Miley POV

I have an abundance of work and numerous plans with my little ones for this afternoon and the rest of the weekend. I can't simply sit and think alone, doing nothing-the outstanding tasks must be completed.

Thankfully, I made significant progress yesterday, leaving almost nothing for today.

A knock on my door interrupted my thoughts.

"Come in."

Dave announced, "President Pierce wishes to see you." It's unusual for him not to burst in as he typically does... Now that I consider it, this is the first time he's visiting since he stopped his pursuit over me.

"Let him in, Dave, thank you!" Both entered,but Dave didn't assume his usual position;

Logan stood quite a distance from me.

"What do you need, Mr. Pierce?" His gaze shifted from me to the roses I had already placed in a vase. I could swear he smiled--a surprising gesture that reminded me of Someone... Never mind.

Logan stated, "I went to see our children this morning. I assume his pause was to ant

Logan POV Though the feeling of emptiness and pain within me persists, moments like these gift me with happiness and fortune-a fortune I know I don't deserve, but cannot help but relish in.Miley is right to chide me for my excessive requests. Little does she know, the more I restrain my heart's desires and impulses, the greater my need grows to shield and delight them. Yet, I cannot forget that their joy might require my absence. It pains me to consider, but should my proximity inflict further hurt... I will depart. To what extent must I distance myself to not seem a threat to her? Her fear from that time haunts me, continuing to inflict pain. So, when I see her now, and the urge to draw closer, to simply hold her hand or share a kiss swells-if only I were bolder-it all remains wishful thinking. To Miley, I am the fiend that wrecked her life, a truth I can't alter, notwith standing a thousand lifetimes. I trail her car, yearning to ride alongside her. Shari

Miley POV The shift in plans wasn't all bad; in fact, it ended up being rather enjoyable. Truth be told, when I was organizing our picnic, it didn't seem fair to have Dave help with everything only to exclude him at the end. So, I made the reservation for four, just in case, as my original intention was to spend time with my kids. But given their attachment to Dave, I thought they might invite him to stay. However, the plans took a different turn;now Logan and Myron were part of the dinner, and I just hoped the reservation could be adjusted. Kiara asked Dave to join while l was speaking with the receptionist. It was already a stretch to fit in one more person, and now, adding two seemed even harder. Then a woman approached us, claiming she was a close friend of Logan's. Why her flirtatious tone bothered me was none of my business. She turned out to be the owner of the place, and for a moment, I wanted to decline her offer to accommodate us - she made it quite clear she did so

After Draco had departed, I took my leave as well, finishing up reading the dossier on that damned man, and now I have enough on my plate. I didn't want to create a scene outside Miley's office; it wasn't the time for her to find out about this matter. So, trying to keep as level-headed as possible, I summoned him to my office. I may not want a mess outside, but the rules are different here-the first punch landed in his stomach. Lucky for him, he at least knows how to defend himself, not that it gave him much chance.Dave: What the hell is wrong with you? You call me here to talk, and then you just attack me without warning. -Ha, it seems the blows sharpened his tongue; his respectful manner is gone. I don't care, right now, I'm not a Pierce, I'm a man furious with a conniving scoundrel. I delivered another punch; that one I enjoyed far more. To be honest, I needed to vent all the damn frustration that I've been feeling. "Did you think you could toy with Miley's

Miley POV I leaned on my desk, trying to calm down and suppress this inexplicable sense of elation that hadn't dissipated since I walked in. Dave: Miley, I need to talk to you. -I remember he wanted to tell me something yesterday. l'd prefer to be alone right now, yet I can't ignore the chance that Logan might burst in... "Yes, what is it you wanted to say?" Dave: I'm leaving! I'Il speak to your brother about finding a replacement. I'm resigning. -ls this about what happened? It's Logan's fault. "Dave, I'm sorry for what that lunatic did to you, and.." Dave: It's not about that. I should have done this a long time ago but... -Clearly, it does have something to do with it; he wouldn't choose now, after Logan's office incident, under normal circumstances. "I know it's related. If you were leaving on your own terms, I wouldn't have said a word, wishing you the best. But I know that..." Dave: So, if I said this yesterday, you wouldn't have tried to stop me? "Of course no

Logan POV. I was exasperated when Miley ushered me out of her office; she didn't believe a word I said. Even if she did know, it was gutsy of me to say it. Then there was the confession that remained lodged in my throat-not what she wanted to hear, and I had sworn to myself to bury these feelings, so I wouldn't have divulged them anyway. As my door swung open, despite not doing anything noteworthy (though work was piled high), I was set to berate whoever dared to interrupt me, but it was her.Miley: Ready to go? -my expression must have given me away, I mean I'm thrilled she's here, but did we have plans? Impossible, I would never have forgotten. "Ready for what? "She smirked as she surveyed my pose. Had she noticed my inactivity?Miley: The twins are done with school and they've asked to see you. If you don't wish to or can't make it, I'|| let them know. -I sprang up immediately; of course, I wanted to see them. Now I felt like | could do it, and I missed them too, but

