Chapter 5
Claire POV(2 Days Later)Putting the brush into the bucket of soapy water, I scrubbed the ground. My fingers were hurting and I had turned red in anger an pain.My little siftbhands moved the brush up and down as I cleaned the floor and cried. It's only been two days with Aohw Nathan and I had turned to a slave.I'm a servant in my mates pack and I hate myself for doing this.My parents' words kept recalling repeatedly in my ears, I can hear their voices sound over and over again. I wished I had listened to them, I wished I never agreed to go with Alpha Nathan. Now it's me, living the hell of a traumatic life. When they said Alpha Nathan isn't as calm and innocent as he looked, I thought they had said it out of their hatred for him, or because they despised him to the core. Now I am clearly seeing what they meant by the words. He isn't just wicked, he's more than heartless and ruthless.I was made to scrub the hallway from the start to the end, and it's almost like two hours now, I can barely say I am half. I was so tired, I haven't done this before, not even for once in my entire life. My parents never let me touch a mob stick, they probably didn't let me do any house chores. He didn't even care to minimize the workload, and he didn't even bother to check out what kind of work I was told to do, he left to work. He's my mate. I agreed to come home with him, so it's definitely not his fault but mine. If only I had listened to my parents, I'd probably be happy having a wonderful sleep in my bed.He took my cell phone, making it impossible for me to communicate with my home. And he made sure the landmark wasn't in any way in my reach.Despite pleading to the chief maid about getting an assistant to help me scrub the floor faster, all she could do was to condemn the parts I had cleaned. She'd stain the floor with her dirty shoes and then complain there's dirt in the very spots she had matched.I felt like smacking her head to the wall, and tearing her neck apart if she said any further words. But it's very impossible for me to, I was no different from an ordinary human. So, I ignored her, turning back to reclean those spots. "I need an assistant." I said, sounding mean. I have endured her pretending like she didn't hear me ask that before."I'm sorry, Miss Conrad, or whatever it is that you...""It's Conrad, okay? So shut the fuck up and go straight to the point. Are you bringing an assistant or not?" I yanked. If there was one thing I wouldn't do was to let my ground down. I'm a princess and I'll act like one."I see you have such a bad mouth, don't you? Your parents didn't train you to respect your elders, huh? Well, as days go by, you'll learn how to control those lips of yours."I held myself from saying any words or she'd add more workloads to this."To answer your question, you're not getting any assistant for this work. That's the master's orders. You haven't even started yet, and the parts you've cleaned aren't worth walking on. So, if you wanna eat some thing, then do yourself the favor of working faster."I glared at her in disbelief. She wasn't talking to me when she said that, was she? How do they expect me to get this all cleaned up before I eat?"Don't complain, or more will be added.." She laughed, walking away from me.******************It took me almost half a day to get the hallway cleaned up. I wasn't allowed to go into the room Alpha Nathan had given to me on the first day I arrived here. I was given a bed space at the servants quarter, it isn't worth staying in.I had my shower, putting on the same rags. I went to order for my food, but the maids said it's under the chief maid's care. I went to her room to meet her, only to find her eating it with happiness."They told me you're in charge of my meals. I'm done with my work, I'm hungry and I need some thing to eat.""I'm sorry, but there's nothing like 'your food.'"I furrowed my brows. "What's that supposed to mean?" I questioned."Because you rounded up late, so you'll just have to wait for dinner before you eat.""Did she actually say that to me?"A maid came to announce to us that Alpha Nathan had returned. She walked past me like I didn't exist to her. I was hurt at the fact that no one was recognizing me. They all took me like I'm some kinda scumbag or some thing. No one new I was even mated to their Alpha.I angrily walked out of the room to question him why all these were happening.Getting to his room I pushed the door open with knocking I was super angry and needed to know why he would temreat me like this. "I need an answer, Nathan, this wasn't the bargain you made with my father. Why am I being treated like this?" I badge in on him taking