Alice’s Point of view

I wast no more time and ran towards the Blue Red corridor in hopes of stopping this madness. My dad didn't tell me anything more, just to run as fast as possible.

As I approach, I see Elliot running in the same direction.

"What's going on?" I ask without stopping.

"I don't know. My dad called me in a hurry to tell me that this was THE big moment. That you had plotted with the rogues to weaken and attack us."

"That doesn't make any sense. My father told me that you were the one who set them up."

We look at each other, having the same idea.

"Another way to divide us?" He asks.

"No doubt about it. But our packs have been suspecting each other for weeks without making any move. What changed?"

We hear sounds of fights and redouble our speed.

"Have yo

Alice’s Point of viewAfter what seems like an eternity, each pack returns to its territory. It was very complicated and neither Elliot nor I managed to make our fathers see reason. It was the diplomacy of Alpha Mark and Derek that prevented the fight. They were the ones who calmed the game down. Once again. As we walk back to the packhouse in silence, my father signals me to follow him.The moment I close his office door behind me, he starts yelling."What was that?""What do you mean?""That little show with Alpha Mark's son."Damn, he noticed. I feign ignorance. "It's just that there's some truth to what he said. All along I've had a feeling there's something bigger behind it and ..."He cuts me off. "Yes. The Reds are their accomplice! I don't see what's so shocking about th

Alice’s Point of viewDerek and I have always been good friends. He's a little older than me, like Elliot I think, but we've always been very close. We often trained together, which was very challenging since we are both Alphas. My dad saw the strategic advantage it gave us over the Reds. The closer he was to me, the more he would take my side when I had problems with Elliot. Ma dad would occasionally joke about the possibility of us being fated mate but I never thought he would make a deal with Alpha Jack when he realized that the Moon Goddess didn't pair us. And behind my back at that!I never made a secret of the fact that I didn't want to mate to remain the Alpha of my pack. I've always been criticized for my ambition and my thirst for power, but I don't care. This place is rightfully mine and no sexist Alphas are going to change that.Derek has always understood me and neve

  • Enemy mate: the Moon Goddess plan   Chapter 16: Marked by the Moon Goddess

Elliot’s Point of viewI feel torn during Miss Gibson's class. As usual, Blues and Reds are separated and the Silvers are mixing it up with everyone else. And today I'm especially pissed off because Derek is sitting right next to Alice.During the whole hour, Leo has been growling and imagining himself lacerating his face and I almost let him do it several times.I see Derek leaning over to her to say something and I close my eyes to contain Leo. I imagine getting up and sending him across the room, screaming that Alice is mine, pressing her body against mine, and sinking my fangs into her beautiful neck to mark her so that everyone knows she belongs to me. Then I imagine myself taking her to the nearest empty room to kiss her, caress her, and ..."Dude relax! Everyone is looking at you!" Owen whispers to me."Don't mess up the furniture!" Simon laughs.

Elliot’s Point of viewAs agreed, I wait in the forest near the campus for everyone to leave. I had to find an excuse for Owen and Simon to go home without me, but they asked fewer questions than I thought. They must have understood that I wanted to be alone and they too have their own problems to deal with. When I'm sure I'm alone, I sneak to the library and spot an open window high up. I agilely climb the facade and silently slip inside. The large room is dark but thanks to my wolf eyesight, I can see the tables and shelves.I feel that Alice is close but I don't spot her. I turn on a small table lamp which gives the impression of being a small sun in this big dark room. She is very close. I turn around and come face to face with her, her face just a few centimeters from mine."Bouh!" She says to me, laughing." Admit it. I

Elliot’s Point of view"Us?""Yes. Aren't you curious about this mark thing?"I frown. Why is it so important to her? I finally understand."The moon crescent on our wolves' chests." I gasp. She nods. "The color of our furs is complementary, the color of our eyes too, and that crescent ... It may be nothing, but it's worth checking out, right?"I'm suspicious. "Why did you ask me to come?"Her face turns blank and she turns her back to me and heads for one of the shelves. "To prove to all of you that the Moon Goddess didn't plan anything and that it's just bad luck." She says as she picks up a book. She is lying but it still hurt. I don't say anything and start looking too. We stay in comfortable silence, immersed in our History and legends until I share my discovery with her."Look at this

