Sophia's POV

"Drive straight to the penthouse. I want to teach this little girl here a lesson." Micheal commanded theo.

I didn't know whether to feel apprehensive or intrigued, but I chose to remain silent, glancing at him from the corner of my eye as Theo obediently turned the car onto a quiet, private road.

When we pulled up to the building, my jaw almost dropped. It wasn't just a penthouse; it was a masterpiece.

The towering structure gleamed under the moonlight, its design was as elegant as it was imposing.Entering the penthouse was like stepping into a dream.

Everything inside sparkled, polished floors, enormous chandeliers, and furniture that looked like it belonged in a royal palace.

"So, Michael has this type of property," I murmured under my breath, unable to hide my amazement.

The moment we stepped inside, Michael said to the housekeeper, "Run her a bubble bath. Make sure it's perfect. And set up the best dinner you've ever prepared." I don’t want excuses

Sophia’s POV “There are only two rules Sophia,” Micheal said with his eyes fixed on mine “one, don't fall in love with me, two don't get pregnant !” This words were on replay in my head each time I was with Mr Michael Mahone. When I heard the news that he would be engaged to an heiress the following week, he was in my bed, buried deep inside me. The television in my room had been murmuring in the background all evening, though I hadn’t paid much attention to it. But the words “Mahone Group,” spoken in the sharp voice of the anchor, caught my ear. I tilted my head toward the screen, my breathing still erratic from the exertion of our coupling. “Michael Mahone, CEO of Mahone Group, is set to announce his engagement to heiress Cindy Berlick next week. This marks the merger of two major business empires, one of the most anticipated unions in the industry.” After we finished, he sat at the edge of my bed, his shirt still unbuttoned, tie draped around his neck, only his belt wa

Sophia’s POV Since Linda, our department manager, was on a business trip, the weekly report of the translation department fell on me. Standing in front of Michael's door, I took a deep breath and opened it. But I didn't expect to see Cindy Berlick in Michael's office when I walked in. They seemed to be discussing something before I came in. Michael was sitting behind his desk, still expressionless. Cindy still had a gentle smile on her lips. The picture of them sitting together was like a wealthy couple from a financial magazine, a perfect match. “Mr. Mahone,” I greeted, standing instinctively “Here are the documents you requested,” I said, keeping my tone professional. I set the folder down on his desk and took a step back, determined not to linger. “Sophia,” But Cindy called me, at this time, “Would you mind giving me a minute?” Under the gazes of the magazine couple, I could only stopped and turned around.. “Of course, Ms. Berlick.” “Cindy,” she corrected with a grin, “

Sophia’s POV Before I could leave, he stepped closer, with his hands around my waist, he unzipped the side of my dress and reached inside. “Mr Mahone? I think Ms. Cindy will not enjoy the rest of the evening seeing this.” I stiffened as his hands reached to my bra, he put his hands on my breast.“Your fiancee is out there! Mr Mahone?” “Sit,” he interrupted, and brought me into his arms.. I hesitated, glancing toward the hallway where Cindy had disappeared. The last thing I needed was for her to return and see this. I spun to face him, glaring. “Your fiancée will be back any minute,” I hissed, panic rising in my chest. “Did I hurt you that night?” he asked, his voice dropping to a near-whisper. The question made my stomach flip. Memories of the night we had been together flooded back his rough hands, the way he’d pushed me to my limits and made me come, and the dizzying mix of pain and pleasure that had left me breathless. “No,” I said quickly, my voice barely audible.

Michael’s POV The engagement was a week away. I sat in my office, staring at the sleek ring box on the desk in front of me. The diamond inside was flawless much like Cindy Berlick herself. A perfect match for the life my family had carefully planned for me. I didn’t want it. I leaned back in my chair, running a hand through my hair. My mother’s voice still rang in my ears from our conversation earlier that morning. “Michael, this engagement is important for all of us,” she had said, her tone as crisp and calculated as ever. “The Berlick family’s influence will strengthen our position, and Cindy is exactly the kind of partner you need.” Partner. From the moment I was born, my marriage was destined to be a business. I never thought there was anything wrong with marrying a woman I didn't love to help the family business, as my father, my grandfather, they all did the same way. This is the way our family continues, the reason that our family business can keep expanding. “I

Sophia’s POV The notification of my day off came as a surprise. Michael rarely let me out of his grasp, even for a moment. I tried not to read too much into it, but the thought of a free day made my shoulders relax for the first time in weeks. I wasn’t used to unexpected kindness at work or anywhere, really but when Michael’s assistant informed me I had the day to myself, I didn’t question it. Instead, I texted Crystal June, my closest friend, asking if I could drop by. “Of course, come over! I’ve got snacks,” she replied almost instantly, followed by a heart emoji. Crystal and I had been friends since high school. She had always been the sunny, outgoing one, the kind of person who could make anyone feel better just by being around her. Even now, as adults, she managed to find the silver lining in everything. When I arrived at her apartment, she greeted me with a hug and a wide grin. “You look like you could use a break,” she said, ushering me inside. “You have no idea,” I m

