Since every man needed to make sure that every woman knew that they were powerful, Pablo accepted the offer of Una.
"Ugh, finally free," Una said, massaging her wrist, which had been tied by strong ropes for the last six hours.
"My name is Una, by the way," Una said, looking at Pablo with a sinister smile.
"And what am I supposed to do with your name?" Pablo asked, irritated.
He couldn't believe that he was going to fight the little girl but he couldn't back out now. What would his men say? That he was not able to take care of a girl that meant nothing?
"You would tell me your name. I don't like fighting those I know nothing about." Una was only trying to make small talk to make him weary.
She knew all there was to know about him.
"Pablo," he said, somewhat angry he was answering her.
In Pablo's eyes, Una was a small fish. Una did have a small stature, which made it hard for others to believe that her job was in line with beating people who were way above her weight level.
She was lean and her muscles looked small from the outside.
"So how are we going to be doing this?" Una asked.
"Do you attack first? Or are you going to give the little girl the first punch?" she said in a mocking voice.
"Can you just stop talking for a moment?" Pablo asked, almost regretting that he asked her to be released. He should have asked them to ensure she spoke no more until he decided to take her life.
"Okay, right," she said. She made gestures as though she were zipping her mouth and throwing out the key. She bounced on her feet and smiled at the guys standing behind Pablo.
They stared at each other for a while, no one saying anything.
"I just need to ask," Una said, breaking the silence.
All the men sighed in annoyance. They too were frustrated. Since one of the men supposedly captured her, she had been talking nonstop. Even when clothes were used to muffle her voice, she kept rambling nonstop.
"Oh, okay, got it; no more talking," she said, gesturing to the zipper and key thing she did earlier.
"Boss, I think we would just kill her and dispose of her body," one of the men said. He was scary and had a scar right across his left eye.
"Big buddy, what did I do? Why do you want to kill me?" Una asked.
She knew she was being a nuisance but that was the only way to tire men out. Men are poor listeners and hate when others talk nonstop.
"SHUT UP!" three men yelled at her in unison.
"Take it easy, tigers," she said with a chuckle ending her sentence.
"I agree with Roger," one of the other men said and Una frowned. These men were too fast in thinking of disposal.
"Let's fight," Una suggested again. "If you win, then you get to kill me; if I win, I get to go home and never come back here."
"Why do you wish so much for death? " another man asked.
"No weapons, No external help. Just me against you, Pablo." A smile crossed Una's face when she saw Pablo considering it.
Her plan was falling into place finally.
Pablo and Una start fighting. Pablo attacked Una first, and she pretended not to know how to fight.
She was going to take all punches with her heart and allow him to go weary. She did not allow him to attack or touch her in sensitive parts that could be a problem for her later, that is, if she gets to survive killing him.
Soon she could tell that he was getting tired as his punches became weak and light. She then gave him a huge punch to the stomach, which sent him three steps back. His eyes widened in shock because he could feel the weight of her punch.
He could tell that this was no ordinary punch from a little girl. She was probably trained in mixed martial arts. Una left him no room to breathe as she kept giving him punches in vital parts of his body.
The men watched their boss get beaten but could not do anything about it. The rule in the street saved her because if the number of men who were watching their boss get beaten turned to pounce on her, she would not survive it.
Pablo staggered and felt blood trickling down his forehead. Una did not stop as she kept going and charging at him. She was going to finish him once and for all today. While he was bent over trying to recover from the fatal backkick she had just given him, she felt the knife in her pocket.
A knife was the best way she could easily kill him without anyone noticing on time. This knife she was with was similar to the one that he had used when he ended her parent's life.
Meanwhile, back at the agency, Collin was drawing up in frustration. Una had switched off her body tracker and dropped her phone, which could be used as a secondary tracker.
"Get me the last CCTV location she was on," Collin shouted out to the men and women tapping away furiously on the computer systems in front of him.
Clement had been a good friend to Collin, and he was not ready to lose his friend's daughter to the same man. Collin had promised Una that they would seek revenge together, but Una had been missing for three days now, and there was no tracking her.
He knew that it was a risky move for Una to go there alone. She was ranked as the best, but still going alone was overstretched.
"I got something from a day before yesterday," a woman said, which made Collin rush to her.
It was a video of one of the men in the cyber gang pulling Una away. No one knew the location of the cyber gang. It was like they were invisible and fell off the map.
"Track the man pulling Una away," Collin ordered the people once again.
"I would not let you go," Collin murmured to himself.
He was getting afraid that the one thing that served as a consolation to him was slipping from his hands.
"I have got her; she is only ten minutes away by foot."