Elliot’s Point of viewI thought that the simple fact that she touched me made me lose my mind. I was wrong. From the moment her lips touch mine, nothing else exists. The sparks between us are so strong that I feel like she is electrocuting me. Everyone talks about the sparks between mates like a deep current, but I feel like I've been struck by lightning. There is nothing light about this kiss. We collide violently, too eager to finally taste each other.I capture her lower lip and suck it, my hands gripping her head to make sure she doesn't escape. Her hands are in my hair, pulling it violently. She moans, slightly parting her lips and I take the opportunity to deepen our kiss.My blood pulses at a crazy rate, fueling my erection pressed against her. She swirls her tongue around mine, pressing me even closer to her, causing me to grunt

Elliot’s Point of viewWe look at each other, stunned."How long have you known?" I ask."Since I saw Alice's wolf. I was waiting for you to call me.""Wait." Alice interrupts, "You're telling us you've known for months? Before we even knew about it? How is that even possible?""Let's just say that I knew Elliot was my General but I was very surprised when I saw that I was going to have two. That had never happened before!"I frown. "Your General? I don't understand anything."He sighs. "Well, let's take it from the beginning. What do you know about the mark on your wolves?"I answer. "We just did some research and found out that the mark on the chest connects two mates that are in conflict and absolutely must stay together.""Very good. What about the crescent moon?"

Alice’s Point of viewAs I walk into the packhouse, I find my mom in the kitchen."Hey sweetie. You're home late.""Yes, Cassie wanted to run.""I see." She smiles at me but I can tell she's sad."Mom, what's wrong?""I've been talking to your dad to convince him that the Reds aren't responsible but he won't listen."I press my lips together. I'd like to say I'm surprised but I'm not and although I felt remorseful about calling Prince Benjamin behind my father's back, his behavior towards my mother comforts me a little in my choice."Don't worry mom, I'm sure it will work out." I say with a confident smile."You know, I'm very proud of you."I frown. "What do you mean?""I'm proud that you don't let old resentment cloud your judgment. You don'

Elliot’s Point of viewI sigh and drop my head on my desk, nearly knocking over a whole stack of documents. It's been a year since Alice and I took over from our fathers, and I'm very proud to say that we're doing quite well considering our young age and the huge territory we have to manage.Although we are both officially the Alphas of this pack, it has been too complicated internally and most members call her Luna, which she willingly accepts as long as she remains an Alpha in the eyes of the rest of the world. It was the same for our two Betas and our two Gammas. So we had to create new titles. Sam is Beta, Owen is Delta, Simon is Gamma and Melanie is Epsilon. It was a little strange at first but it has made our lives a lot easier. We have a lot of work to do, but we've managed to organize ourselves to continue college on the side. The new packho

Alice’s Point of view"Get a grip, for Goddess' sake!" Cassie tells me impatiently.I nervously pace around my old room, biting my nails as I go.After visiting the Silvers, we announced the King's decision to our parents, who took it surprisingly well. They were a little sad to retire early, but they admitted it was for the best. They hated each other too long to cooperate so quickly. We decided to build a new packhouse on neutral ground, right in the center of town.Oh yeah. Since the packs are now united, the corridors that were set up are no longer useful and the King also wants us to take care of the city so that we don't have a 'dead zone' in the middle of our territory. Great. Even more area to manage. So Elliot and I had to plan our wedding in less than a week and I can't thank enough our entire new pack for their help.

Elliot’s Point of viewWe arrive at the airport of the city, the plan of battle already established. We call all our parents to let them know we are here.We shift and head towards the Silver's territory. Arrived in the proximity, we shift back and we approach slowly the border to not look threatening.A growl is heard and we freeze on the spot. The sound of branches is heard and a man comes to us. He has a hard, closed face, but shows a frank surprise when he recognizes us."Alpha Elliot, Alpha Alice. What are you doing here?"I sniff discreetly and notice that a lot of Silvers are guarding their border."Are you afraid of an attack?" I ask.He pretends not to understand and Alice cuts him off."What's your name?""Roger.""Roger, we can see that the guard has doubled. We

