to ruin it; you have to be extra to work with me, let alone be my assistant.” I flashed a smile

Nina's confidence seemed to waver for a moment; she stayed silent, probably trying to rehearse another impressive speech that would blow my mind. Watching her bright smile slowly falter, I immediately knew this was the moment I had been waiting for. I chuckled, patiently waiting for her to reveal whatever she had up her sleeve. But instead, Nadia quickly regained her composure. “Well, Mr. Draco, as I mentioned earlier, I have a strong educational background in photography and video production,” she said with determination. “I’ve had several opportunities to work with renowned professional artists during my time at Yale, which has helped shape my perspective and unique style.” She paused, her beautiful eyes scanning my office before focusing on my display of various awards. She flashed a smile, then returned her gaze to me. “Professionally, I’ve worked on various documentaries, and my work has been featured in several publications.” Once again, she did it—effortlessly counterin

I and Nina’s trip to Spain was a quiet one, though she was my seatmate on the business class we flew; we still didn’t utter a word to each other. It seemed the event that took place in my office the previous day still lingered. I was bored the entire trip; I noticed she was too. She repeatedly sighed at every movie she stumbled upon while trying to ease the boredom. I kept stealing side glances at her; she was doing the same. I leaned back in my seat, contemplating how to start a conversation so we wouldn’t arrive at our destination looking awkward. I kept thinking about a topic she’d be interested in, and then an interesting one popped up in my mind. I hastily leaned forward to start the conversation, but instead, I met Nina’s glance. Apparently, she had been staring at me the whole time, and I caught her this time. We kept staring at each other without saying anything; words eluded me. The topic I thought I had vanished instantly; I was terribly lost for words. Then something

We finally got to the room, and it was indeed a 5-star hotel. The room was big and spacious, painted in white with glittering gold particles. The bed was gigantic, king-size, and the large windows offered a perfect view of the soothing ocean – breathtakingly exquisite. Luckily, the room had a bigger couch, my bed for two nights. “Not bad,” I said out loud, nodding my head. “It’s a nice hotel, executive for a reason.” Nina chuckled and flung herself onto the bed, yawning loudly. I instantly understood she might want to take a shower and change into something more casual. I stylishly excused myself. “Good lord, how did I forget my dark shades in the reception?” “You forgot something, sir?” she asked. “Yes, Nina, I forgot my sun shades in reception, so I’d err… quickly go grab it.” I hastily walked out of the room, so she would buy my story, meanwhile, I had stylishly hidden the dark shades in my pockets. I got to the receptionist and asked for directions to the lounge. At

“Hello Dale, it’s been a while.” I quickly got into their middle to create a rift between them. “Draco Fester?” he pointed at me, dimming his eyes as if trying to recall my name. “Is this man joking? You’re trying to act like you don’t remember now?” I thought to myself, maintaining a fake smile. “Yes! Draco Fester, CEO, Fester Lighthouse.” I grabbed his hand and shook it, still wearing the dry fake smile. “And with me here is my assistant,” I said, glancing at Nina, staring deep into her eyes while still holding Dale's hand. “Hem!” Dale's cough made me realize what I was doing. I turned to him, still smiling sheepishly. Dale returned the fake smile, looked at me for a split second, and his gaze dropped to our still-clasped hands. I nodded, he did too, signaling me to let go of his hand. I didn’t even know I had been squeezing it. “Oh… I’m sorry,” I faked another smile, finally letting go of his hand, which I had almost damaged with the level of anger brewing inside me.

Logan's POV The sound of the helicopter blades whirring above us was deafening, cutting through the silence of the night. I held onto the straps of my seat, feeling the rush of wind and the slight tremor in the aircraft as it veered toward the island. I had no time to waste—Aiden and Nathan were in trouble, and it was up to me to get them out. I wasn’t sure how they had gotten themselves in this mess, but I knew it didn’t matter. They were family now, and I couldn’t let anything happen to them. Not after everything that had happened. I turned to the man beside me, who was checking the weapons and equipment. "Are we clear?" I asked. He nodded, a grim look on his face. "We’re good, sir. The intel says the compound is heavily guarded, but we’ve got the element of surprise on our side." I exhaled sharply, my mind racing with thoughts of Aiden and Nathan. They hadn’t taken their usual precautions, and now they were paying the price. But I would get them out. I had to. No one threate

Aiden's POV The door swung open again, and the man who entered sent a chill down my spine. His unsteady gait was the first thing that caught my attention—he wasn’t walking like someone in control. He swayed from side to side, his eyes wide and unfocused, a strange, eerie grin plastered across his face. He wasn’t just disturbed; he was high on something, no doubt about it. My pulse quickened as he locked eyes with me. I could see it—the madness, the unstable nature of the man who stood before us. He seemed unpredictable, barely in control of his own movements. But even in this deranged state, there was something terrifying about him. Something dangerous. The door clicked shut behind him, and he smiled—an unsettling, too-wide smile that didn’t match the situation. "You two, huh? Think you’re clever, running away. Trying to escape what’s already written for you?" His voice slurred slightly, but the venom in his words was sharp and clear. Nathan, standing beside me, tensed up, his