his clothes of. This man who was as old as my father had so much muscles and looked like he was twenty I gulped hard as I looked at him."I see you have no manner." His voice as always was seductive."Cut me the crap!m and tell me why your treating me this way. Why are you making me go through this?""Well, hun, you don't expect I'd take you in and forget what happened so easily. Your father created a hole in my heart, and so did your mother. So, in order to get it treated, it's only by taking you in. After I must have dealt with you to my satisfaction, then you'll understand what it means to be broken. If you have known, you should have listened to your parents.""Is that how an alpha ought to treat his mate?""You're not my mate, Miss Conrad, your mother was. You, you're just a bargain and will always be a bargain to me. Do you know how it feels to live for years without a mate? Only to watch the one you thought was your mate with another man. Not just another man, she even took in for him." He scoffed, chuckling. "It feels like hell. So, I ain't gonna feel this hell alone, because you just tagged yourself in."Claire's POV "Is this all about revenge?" I gasped while staring at him. I felt like going to hug him and kiss him despite all he had just said but I had to ignore the feelings and resist it, I don't think I liked that. Damn that mate bond anyways!. Not after he had treated me like a slave,I had anticipated coming here but now I have to be maltreated, I doubt the lowest rank in the pack could be treated this way. "Isn't it obvious?, this is all about revenge against your God forsaken parents, they ruined my life and shattered my heart, the least I can do to reward them for their sinister deed is to punish their sweet little daughter" A snarl came from him, his silver eyes peering at me intensely, those eyes are not only beautiful but seductive. That seduction had drawn me to him, but in those silver eyes I want to see love, he's my mate, he should love me and treat me like his other half. "I am your better half, any pain I feel, you would feel it!" I yelled out of frustration, sti
Claire's POV. The pain increased and he continued, I wished I had listened to my parents, I really wished I wasn't adamant or rebellious, I would have been with my parents right now maybe eating dinner and laughing on the table, my parents were good at making exciting conversations even though my father is an Alpha that never stopped him from showering my mother with love, it was evident to the pack that they both loved each other, it was more like a fairy tale, I thought my life would just be like that, perfect!. Perfect, with my prince charming, my mate, why was the moon goddess doing this to me?This was the worst punishment I could go through. I was defiant sometimes but never rude. I always respect my elders and even minions. What sin did I ever commit? Wallowing in self-pity and painful thoughts was just a way to stop feeling pain but I was wrong, he wasn't stopping anytime soon, I wanted to struggle but he was strong, I didn't expect less from an Alpha, his fangs or nails wer
Alpha Nathan's POV. I sat close to the edge of my bed watching as the maid changed and cleaned the table stained with blood. I was glad for reasons that only I understood, that's the feeling of having your thirst for revenge fulfilled. I recalled the delight I always felt when I was in the battle field maybe against other packs or other supernatural beings, it was exciting when I let my vindictive senses get the best of me and I rip their throats out of their necks for troubling my people, I might behave in a heartless manner most times, I might judge irrationally and make my people fear but that doesn't prevent me from defending the best interest of my pack. They are my people, I rule over them even though they are subjected under me in fear, fear that was my biggest weapon, in my younger years, i wished that my people loved me and respected me, but that was killed when my heart got broken and was mended with hate and vengeance, that respect instantly changed to fear, the love cha
Claire's POV. The broken pieces of the plate pierced my skin, I moaned and tears escaped from my eyes. I wanted to be strong and heal fast like other wolves but unfortunately I can't transform, I don't have any interaction with my wolf, it had made me so vulnerable now, I didn't feel this way back in my pack, I was accepted, never judged by anyone, love was what everyone showed me, I won't ever stop regretting being disobedient to my father. "I didn't… mean to break the plate I am… sorry" I stuttered, choking my tears back. "Will you fucking get yourself from the floor?" She yelled at the top of her voice. I didn't fail to notice that she kept repeating a certain word in almost all her sentences and that is 'Get', she kept saying it and or was becoming more irritable. "Are you deaf?" I groaned and raised myself up from the floor, my hand touched my bruised face, the right cheek she had slapped had turned red, it was stinging like a scorpion's bite.my hand remained on my face, I