Miley POV The evening and the night had been incredible, even though it was about to end.Logan said he would leave at 8:30 PM when the children went to sleep, and that time was drawing near. The rain hadn't let up at all, but the way we were huddled on the huge blanket, wrapped up, we didn't feel the chill from outside. Sara had just brought us hot chocolate, and it was delicious. Kiara had asked for more, so I stood up to get it for her. "Here you go, sweetie, but you can't have any.." Kiara and Jaden: "Shhh, Dad's asleep, Mummy' My goodness, this man fell asleep so quickly. He did look tired, but now what am I supposed to do?Kiara and Jaden are helping him lie down completely; he must be uncomfortable in that position. "We should wake your father up so he can go home." Kiara: "But he's already asleep, he can stay, right, Mummy?" "Sweetheart, we can't let him sleep here; it's more comfortable if he goes to his place." There are spare rooms, but is it

Miley POV I've been finalizing pending tasks - I haven't taken my eyes off the computer screen since I arrived at the office. The stress is getting to me, considering the sheer volume of work, but I was the one who assured everyone I could handle it - all for Aiden's recovery. His convalescence seems to be progressing well, according to what Nathan told me. He also assured me that once Aiden is completely healed, they'll come for a visit. I'm eager to see them, to embrace Aiden. I have no intention of telling him about Dave; it's been many days since he left, and I prefer things as they are now.Logan: Enough work, it's time to eat. - In a recent turn of events over these past few days, I managed to get a sitter. I can't believe Kiara and Jaden did this to me. After Logan caught me feeling unwell due to poor nutrition and stress, about a week ago he became my sitter, and when I tried to object, Kiara and Jaden sided with him. They insisted I should let their dad take

Logan POV Our journey was not one for many words; Miley appeared deep in thought, occasionally glancing my way while I kept a steady focus on the steering wheel. I could sense her nervousness, and as long as she wasn't feeling uneasy, all seemed well. We had arrived before she even noticed; I got out and opened the door for her. "Welcome, Your Excellency," I said. She looked around, realizing it was her home. Miley exclaimed, "That was quick!" as she stepped out and walked ahead of me. By the time l entered, the twins were already swarming her. "Father, you came!" Kiara beamed as I lifted her into my arms. "I've missed you both so much" I declared, moving to Jaden and lifting him as well. He likely wanted to resist but instead just hugged me. "How was school?" I couldn't help but smile, and Miley and I asked the twins at the same time; he returned the smile. Jaden said, "It was good, but Myron is sad." "What's wrong with him?" Miley asked.Kiara revealed, "He misses his

Logan's POV The sound of the helicopter blades whirring above us was deafening, cutting through the silence of the night. I held onto the straps of my seat, feeling the rush of wind and the slight tremor in the aircraft as it veered toward the island. I had no time to waste—Aiden and Nathan were in trouble, and it was up to me to get them out. I wasn’t sure how they had gotten themselves in this mess, but I knew it didn’t matter. They were family now, and I couldn’t let anything happen to them. Not after everything that had happened. I turned to the man beside me, who was checking the weapons and equipment. "Are we clear?" I asked. He nodded, a grim look on his face. "We’re good, sir. The intel says the compound is heavily guarded, but we’ve got the element of surprise on our side." I exhaled sharply, my mind racing with thoughts of Aiden and Nathan. They hadn’t taken their usual precautions, and now they were paying the price. But I would get them out. I had to. No one threate

Aiden's POV The door swung open again, and the man who entered sent a chill down my spine. His unsteady gait was the first thing that caught my attention—he wasn’t walking like someone in control. He swayed from side to side, his eyes wide and unfocused, a strange, eerie grin plastered across his face. He wasn’t just disturbed; he was high on something, no doubt about it. My pulse quickened as he locked eyes with me. I could see it—the madness, the unstable nature of the man who stood before us. He seemed unpredictable, barely in control of his own movements. But even in this deranged state, there was something terrifying about him. Something dangerous. The door clicked shut behind him, and he smiled—an unsettling, too-wide smile that didn’t match the situation. "You two, huh? Think you’re clever, running away. Trying to escape what’s already written for you?" His voice slurred slightly, but the venom in his words was sharp and clear. Nathan, standing beside me, tensed up, his

