KIRA Kira spent most of the day in the garden with Brina. They talked, laughed and gossiped a lot. Brina, as it turns out, had a lot of interesting stories. She called boys’ d*cks ‘junk’ and had endless stories about so many ‘junk rides’ she had had in the past. Kira could not stop laughing at her stories and the way she talked about various boys. Kira found her very easy to talk to, and finally, finally she felt there was someone who did not have any hidden agenda in this world! That day Kira was served breakfast, lunch, and multiple snacks in the garden itself. “Wow, I have never eaten so much in my life,” Brina laughed as she drank a freshly squeezed orange juice with Kira. “You are royal, princess!” “Please don’t call me princess, it is very irritating,” Kira growled. Brina looked at Kira for a minute, then replied, “How about queen, you look more like a queen, you know!” Kira smiled at the reference. She was used to be addressed as queen so she did not mind it. “So, you ar
KIRA Kira spent rest of the evening in her room. True to her promise to cut off all ties with Whitakers, she did not even bother going down for dinner. But today, while a server brought Kira’s dinner, Alan came to pick up the dishes later. He knocked and when Kira spoke, “enter,” he stepped in. “I came to see how you are doing?” Alan asked with a warm smile. Silence… Kira just stared daggers at him. “I see you made a friend today,” Alan continued. No reply. “I ran a background check on her, she is clean,” he informed. Kira frowned. Why can no one give her enough privacy? Every soul she talks to, they just have to run the backgrounds… same was with Dimitri and Taron, and same is here. “Have you met my Beta or Gamma?” Alan continued. Kira just scoffed silently and looked away. “I will introduce you to them. They will be your future next in command, you would need to know them to work with them,” he suggested. And anger flared up in Kira… “I sent my Gamma to take care of your
KIRA Kira spent four days with Brina in which she thoroughly enjoyed herself. After spending six hours, which flew by like that, in her company, Kira insisted to keep Brina’s painting material in the Whitaker house so that Brina does not have to bother carrying them everyday. And while Brina was skeptical, she usually painted in the evening at her home, she agreed because even she agreed that the distance was too much for her to carry everything each day! At the end of fourth day, Brina handed over the completed painting and as promised, Kira handed over ten thousand dollars in cash to Brina as payment. “You were not kidding now, were you?” Brina sighed as she stared at the stack of cash in her hands. “I always keep my word,” Kira smiled. “Thanks, my queen,” Brina bowed in her mock courtesy and packed her things. “I had fun,” she added. “Umm, we can have more fun, if you like,” Kira hesitated. “Are you hitting on me? Because you know, while I am totally up for it, I don’t think
KIRA The next day, both girls met up and went for shopping. Kira thoroughly enjoyed spending money on Brina – after all Kira had a little too much now! Brina was overwhelmed by Kira’s generosity but Kira just brushed her concerns aside. And then the girls had lunch in a nice five-star restaurant. The only problem was, Whitaker men were following them everywhere and were always within earshot. And while Kira and Brina talked about stupidest, most girlish things, they could not discuss anything serious in the presence of an audience. “Why don’t we ditch them?” Brina murmured. “I can’t, they are for my protection, and while I am here, I really need to stay safe… else Dimitri would wage war on Whitakers,” Kira chuckled, and Brina’s expression said that she did not know if Kira was joking or was serious. “Will tell you everything later maybe!” she added with an eye roll. “Umm, excuse me,” Kira pointed at the man who was standing mere three feet away from them. “Yes madam,” the man bow
KIRA They chose a chick flick and opted for corner seats but in middle of the theatre. “Should you not be on the lounge, my queen?” Brina looked confused. “And why three?” “Where do you think I would keep my bag? On the floor?” Kira spoke dramatically as she knew the men around her were listening. She saw one of the men buy tickets too and follow them. Kira quickly texted Dimitri, and to make sure Whitakers did not suspect anything, she modified, ‘Hey love,’ she wrote, ‘I am watching movies and I have chosen the same seats as when we watched our first movie together. Remember 13 A,B,C… Last time you kept 13 C empty because you did not want anyone sitting next to me, but I am keeping 13 A empty because to me it your seat. Brina will sit in 13 C… the screen is same too, screen 1, can you believe the coincidence? Love you…’ And she sent it. She got a kissing emoji from him instantly showing he read it. And beaming with happiness, Kira led Brina inside. It was almost a hundred min
DIMITRI And they packed… Dimitri packed for himself and for the kids. He did not dare tell the twins where and why they were going, just in case. He did not wish to give them hope of reuniting with their mother and then be disappointed. He could not put them through it. But he did tell them that they were going away for some work and while daddy worked, they can enjoy around. It had been killing him to sit on his ass for the past four and half weeks. He was always on the verge of getting on his plane and dragging Kira back here, even if he had to kill entire Whitaker family in the process, but Taron – the reasonable one – always stopped him. He always reminded him that if not Whitakers, Kira would kill them for waging a war due to her. And last thing Dimitri wanted was to hurt Kira. And Dimitri also knew that one wrong move and the council will rule against him and won’t grant him amnesty ever! And then he would lose everything, starting with his mate and children. But now it was
DIMITRI She was pregnant, fucking pregnant again… and Dimitri had missed it all, again! Damn these Whitakers. He looked behind and saw Alan and Sharia Whitaker sitting and gazing at the scene of his family reunion with grave interest. “I want privacy with my mate,” Dimitri growled at the Whitakers. “This is an open church, La Gualias,” Alan Whitaker spoke with so much hatred that Dimitri felt pride rise within him. They should hate him because he was about to take everything from them. “Dimitri,” Kira extended her hand and called for him. And in no way, when she called him, he would not go. So, ignoring the Whitakers, Dimitri rushed to Kira and pressed his lips firmly to hers. He heard her kids chuckle and was happy that for once, they were not commenting about how gross this was. As Dimitri deepened the kiss, Jayden spoke dramatically, “Fine. Fine… but you can kiss more later, mom daaaddd…” she sang. Kira giggled as she parted and planted a kiss on Jayden’s forehead, and while J
DIMITRI & KIRA The council committee convened exactly at twelve noon but they were ten minutes late. The surprise Kira had for Dimitri took precedence over everything else. When they all reached the main room, the council members were muttering amongst themselves. “I hear congratulations are in order?” the chairman of the council spoke. Everyone could hear a snap in his voice. Dimitri slowly led Kira inside, who was already panting due to the advanced pregnancy, and made her sit first. “Thank you, councilman,” Dimitri smiled as he sat beside her. Alan and Sharia Whitaker took seats on Kira’s left, but Taron stayed out of the hall with twins and Brina. “We had convened here to decide where Kira should go and not to give you an opportunity to marry her,” the chairman barked. “My apologies, chairman,” Kira smiled. “Actually, it was my idea. Our first two children are, but I did not want even our third child to be labeled as bastard,” she added. “Werewolves children with their mates