Sophia’s POV “Sophia,” he said, his voice low and earnest. “There’s something I need to tell you.” But before he could say the words, my phone buzzed. I hesitated, glancing at the screen. Mr Mahone:Come to my apartment. Now. The words were simple, but the message was anything but. My stomach sank. Of course, it had to be now. Michael had a way of making everything feel urgent, as if his whims were the only thing that mattered. “Is everything okay?” Williams asked, concern flickering in his eyes. I swallowed hard, forcing a smile. “It’s work. I have to go.” He looked disappointed but didn’t argue. “Can I walk you home?” I shook my head quickly. “It’s fine, really. I’ll call you later.” He hesitated, then nodded, his smile tinged with sadness. “Alright. Be careful, okay?” I nodded, my chest tightening as I stood. “I will.” As I walked away, I couldn’t shake the guilt that clung to me like a second skin. Williams deserved better than this better than me. Mr Mahon

Sophia’s POV The notification buzzed on my phone early in the morning, the sound cutting through the stillness of my apartment. I rolled over in bed, dreading what I already knew I’d see. Debt Reminder:Amount overdue: 100,000$. Failure to pay may result in further action. I closed my eyes, the words searing themselves into my mind. My stomach churned, and I let out a shaky breath. This wasn’t new these reminders were constant. The creditors didn’t care about my circumstances, my struggles, or how hard I was working to stay afloat. All they cared about was the money. After a few minutes of staring at the ceiling, I forced myself out of bed. There was no point in delaying. I needed to face Lincoln Burrows, the man behind the loan company that held most of my debt. The bank was quiet that morning, the hum of machinery and hushed conversations creating a tense, sterile atmosphere. I withdrew what little I could spare from my account, my fingers trembling slightly as I stuffed th

Sophia’s POV The resignation letter felt like both a liberation and a concession. I stared at it for a long moment before finally gathering the courage to walk it over to my manager’s office. My hand was steady as I knocked on the door, though my chest felt tight with every breath. “Come in,” my manager called, her voice calm and composed. I stepped inside, the letter clutched tightly in my hand. “I’d like to submit my resignation,” I said, placing the envelope on her desk. Her brows lifted in surprise. “Sophia, are you sure about this? You’ve been an asset to the team.” I nodded, keeping my tone polite but firm. “Yes, I’ve decided it’s time for me to move on.” She sighed, glancing down at the letter before nodding. “Very well. You’ll need to complete the one-week notice period and hand over your work to your replacement.” “Of course,” I replied, offering a small smile. As I left her office, a strange sense of relief washed over me. One more week. That was all I had to

  • Entangled With My Baby's Billionaire Father   Chapter forty- nine

Sophia’s POVThe tension in the meeting room was observable, the kind that made every sound, every flip of a paper, every click of a pen feel amplified. I sat stiffly in my chair, keeping my focus entirely on the French client seated across from Mr mahone. Their discussion was centered on social media improvement and management, with the client keen on investing heavily in Mahone Industries to boost productivity and outreach. The client, a middle-aged man named Alain Bernard, spoke rapidly in French, outlining his company’s vision. He used big, sweeping hand gestures to emphasize his points, and I worked tirelessly to translate each word. My voice was calm despite Michael’s harsh attitude towards me. When I first started learning French, I never imagined it would lead to moments like this sitting in a high-profile meeting, seamlessly bridging the language gap for someone like Michael Mahone. And, I didn’t attend any prestigious school of languages or take fancy classes abroad. My

Sophia’s POVThe mid-afternoon sun was hot,as I stepped outside the café, the laughter I shared with Charles was still lingering in my chest. It had been a good day, better than most. I was in no rush to get back to my apartment or even think about work, so I hailed a taxi, thinking I’d take the scenic route home. As I opened the car door, my phone buzzed insistently in my purse. With a sigh, I fished it out, noticing Laura’s name flashing on the screen. My good mood dimmed. What could she possibly want? “Hello?” I answered, already bracing myself. “Mr. Mahone said you need to report to the office immediately,” Laura’s voice came through, sharp and condescending. “What? I took permission to be out today,” I shot back, irritation creeping into my tone. Laura let out an exaggerated sigh. “Whatever. Some investors just came in, and Mr. Mahone needs a translator. Apparently, it’s urgent.” I frowned, my confusion deepening. “But I don’t work in the translation department anymore

Sophia’s POVAs I prepared for the day. A text notification popped up on my phone just as I finished dressing. It was from Charles. Charles: "Hey Sophia, looking forward to catching up! The café’s called Roastery Bliss on Easton Avenue. See you at noon."I stared at the message, a wave of warmness spread through me. It felt surreal to reconnect with someone who knew me before life became so... complicated. I glanced at the clock. It was only 10 a.m., but I had taken the morning off to ensure I’d be on time. It wasn’t like me to prioritize anything over work, but Charles is just someone who I would like to speak to over and over again forever if I have to.The café was a quaint, cozy spot nestled in the heart of Easton Avenue. Its glass walls reflected the bustling street outside, while the inside exuded calm a mix of warm wooden furniture, hanging plants, and the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee. I spotted Charles immediately. He was seated by a window, his tall frame slightl

