White hot rage coursed through my veins as I flipped through the pages of the contract. Nikolai had trapped me. He knew my position and he knew that at the moment I signed this contract, I trusted him and he decided to play me.“I swear I'll kill him," I roared, slamming the papers on the desk. Although I knew it was partly my fault for trusting him even after everything, I was still angry.“You should calm down. After all there's nothing you can do now," the calm voice spoke into my ear.“Easy for you to say. You're not the one being exploited," I retorted. The person at the other end chuckled.“Don’t act like the victim, Sarah. You and I both know who's losing at the end of all this. Now get back to work. I can't hold off the cameras for much longer; my tech skills only go so far” he muttered. I rolled my eyes and puffed out a breath as I disconnected the call. I kept the contract aside and began rummaging through Nikolai's shelves. I supposed for things like what I was looking for,
SARAHI did have the suspicion that he was in the mafia and when I had asked L, he didn't give me an answer.“Now that I've answered your question, mind answering mine?" Nikolai asked. I bit the inside of my cheek as I poured out a lie.“I did it myself. I'd taken a curse some time back on IT so I know a few things,” I lied. He scrutinized me for a while then nodded."Okay,” Nikolai said, going back to sit down. I raised a brow and grinned. Turns out I'm a good liar after all. I was about to leave when I remembered something L had told me."Hey, Nikolai, there's something I've been meaning to ask you,” I told him. He hummed as he tapped away on his laptop. “Would it be possible for you to maybe give me a bit of freedom?” I asked him."Freedom? Don't I give you that already? Are you not satisfied?” he asked, raising his head to look at me. I stuttered a bit then tried to stop myself from faltering.“Not really. I need to socialize. I mean, I need to get out of here sometimes," I told h
SARAH“The Yamamoto deal, Mr Lively. Tell me all about it,” Nikolai said, locking eyes with the man. I will my ears to the conversation and listen in on the conversation. Let's hope Nikolai doesn't catch me.“I- what? I don't understand, Mr Mezzeselma," Mr Lively said, his shoulders tensing up. Nikolai nodded as he brought out his phone and put it on. He showed Mr Lively the screen.“I need you to know, Mr Lively, you might be older, but I wield more power. I can have you ruined in seconds. I have a list of all the women you've been spending nights with and the videos too. Start talking in five seconds or all those videos will be everywhere for people to see including your wife-" Nikolai threatened. A gasp almost made it's way out of my mouth. Damn! Nikolai really knew how to play his cards right. Mr Lively broke out in sweat and his escorts just stood a small smirk on their faces. I had a feeling I knew where Nikolai had gotten his cards from. “Your daughter,” Nikolai continued but c
SARAH“I thought you wanted to use the bathroom, Mrs Mezzeselma.” Mrs Yao's voice sounded from beside me. I quickly turned to face her as a panicked flush climbed up my neck and to my cheeks.“I- well, the thing is, I wanted to make a call so after I came out of the bathroom, I asked for a cell phone and all the other employees lied about not having one. Only he was kind enough to lend me his phone,” I explained. She pinned me down with an accusing look then looked back at the man."Well, there is a rule that states employees are required to leave their phones at home or with the receptionist and not bring it into the office. It seems like I'll have to start doing a personal checking myself. Mrs Mezzeselma, follow me!" Mrs Yao said, snapping her fingers at me and then storming out of the office. All the employees eyes were on me and wide. Well at least now the second floor had gotten the news. As I was passing by Aria, I smiled widely and waved at her.“Bye, Aria! See you whenever,"
SARAHL had found a way to somehow clear the way for me so it was relatively easy for me to sneak out. He had said and I quote, “Get your ass to the car in the next five seconds or this deal and your husband will be things of the past." I wasn't exactly thrilled about being bait but for some stupid reason, him using Nikolai to threaten me had me standing up and leaving the house. Which explained why I was currently with my mouth taped shut, hands tied behind my back, hair ragged and Nikolai and L's right hand man, Colton, standing opposite each other.Colton was holding me by the hair and although I knew this was all a well planned drama(on our side), it still felt as if Colton had fantasized about the day he'd make me bald— which he was currently doing.“Let her go," Nikolai growled. His men had their guns pointed directly at Colton while they kept Mr Lively hostage. Colton chuckled as he dug his fingers deeper into my hair, earning a scream from me.“That's not how deals work, Mezze