"Move, move, move. I want every man and woman free there right now; we must save her," Collin ordered over the address system. All soldiers, as they called themselves, began to move towards the exit. While some took cars and moved to the destination that had now been sent to their smartwatches, some took the running approach.Soon the hideout of the cartel was surrounded by all the soldiers waiting to save the daughter of the leader.Everyone addressed Una as the daughter of the leader. Only a few of the people who still worked at the agency knew that Una was not the child of Collin but the child of the best soldier who was killed brutally."On my count, we move," Collin said into his mic, which went straight to the earpiece in the ear of every soldier."Move," Collin commanded. All soldiers moved swiftly and began to search for Una. By the time they found Una, she was sitting on Pablo and slapping the hell out of him. Pablo was now exhausted and had no energy to fight back.Una pulled
KINGDOM OF SLOSALIA 1505"Your worship, it is Xisuthra," the man at the other side of the door said."Come in," Emperor Asalan Enlim said."Kill me your Worship," Xisuthra said, bowing to the ground as he entered."What have you done that deserves death?" Asalan asked."I dare to bring bad news to you; I dare to bring bad news to the court of the king," the man replied.Xisuthra was the right-hand man of the Emperor and was the only one fit to deliver news and come close to the Emperor when he was working."Bad news?" Asalan asked. What could the bad news be? Since Asalan took over from his father when he died, things have been relatively peaceful. The stronger neighbourhood country, Iduivacan, had stopped surprise attacks on them since he promised his daughter Ninsab Enlim as a wife to the prince of the neighbouring kingdom."The princess is dead," Xisuthra said, bowed to the ground repeatedly."What?" Asalan said the train of thoughts in her mind snapped back to reality."Which princ
Xisuthra moved swiftly to prepare a secret chariot that would move the dead princess to the secondary palace. On his way, he met with Inal Enlim.Inal Enlim was a concubine who was promoted to become the empress after the empress died. The reason she was promoted was that the crown prince, Aranar Enlim, was her son.Xisuthra bowed upon sighting the empress with her entourage right behind her. She stopped when she also saw him. She wondered why he was in such a hurry and where he was going."Your royal Highness," he said, greeting her."Xisuthra, what is the hurry about?" Inal said when she saw the urgency in his steps."He Worship had ordered something urgent to which I must tend to Your royal highness," he responded carefully enough not to give away too much information. After all, the emperor had ordered that he trust no one.Xisuthra even suspected that the emperor was suspicious of him also. The only reason he was still on the mission was because he was the only one close enough to
In a few minutes, the chickens were falling dead on the floor, like they were not just lying all over the place a few seconds ago."Just as I suspected. The princess had been very healthy, so for her to suddenly throw up..." Irkal said her sentence trailed off at the end."How do I get to tell the Emperor about this without offending him?" Xisuthra said contemplating. He had also suspected that the princess was killed, but who would dare kill the princess and sabotage the chance of peace in the kingdom?"We better get back to the palace," Xisuthra said, turning on his feet.Irkal followed suit. Soon they were all at the palace. Xisuthra waited till the night fell and everywhere was quiet before he moved the princess to the prepared carriage. The strange woman was yet to wake up. Xisuthra and Irkal successfully moved the dead princess to the secondary palace. At the secondary palace, the body of the princess was cleaned with a substance that would not allow for decay. It would be taboo
"Got here? Who brought me here?" Una asked confused. She wished the girl would stop talking all formal and tell her what exactly was going on. Did Collin bring her and leave her here?"Where is Collin?" she asked, and the girl seemed confused."How did I get here?" Una asked."The Emperor's bodyguard saw you lying down there," Irkal said, pointing to the spot where she was seen."So you mean I just appeared out of nowhere?" Una asked."Yes, it was like someone dropped you there, but the door was locked, and we can't find any truth of an external person," Irkal explained."No way, "Una said, smiling. "Okay, I give up. You have solid actors and a good game plan. I agree that you have been able to successfully prank me," she added.Irkal wondered what gibberish she was talking about. Maybe she wasn't right in the head."Who put you up to this?" Una said, walking cautiously towards the girl. If she wanted to, she could snap the girl's neck without any thought, but that would do her no good
Una had studied the medieval era very well, but she had never for once come across the kingdom of Slosalia. It was strange to her. This was probably a bad dream, and she was sure she would get over it once she slept it over, so she climbed into bed and covered herself up with the warm blanket. Before she could tell herself to go to bed, she fell into a deep sleep."Your Highness," Irkal said. She had fallen asleep shortly after she saw Una finally go to bed. She has for a moment forgotten that the princess she served was no longer a part of the living world but now dead.Una stretched in the bed as she wiggled her legs. Irkal had gone to inform Xisuthra about Una and how she reacted. Xisuthra informed the Emperor, who was going to come see her immediately after the morning readings."Una, you need to wake up now," Irkal said, correcting herself. She moved to the bedside and tapped Ina gently on the arm. Una stood up and rubbed her eyes gently. She had been awake for a while now but ref