Aiden’s POV The week leading up to our honeymoon had been a whirlwind of wedding celebrations, family gatherings, and finalizing every last detail. Nathan and I were finally able to slip away for a much-needed break. It was the first time in years I’d felt like I could truly breathe, and I intended to make the most of it. The sun was setting as we boarded our private jet, the cabin filled with the soft hum of the engines. Nathan was already reclining in his seat, a peaceful smile on his face, as if he, too, was finally allowing himself to relax. The plan was simple: a secluded island, a luxurious resort, no distractions, no stress. Just us. “Can you believe we’re finally doing this?” Nathan asked, glancing over at me with that familiar grin that made my heart skip a beat. I chuckled, reaching over to take his hand. “I can’t. It feels surreal, like everything is finally falling into place.” As we flew over the ocean, the city lights below slowly faded, and the endless expanse of

  • Entangled in the Ceo's Arms    Chapter 88

Logan’s POV The day after Aiden and Nathan shared their big news, everything seemed to speed up. Miley and I had barely unpacked from our vacation when we were thrust into the whirlwind of wedding preparations. It felt like everything was happening so fast, but I knew Aiden and Nathan were determined, and honestly, I was excited for them. Their decision to get married so fast didn’t faze me—it felt right, and that was all that mattered. Miley was taking a more practical approach, though. She wasn’t one to go all-out with things like this, so I knew she would help them keep things simple but meaningful. The problem was, Aiden and Nathan were starting to have some of the same ideas—both were perfectionists, and it looked like a grand event was on the horizon. It was the weekend, and Miley and I had just finished breakfast when Aiden called to check in. “Hey, Logan,” Aiden’s voice came through the speakerphone. “Miley around?” “She’s here,” I said, looking over at her as she

  • Entangled in the Ceo's Arms    Chapter 87

Logan’s POV We had just gotten back from our trip, and I could see how much Miley had relaxed during our time away. The kids were in high spirits, too, still talking about their treehouse adventures, and for the first time in a long while, Miley’s smile seemed genuine. It was like the vacation had given us all a reset we desperately needed. When we pulled into the driveway, I noticed Aiden’s car parked in front of the house. He and Nathan must’ve been waiting for us to get back. I couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow at the sight. Aiden wasn’t exactly the type to pop over without a reason. “Looks like we have company,” I said to Miley, who was just about to open the door. She gave a small sigh. “I wonder what this is about.” We both got out of the car, and the kids immediately bolted toward the door, eager to tell Aiden and Nathan all about their trip. Miley and I exchanged a look before following them inside. --- Aiden and Nathan were sitting in the living room, talking with th

  • Entangled in the Ceo's Arms    Chapter 86

Logan’s POV The sun was shining brightly as we arrived at the cabin, and I could already tell the kids were excited. They had been bouncing around in the backseat for the whole drive, asking if we were there yet, if they could run and explore the moment we got out. Miley, on the other hand, seemed quiet, staring out the window, lost in her thoughts. I hoped this trip would give her a much-needed break from everything. The moment we parked, Jaden and Kiara scrambled out of the car, running towards the door of the cabin like it was the best thing they’d seen in ages. Devon followed calmly behind, making sure they didn’t get too far ahead. Miley and I took our time getting out, unloading the bags, but I couldn’t help but notice her mood—still distant, still a little heavy. “Come on,” I said, holding out my hand to her with a grin. “What do you say we get this vacation started?” Miley gave me a small smile, taking my hand. “Alright, alright, let’s get it over with.” But there was s

Miley stood frozen at the front door, staring at the woman who had once been her mother, the woman who had never once stepped forward in her defense. The room felt suffocating, the weight of the years and all the unspoken words pressing down on her chest. It had been 13 years since she had last seen her mother, and now, after all that time, here she was—standing in her home, asking for forgiveness. Her mother, once vibrant and full of energy, now looked older, tired, and desperate. Her hands trembled as she held them out, as if pleading for Miley’s compassion. “Miley, please… I know I’ve wronged you, but I need you to hear me out. I want to apologize. I know it’s been too long, but I’ve only just come to realize the truth about that night. I was misled, and I was too blind to see what was really happening.” Miley’s heart twisted painfully, but she didn’t allow herself to soften. It had taken her mother over a decade to come to her senses, to even bother to learn what had truly h

Jaden's POV Mornings in our house are always chaotic. With three kids and two parents who act like they’ve forgotten how chaos works, things get pretty loud. Today was no different—except it was my turn to keep an eye on Devon. At Six years old, he was basically a walking tornado. “Devon! Stop hiding in the laundry basket!” I yelled as Kiara, my twin sister, leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed like she had all the time in the world. “That’s not a good hiding spot,” she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. “He does this every time we’re late.” I leaned over the basket, glaring at the tuft of brown hair sticking out. “Devon, if we’re late for school, Mum and Dad won’t let me play video games for a week. Do you want me to suffer?” “No games for you if we’re late!” Devon shot back, giggling. Kiara smirked. “I told you this was your problem. You’re the one who woke him up early.” I rolled my eyes. “Thanks for nothing, Kiara.” This kid was impossible. After five m