A slow, buzzing sensation started going through me, especially at my feet and it stopped after about 20 seconds. I looked down at my feet and my eyes widened.“Fucking Goddess!" I yelled as I registered the sight before me. There was a pool of blood around my legs yet I felt no pain. I ran my hands over my foot and sure enough the injuries were still there. I groaned as I got on my feet. So much for being a Lusina Wolf. I scoffed as I realized how delusional I had been. "You're not even a wolf what makes you think you'd be a Lusina Wolf,” I muttered.Unlike most wolves, I couldn't transform into a wolf, I couldn't communicate with my wolf or heal as fast as them. That was why I was called an Omega in my pack. I rushed to the bathroom to wash off the blood on my legs then came to pack up the papers on Lusina Wolves. I'd need to return this back to where I found them. My phone buzzed as I put the papers back into where I kept them. I picked it up and read the message. It was from L.L:
From the kitchen to the bathroom, to the guest room and the bedroom, Nikolai had fulfilled his promise of leaving traces of him and I everywhere In his mansion. We were currently lying down in bed drained but still wanton. My legs ached from all the positions Nikolai had fucked me in."Now I understand what Enzo meant by you tend to lose control,” I murmured. Nikolai hummed as his hand caressed my hair, lulling me back into a sleep.I pressed my back onto him and within seconds I felt something hard poking the crack of my ass. Huffing, I craned my neck to look at him, “do you never get tired?" "I do. Just not with you. But unfortunately, I'm not indulging in any more of my fantasies for the time being. I'm afraid if I do, my dick would fall off. Can't let that happen,” he said, slowly getting up. I giggled and continued lying on the bed. Nikolai's phone rang and he hissed immediately he glanced at it. I furrowed my brows wondering what the matter was. Nikolai picked up the phone and
I was flipping through the pages of the file when I heard something resembling footsteps. I didn't want to take chances so I immediately jumped off the stool and picked out a dusty book. I sat on the stool and opened the book acting like I had been reading it. The door flung open and I pretended as if I was engrossed in the book.“What are you doing here and without my permission?" Nikolai's voice boomed throughout the study. I snapped up to look at him, fear looming in my eyes. I stood up and closed the book as I tried to explain.“I— I well, i— was just— you said I should find out!" I yelled in defense, holding up the book. Thankfully, I picked up a book called Mysteries so chances were he believed me. Nikolai pursed his lips then nodded. He walked further into the study and that was when I noticed he was in nothing but his suit jeans and his black shirt was unbuttoned. It looked like he came here in a rush. Nikolai walked up to the opposite shelf and pulled out a large black book
"What is it, Princess?" I heard as a dark silhouette loomed over me. I gulped. I stepped back a bit, ensuring to keep enough space between us. "It's nothing. I just- I was just worried about my cases and presentation. Forget it," I said, turning around, hurrying to leave his side. I knew what L could do and if he knew what Nikolai and I did in the bedroom then I was sure he would know about this conversation. I rather not have it and keep Nikolai safe. "I could convince management to stretch the deadline," Nikolai offered, following behind me. I hastened up my pace as I shook my head. "No need. Thank you. I'll go work on them now," I said. "Stop," Nikolai ordered. For a moment, my legs turned to stone and I waited but I quickly recovered remembering that I had to keep my distance. I continued walking away and was about to enter our room when i was suddenly spun around and my back was pinned to the wall beside our room door. I gulped noticeably. "Did or did I not say to stop, Sarah
My day was great. Infact, my whole first week was perfect. I had enough time to focus on my work. L hadn't called in a week and there had been no more threats on either I or Nikolai's life. In all, I was happy. My work life was great, my sex life was great. My favorite part of workdays were when I would sneak into Nikolai's office and help him relieve the stress of the day. So far, everything was good. Today was Saturday and I was sleeping in. I would begin working on my personal case later tonight. That way I had an excuse to get away from Nikolai's bed. I shuddered. My core was sore from all the tumbling in bed we'd been doing lately. I didn't want Nikolai to find out else his ego would enlarge so much I'd have to move out!"So how have you been?" I asked Amelia as I sat up on the couch. It was currently 12pm. Amelia had come back home about 30 minutes ago and she'd be staying till Monday morning when she'd have to leave."Things have been great. I've been doing well in my classes.