Aiden’s POV The week leading up to our honeymoon had been a whirlwind of wedding celebrations, family gatherings, and finalizing every last detail. Nathan and I were finally able to slip away for a much-needed break. It was the first time in years I’d felt like I could truly breathe, and I intended to make the most of it. The sun was setting as we boarded our private jet, the cabin filled with the soft hum of the engines. Nathan was already reclining in his seat, a peaceful smile on his face, as if he, too, was finally allowing himself to relax. The plan was simple: a secluded island, a luxurious resort, no distractions, no stress. Just us. “Can you believe we’re finally doing this?” Nathan asked, glancing over at me with that familiar grin that made my heart skip a beat. I chuckled, reaching over to take his hand. “I can’t. It feels surreal, like everything is finally falling into place.” As we flew over the ocean, the city lights below slowly faded, and the endless expanse of

  • Entangled in the Ceo's Arms    Chapter 88

Logan’s POV The day after Aiden and Nathan shared their big news, everything seemed to speed up. Miley and I had barely unpacked from our vacation when we were thrust into the whirlwind of wedding preparations. It felt like everything was happening so fast, but I knew Aiden and Nathan were determined, and honestly, I was excited for them. Their decision to get married so fast didn’t faze me—it felt right, and that was all that mattered. Miley was taking a more practical approach, though. She wasn’t one to go all-out with things like this, so I knew she would help them keep things simple but meaningful. The problem was, Aiden and Nathan were starting to have some of the same ideas—both were perfectionists, and it looked like a grand event was on the horizon. It was the weekend, and Miley and I had just finished breakfast when Aiden called to check in. “Hey, Logan,” Aiden’s voice came through the speakerphone. “Miley around?” “She’s here,” I said, looking over at her as she

  • Entangled in the Ceo's Arms    Chapter 87

Logan’s POV We had just gotten back from our trip, and I could see how much Miley had relaxed during our time away. The kids were in high spirits, too, still talking about their treehouse adventures, and for the first time in a long while, Miley’s smile seemed genuine. It was like the vacation had given us all a reset we desperately needed. When we pulled into the driveway, I noticed Aiden’s car parked in front of the house. He and Nathan must’ve been waiting for us to get back. I couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow at the sight. Aiden wasn’t exactly the type to pop over without a reason. “Looks like we have company,” I said to Miley, who was just about to open the door. She gave a small sigh. “I wonder what this is about.” We both got out of the car, and the kids immediately bolted toward the door, eager to tell Aiden and Nathan all about their trip. Miley and I exchanged a look before following them inside. --- Aiden and Nathan were sitting in the living room, talking with th

  • Entangled in the Ceo's Arms    Chapter 86

Logan’s POV The sun was shining brightly as we arrived at the cabin, and I could already tell the kids were excited. They had been bouncing around in the backseat for the whole drive, asking if we were there yet, if they could run and explore the moment we got out. Miley, on the other hand, seemed quiet, staring out the window, lost in her thoughts. I hoped this trip would give her a much-needed break from everything. The moment we parked, Jaden and Kiara scrambled out of the car, running towards the door of the cabin like it was the best thing they’d seen in ages. Devon followed calmly behind, making sure they didn’t get too far ahead. Miley and I took our time getting out, unloading the bags, but I couldn’t help but notice her mood—still distant, still a little heavy. “Come on,” I said, holding out my hand to her with a grin. “What do you say we get this vacation started?” Miley gave me a small smile, taking my hand. “Alright, alright, let’s get it over with.” But there was s

Miley stood frozen at the front door, staring at the woman who had once been her mother, the woman who had never once stepped forward in her defense. The room felt suffocating, the weight of the years and all the unspoken words pressing down on her chest. It had been 13 years since she had last seen her mother, and now, after all that time, here she was—standing in her home, asking for forgiveness. Her mother, once vibrant and full of energy, now looked older, tired, and desperate. Her hands trembled as she held them out, as if pleading for Miley’s compassion. “Miley, please… I know I’ve wronged you, but I need you to hear me out. I want to apologize. I know it’s been too long, but I’ve only just come to realize the truth about that night. I was misled, and I was too blind to see what was really happening.” Miley’s heart twisted painfully, but she didn’t allow herself to soften. It had taken her mother over a decade to come to her senses, to even bother to learn what had truly h

Jaden's POV Mornings in our house are always chaotic. With three kids and two parents who act like they’ve forgotten how chaos works, things get pretty loud. Today was no different—except it was my turn to keep an eye on Devon. At Six years old, he was basically a walking tornado. “Devon! Stop hiding in the laundry basket!” I yelled as Kiara, my twin sister, leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed like she had all the time in the world. “That’s not a good hiding spot,” she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. “He does this every time we’re late.” I leaned over the basket, glaring at the tuft of brown hair sticking out. “Devon, if we’re late for school, Mum and Dad won’t let me play video games for a week. Do you want me to suffer?” “No games for you if we’re late!” Devon shot back, giggling. Kiara smirked. “I told you this was your problem. You’re the one who woke him up early.” I rolled my eyes. “Thanks for nothing, Kiara.” This kid was impossible. After five m