Claire's POV I left the kitchen, Gamma Harrison as he called himself was nice. I thought all the wolves here were all cruel and mean just like their Alpha but he proved my theory wrong even though he showed me kindness by helping me treat my wounds, I still trusted no one in this pack. "I should have told him that hadn't eaten maybe he would have persuaded that wicked head chef to give me some food before he left, I am so hungry" I pouted my lips, my stomach was growling, my belly hurt terribly, I had not tasted food or even drank water, my lips was dry and my legs felt wobbly, I could hardly walk straight. I thought of the Gamma again, maybe I should have not let my ego get the better of me, I would have eaten some food but he might think that I was taking advantage of the little kindness he showed me, he might have seen me as an opportunist. I sighed, I already had a lot on my plate and I wasn't ready for more hassles. Suddenly I realised I couldn't find my way around, I looked
Claire's POV. I knew he was not backing off, I saw the rage, wickedness and disdain in his eyes, my body trembled at the closeness, my heart was heavy as at my eyes, tears were brimming in my eyes, they dropped from my eyes but they didn't move him, he wasn't affected by it, his face was still stern and expressionless and his eyes scary. He was my mate, I tried convincing myself that he was just vindictive, I did understand that my mother was his mate and must have hurt him but he had no right whatsoever to take his anger out on me, I didn't choose to be born as their child neither did I choose to be his mate. "You will be a good girl, sweet Claire and do what your Alpha wants you to do!" with a sinister wolfish grin on his face, he commanded. I shook my head and tried looking away but he clenched my chin harder. "I am not feeling well, I feel dizzy and sick, please don't touch me" I begged him, I knew the mate bond existed, I wished he could show me some mercy. I wasn't strong
Alpha Nathan's POV. After giving her a series of punishment, I felt her body slump to the bed, I wore back my sweatpants with my dick still dangerously dangling in it, I wasn't still satisfied with punishments I gave, I walked over to the table I last fucked her. My wolf was trying to make me feel emotions or guilt but truly the only emotion I was feeling deep inside was hatred for her nothing more. The mate bond won't change me, it won't soften me at all, I wasn't an Alpha who could be moved with tears or showed compassion, I never show compassion to anybody, My pack knows this and they understand my language pretty well. I placed the bottle on my lips and gulped down the content of the bottle. I can't get easily intoxicated, little wolves could, but not me. I gasped a bit, loving the taste of the liquor. 'You shouldn't have treated our mate in such a manner, you hurt her, you hurt me' my inner voice said. I snorted at his words and strolled to the mini bar for another bottle of
The Next DayClaire's POV…I opened my eyes slowly and shut them back immediately as a result of the ray of sunlight which penetrated into the room I was through the window. It kinda affected my eyes since I was just opening my eyes after hours of shutting them.I finally opened them without difficulty and looked around the room I was kept in.I was back in the servant's room. The room was silent and empty, I guess every other servant had gone for their early morning duties.I tried sitting up on the bed but all of a sudden, I felt a sharp pain from my head and I groaned.I couldn't even stand up, I could feel my vagina area on fire, the pain I felt down there was really terrible. Then everything came in a rush, how Alpha Nathan fucked me till I passed out. Tears slipped out of my eyes immediately, is he that heartless?I cried and pleaded for mercy, I was sick and needed to be treated but he never cared. What if I had died in his hands? He never cared about my health, all he cared