Sophia’s POVThe mall echoed with the chatter of shoppers and the murmur of soft music playing overhead. Michael and I had come to restock some office essentials that had run out, and, as always, he was all business. His movements were brisk, while I followed a step behind, juggling a basket overflowing with notebooks, printer cartridges, and enough pens to last a year. “Is that everything?” Michael asked as we stood near the stationery hall. “I think so,” I replied, glancing at the list on my phone. “Good. Let’s pay and get out of here,” he said.We began walking toward the checkout counter when a familiar voice stopped me in my tracks. “Sophia?” I turned sharply, my eyes widening as I saw a man standing just a few feet away. He was tall and lean, with kind eyes that crinkled at the corners when he smiled. It took me a second to recognize him, but when I did, I couldn’t stop the grin that spread across my face. “Charles?” I gasped, dropping everything I was holding. The b

  • Entangled With My Baby's Billionaire Father   Chapter forty -five

Sophia’s POVThe morning started like any other day . I decided to distract myself with chores, starting with organizing the paperwork cluttering my dining table. Bills, notes, and work documents were strewn everywhere, and I carefully stacked them into neat piles. That’s when I saw the balance statement from Cindy’s debt company. I froze, my eyes fixating on the bold print: *$248,000.* It mocked me, a constant reminder of my entrapment. Cindy’s manipulation had turned my already dire situation into a waking nightmare. No matter how much I paid, the balance never seemed to shrink. With a deep breath, I shoved the paper to the bottom of the pile. There was no use dwelling on it now. A knock on the door startled me. I wasn’t expecting anyone, and for a brief moment, my mind flashed to the black roses and the shadowy figure from the grocery store. Cautiously, I approached the door. “Who is it?” “It’s Crystal.” Relief flooded through me as I opened the door. Crystal stood th

  • Entangled With My Baby's Billionaire Father   Chapter forty - four

Sophia’s POV I was leaving Michael’s office late in the evening after finalizing a report when I noticed a small piece of paper tucked under my windshield wiper. At first, I thought it was some sort of flyer, but as I unfolded it, my heart sank. “Be careful who you trust.”There was no name, no context, just those five words scrawled in a messy, almost frantic handwriting. I glanced around the dimly lit parking lot, half-expecting someone to jump out of the shadows. But there was nothing. Shaking off the unease, I crumpled the note and tossed it into the nearest trash can. “Probably some weirdo,” I muttered to myself, trying to convince myself it meant nothing. The feeling of unease didn’t go away. A few nights later, I was working late again, organizing files in the translation department. The office was quiet, the usual hum of activity replaced by silence. I was so absorbed in my task that it wasn’t until I looked up that I noticed the shadow. It flickered just beyond t

Cindy’s POV I stood in front of my mirror, adjusting the Gold necklace around my neck. It complimented my light gray silk blouse and tailored trousers perfectly, a sophisticated yet approachable look, exactly what Mrs. Mahone appreciated. Today was important, not just for me, but for my family. My mother, Mrs. Berlick, was accompanying me to visit Michael’s mother, and I needed everything to go flawlessly. “Cindy, have you picked up the wine yet?” my mother’s voice carried down the hallway, sharp and commanding. I grabbed my bag and joined her in the living room. She looked as elegant as ever in a navy dress.“No, Mother,” I replied. “I was about to head to the wine store now.” “Good,” she said, smoothing her gloves. “Make sure it’s from Viña El Cielo. Three bottles, at least. Anything less wouldn’t be appropriate for Mrs. Mahone.” “Of course,” I said, already making a mental note. “And don’t forget,” she added, her tone dropping slightly, “this visit is about solidifying

Sophia’s POV I was at my desk, focused on a report, when I noticed Cindy gliding toward me. Her heels clicked sharply against the floor. “Sophia,” she said sweetly, resting her manicured hand on the edge of my desk. Her tone dripped with faux kindness, but her eyes gleamed with malice. “Cindy,” I replied cautiously, setting my pen down. “I was going over the recent transactions for my company,” she began, leaning closer. “And I noticed your last payment, two thousand dollars, wasn’t it?” I froze, the hairs on the back of my neck standing up. Cindy’s smile widened, her voice lowering to a mockingly sympathetic tone. “Out of two hundred fifty thousand dollars, I must say, I’m... unimpressed.” I clenched my fists under the desk, willing myself to stay calm. “I know you’re trying your best,” she continued, her tone sharper now, “but let me remind you of the terms you signed. If you don’t keep up, you know what happens next. And I think we both know you don’t want that.” He