Alice’s Point of viewI move slowly on a very comfortable bed. We finally managed to find the bedroom with this huge bed in which, I confess, we did not sleep much.He woke me up several times during the night for this new need that we couldn't seem to satisfy. No matter how many times or in what position, I feel like I can't get enough. He sleeps beside me, breathing deeply. I stroke his cheek and then his lips with my fingertips, drawing a moan from him.Knocks are heard at the front door. I move an inch away from him, but Elliot's arms close around me to crush me against his chest."Where do you think you're going?"More banging can be heard. He growls. "I can't believe it. I said I didn't want anyone to disturb us."The person knocks harder."Leave it. They will go away." He

Alice’s Point of viewHe opens his room hastily and pushes me inside. I expect him to jump on me as usual but he walks away from me to his dressing, without a glance for me who is on fire."Uh, Elliot?"He doesn't answer and I just hear drawers opening and closing and zipper noises."What the hell is he doing?" Cassie asks, exasperated. "Has he forgotten us or what?"He rushes out of his room with a bag, dragging me behind him. He grabs my room key from my back pocket and repeats the same operation in my room.He comes out just as quickly with a second bag. Still pulling me along behind him, he knocks like a madman on Owen's door.He opens it with anger. "WHAT? Why are you knocking like that?"Elliot scans him with and I notice that Owen is wearing only a towel around his waist. His hair is

  • Enemy mate: the Moon Goddess plan   Chapter 65: It has to come from you

Alice’s Point of viewTwo weeks. Two weeks that our families have taken over their pack and are taking turns caring for the Silvers. It's not a sustainable situation over time, but it's good enough for now.I've been trying to work things out with Elliot for two long weeks. He and I have talked a lot and just when I thought we were going to work things out, we ended up at an impasse. At first, he was afraid that my feelings had changed and although I reassured him as best I could, I can feel that he still has doubts. For my part, I am afraid that one day he will leave me. Werewolves don't always end up with their fated mate and choose one. And they are happy. But we can't even do that. We will have nothing to bond us. So even though humans seem to love each other like that, it's not nearly enough for werewolves who need to really mark their 'territory'. We are part animals after

Alice’s Point of viewI'm all too familiar with this kind of dream. The kind where I visit Elliot when we're both asleep. Or almost dead.I'm in the forest, dressed in a nice pale pink summer dress. My hair is up in an elegant bun.Cassie jumps around in my head, not daring to believe it."I thought our bond was broken!" She exclaims. "So did I!" "Quick, let's find him!"I start running through the forest, calling for him with all my strength. After a few minutes, I hear a noise behind me.I turn around and see two fuchsia eyes staring at me intently.Although I'm surprised, I'm not scared at all. In fact, I feel calm in front of this eyes with their unusual color."Huh, Hello?"The eyes blink and a wolf comes out

Alice’s Point of viewAn excruciating pain pierces me and I just want to die.So is this what it feels like when your mate dies? I understand why the one left commits suicide or dies of pain within seconds."Let's think about our family, our friends. Think about Elliot. He is our mate, not Derek." Says Cassie."That's not how I feel right now!" I say wryly. After an eternity, the pain becomes bearable and I manage to stand up.I look down at Derek's body, the body of the man who was my best friend for all his years. What he did is unforgivable but I can't help but feel sad that I lost a friend."That's the past." Cassie tells me. "We need to focus on the future."I nod and leave Derek's body in the room before opening the door to the dressing

  • Enemy mate: the Moon Goddess plan   Chapter 62: I said no

Alice’s point of viewEveryone says that when you get marked, you feel a sharp pain replaced by intense pleasure. As Derek's fangs close on my neck, I do feel a sharp pain but it only gets worse by the second.I feel a link forming between us. A powerful link that goes until the deepest of my soul.I hear a harrowing scream. For a moment I think it's mine, but through my tears I see Elliot throwing himself at us, mad with rage and anger. The guards next to him hold him down and tackle him to the ground. I see him struggle and one of the guards seems to grab a baton to hit him.Derek finally let go and I rush forward to stop the guard's arm inches from Elliot's face."Derek, you promised." I say as I raise my head to him.He wipes the corner of his lip where some of my blood had gotten stuck.