Chapter 106One month later, the anticipated day arrived when Claire's father returned to the pack. Amidst the jubilant atmosphere, Claire stood beside Nathan, her heart fluttering with a mix of excitement and apprehension. As the pack settled into a respectful silence, Claire's father addressed the crowd. "My dear pack, I have returned to inquire about my daughter's decision."Claire took a deep breath, her voice carrying a hint of determination. "Father, I have made my decision. I will accompany you to our pack, but only on the condition that Nathan and I can continue our bond and marry properly when the time is right."Nathan's expression remained calm, for he had already discussed this arrangement with Claire. He knew that this was the path they had chosen, the path that would lead them to a future where their love could flourish. Despite the collective gasp that rippled through the crowd, Nathan wore a confident smile. His love for Claire was unyielding, and he would honor their
The path they traversed was lined with vibrant wildflowers, their colors spanning the spectrum from fiery reds to soft pastels. Each step stirred the petals, releasing a symphony of delicate fragrances that danced on the gentle breeze. Bees buzzed and butterflies fluttered, drawn to the blossoms like tiny, colorful companions on their journey. As Harrison and Sandy walked hand in hand, rays of sunlight filtered through the lush canopy above, casting dappled patterns of light and shade on the forest floor. The foliage rustled with a symphony of whispers, as if the ancient trees themselves were sharing secrets of the woodland realm. The path meandered through a tapestry of landscapes, leading them to a picturesque clearing bathed in golden sunlight. A tranquil stream flowed nearby, its crystal-clear waters babbling over smooth stones, inviting them to rest and revel in nature's tranquility.Sandy released Harrison's hand and twirled in a spontaneous burst of joy, her laughter mingling w
Amelia's footsteps echoed softly against the polished wooden floor as she made her way through the dimly lit hallway. The flickering candlelight cast dancing shadows along the walls, adding an air of mystery and anticipation to her journey. The sound of her racing heartbeat reverberated in her ears, matching the rapid rhythm of her steps. As she approached Claire's door, her hand trembled slightly as she reached out to grasp the intricately designed doorknob. The cool metal pressed against her palm, a stark contrast to the warmth coursing through her veins. With a deep breath, she pushed the door open, revealing a room bathed in a soft, golden glow. The gentle flicker of candlelight illuminated the space, casting a warm and comforting ambiance. The scent of fresh flowers lingered in the air, mingling with the faint hint of lavender. The room itself was adorned with tasteful decorations, reflecting Claire's refined taste and love for beauty.Amelia's gaze fell upon Claire, who sat on a
Harrison sat on the edge of the hospital bed, his fingers entwined tightly with Amelia's, their hands providing solace and reassurance in the face of uncertainty. The room, bathed in the soft glow of dawn's early light, seemed to hold its breath in anticipation of Amelia's awakening. The faint scent of antiseptic mingled with the fresh morning air, creating a unique ambiance that symbolized both healing and hope. The steady beep of the heart monitor echoed throughout the room, its rhythmic melody a testament to Amelia's resilience and the tireless efforts of the pack's medical team. A gentle breeze rustled the curtains, casting dancing shadows on the walls and imparting a sense of tranquility to the otherwise sterile environment. Outside, the distant chirping of birds heralded the arrival of a new day, a reminder that life continued its steady march forward.Harrison's eyes never wavered from Amelia's face, his gaze tracing the delicate contours of her features. Her skin, pale and fra
A Fragile ReconciliationThe room buzzed with a mix of tension and anticipation as the guards swiftly intervened, their trained instincts kicking in to separate the altercation that had erupted between Velma and Claire. Though Claire emerged relatively unscathed from the scuffle, her brave maid bore the brunt of Velma's aggression, her body bearing the wounds inflicted in defense of her beloved Luna. Without a moment's delay, the pack physician rushed to attend to the injured maid, his skilled hands working diligently to alleviate her pain and begin the healing process. As the news of the altercation reached Nathan's ears, his expression transformed into a volatile blend of anger and determination. His eyes, usually calm and composed, blazed with an intensity that could set the very air ablaze. The whispers that reached him carried the gravity of the situation, and his heart pounded with a mix of fury and protectiveness.Without hesitation, Nathan's voice boomed through the room, comm