I managed to finish my introduction although rushed and not as smoothly as I imagined it. All thanks to Nikolai. When I went back to my position, I felt the vibrations stop and I grit my teeth. Nikolai wasn't looking at me, he was looking at the employee now introducing himself. I narrowed my eyes at him and glared at his side profile. I knew he knew I was glaring at him by the ghost of a smirk on his face."Well, I underestimated how much time that would take," He said immediately the employee was done. It was Margaret's turn to introduce herself and as she stepped out, he held up a hand to stop her. She looked confused for a moment then went red when Nikolai shooed her away with his hand like she was an insect. I bit back a laugh."End of introductions, we have more pressing things to attend to," Nikolai said, staring at the paper someone had just dropped in front of him. I peeked up, ready to start taking notes. Nikolai began addressing us. Half the time, I was admiring his work et
Sunlight filtered in through the window and I turned on the bed. I opened my eyes a bit to see that my phone was buzzing and the screen had lit up. I had put my phone on vibration only last night to avoid any distractions."Hello," I said, picking it up. I noticed how hoarse my voice sounded and my throat was sore too."Sarah? Are you just waking up?" Ava's voice said through the phone. I furrowed my brows and drew the phone away from my ear to check the time."Shit!" I yelled, sitting up immediately. "I am going to be so late. Thanks for waking me up," I told her already getting up."Did you check the group chat today?" She asked at the same time Nikolai came into the room."I'll tell one of the drivers to take you to work. I'll be the one picking you up today too," He said immediately he entered. I put my hand on my speaker as I answered him,"Sure. You're going to work now?" I asked, hesitantly. There was a different question on the tip of my tongue."I am. I'll see you in a bit. Al
After saying my farewells to Ava and Josie, I got into the car with Nikolai. I sat at the window side of the car, careful not to get too close to him. He was still in his suit(without the blazer) and his sleeves were rolled up. I could feel the anger rolling off him and how hard he was trying to keep his cool. Knowing Nikolai, we'd continue this game until he reached tipping point and then everyone would suffer for it so I decided to start a conversation."Beautiful day, isn't it?" I asked or so I thought. Nikolai's head snapped in my direction with such speed that I feared he'd broken his neck."Beautiful day?" He snarled. My chest tightened knowing what was coming next. "No, Sarah. It is not a beautiful day. A beautiful day would be you safely at home and me at work but that's not what today was, was it? I told you to stay at home but you didn't listen. What if something had happened to you?""But nothing happened. You should've waited until something did. At least then I'd have had
I wasn't one to give up. So when Nikolai left the room yesterday, I'd hurriedly sorted out my outfit for today. I went for something basic since it was my first day. I wore a plain black skirt and a white long sleeve shirt. I put my hair in a sleek ponytail to make myself look professional then I packed my bag.I doubted Nikolai would make things easy for me but surprisingly, he did. When I woke up, he wasn't in bed, he had already left. And there weren't any extra guards or anything following me around. I felt slightly guilty for breaking his trust but it wasn't my fault he was too stubborn to see reason.I was standing in front of the large Starks and Clarks Skyscraper with my heart palpitating in my chest. My palms felt sweaty and I instinctively rubbed them on my skirt. People came in and out of the building, each looking busy and I couldn't help the small smile on my face."You're new too?" I heard someone ask beside me. I turned my head and saw two girls around my age."I am. I'm
I pushed Nikolai away just as the chandelier fell down with a loud crash. I felt a few shards of glass pierce my forearms but the pain didn't register immediately as I wanted to make sure Nikolai was alright.“Are you fine? Did the glass touch you?" I asked worriedly. Nikolai looked stunned but quickly recovered as a fierce look came on his face. He half my wrists with one hand and used the other to caress my forehead. Then he brought the hand to eye level.“You're the one who's injured yet you care so much about how I'm feeling," Nikolai said, a look I couldn't identify passing his eyes. He examined my hand and thankfully, the cuts weren't too deep. He picked out the shards of glass then beckoned one of his guards over."Keep her safe and take her to the clinic," He said then turned around without saying another word. The guard stepped aside allowing me pass through but I lingered a bit. Where was he going? He climbed the stairs with clenched fists and soon disappeared from my sight
SARAH“Now that you've finally opened her eyes to our world, she needs to be formally introduced to everyone," an older man said, immediately we came out from the room. Nikolai reeked of blood and he had the stains to show for it.In the middle of his quest for blood, Nikolai had sacrificed his shirt thereby leaving him shirtless. That gave me a nice distraction from the brutality he expected me to watch. Nikolai's chest and face was covered in blood.“There's more?" I groaned. Nikolai cracked his knuckles as he let out a low hum."It's not as eye opening as what we just finished. All you have to do is dress up and meet high ranking members of the pack and some associates,” Nikolai said. A woman came over and handed him a wet towel which he used to clean most of the blood on his body. Next, she handed him a dark blue t shirt that he wore immediately.“Oh. That's more my thing, I guess," I replied, nodding. The elderly man in front of us exchanged looks with Nikolai then turned around s
