Chapter 48

Nathan's POV

At first, when I entered the kitchen that was already covered in smoke from whatever that was cooking on the fire, I was annoyed with Claire because I knew that she was the only one who could intend to light the whole house on fire.

"What is she planning to do? Cook something? Bah! She's too spoilt for that. As the daughter of an Alpha there is nothing bizarre about the fact that she can not make use of the items in the kitchen nor do any kind of chore at all perfectly" I concluded in my heart and proceeded to open the kitchen windows so that the smokes could clear out a bit.

"Claire will surely hear from me for doing something as risky as this. Where is she anyways?" I asked rhetorically and made my way out of the kitchen when something caught my eyes.

Cold chills ran down my spine as I beheld Claire curled in a ball at a corner of the kitchen. Her body was covered in soothe from the smoke and some parts of her skin were starting to turn red probably because she got burn