The Emperor's question did not make sense to Una. How could he be asking about the year she came from? Did it make sense that he would ask her that? How did he know she was not from this era? She could be a spy, for all he knows. Does he probably know something about what was going on with him? She knew that she did not have much of an option as she did not know how to live in this newly found place."How do you know that I am not of this era?" Una asked."The stars already predicted that we would have a strange visitor, and your clothes are not anything like we have seen recently. We have had envoys from various parts of the world visit us, but I haven't seen anyone wear such clothes," Asalan said."That is a pretty deep analysis," Una replied.Yes, she was from 2022 and everything happening to her did not make sense. If one could truly travel through time, then why haven't the scientist discovered it yet? The technology in her era was top-notch. How could those in the fifteenth centu
"Until you find a solution? How long would that take?" Una asked."Until I find the killer and a replacement for the bride-to-be who was killed," Asalan said."How long would that take?" Una raised her voice. She had a bad feeling about this. She did not know how she ended up there but now all she knows is that her only way out would not tell her until she does him this huge favor. She would do it because she had no choice whatsoever but she wanted to make sure that there was a time frame."When do I leave?" she asked again. This time her voice was lower. She would not want to raise any suspicions around her. She could be easily discarded and then her life ends there. Her life would then end for just being adamant."I said you should open the door," Inal screamed and put her feet down. She had been standing outside the door to the princess room, which was suspiciously heavily guarded. She always only had Ungan, who was her guard but today the emperor's guard and his right-hand man were
"I just have to tell you this beforehand, I am extremely terrible at studying, I never had to do it" Irkal watches her like she is spewing some kind of nonsense. Did she not say she was going to try her best to ensure that the people were safe? Was she suddenly backing out? "Don't look at me like that, I never said I won't go on. I am just saying that I need a little more effort and push because I am bad at studying"Irkal looked away. She could not believe the fate of an entire kingdom rested on the shoulders of a woman who was bad at studying. "I will do my best," she said standing up. "And I will do my best to help you do your best, my princess," Irkal said. One could hear her using respective names to address her but her tone said otherwise. She sighed and looked at Irkal. "What do I do now?" she asked when the girl made no move. "After the prayer, the princess usually takes her bath and prepares to have a walk around the palace grounds""And let me guess you have to bathe me
Una had been horrible with anything that had to do with schooling. After joining the gang at eleven she had not paid attention to get studies and always came out at the bottom of the class despite Collin's efforts. Her school teachers had done everything to help her get better but she had refused all the help thrown her way. After all her life goal was to die while she was killing those who took the life of her parents. She did not care about grades. Once she was able to successfully scale through high school she dropped out of school without caring about the result of her final exams. She gave her all to the spy academy and that was how she was able to get to go on the mission that somehow landed her decades into the past. "I have to memorize things?" she asked starting at the girl in front of her. "Yes, the princess usually had said the prayers first thing when she woke up""Can I not just read it off the book?" "It is not a book but a scroll and no you can not read it if not i
Una lay on the bed as she soaked in the fine linen underneath her. She took deep breaths to steady herself. She could not bring herself to understand the situation. Although she had decided to take the situation the way it was she could not understand it. Was time travel true after all? Were the dramas and movies not lying? Did she go to the past or was this some kind of well-situated deep dream that made you believe in it? Last she remembered she was putting bullets and knives in the head and bodies of her parent's killers. She was satisfying the longest-sitting desire in her heart. She was pleased with herself even as she felt herself losing breath. She avenged those people by doing the needful. She could not sleep, after all, she had the best and longest sleep of her life since she landed in this strange land. She heard the matching of the entourage that had come with her. Were they practicing or were they patrolling? She could not tell. She sighed and closed her eyes. Irkal ha
SLOSALIA KINGDOMThe journey from the main palace to the mansion on the east coast took half a day and by the time the entourage got there it was dead night and it was exactly what they were aiming for. The woman who was now posing as the Princess and the whole crew who came with her found themselves sneaking into the mansion and settling down. "My princess," Irkal said as they entered the chamber prepared for her. "If you can just call me Una. Hearing you call me princess makes me afraid" Una tells her. "I am sorry but I have strict orders from the Emperor to treat you and train you as I would do the princess," Irkal said. Una could see that Irkal was not exactly pleased with her and her face showed it all. The two of them were in this unexpected situation and there was nothing both of them could do about it. They had to learn to accommodate and manage until a solution was provided for them. "I know you don't like me. It's so obvious that you don't but I want you to know that I
"Go ahead, Crown Prince. What is it that is troubling you" Madi said concerned. Copla was one of a kind person. He rarely had issues and when he did he solved them himself. He did not trouble the royal court by being a nuisance. He fulfilled his duties dutifully and did all he had to do when due. "I think I might have to visit Slosalia," Copla said. "You want to visit there? Why?" Madi asked. Uthyr felt his ears stand. He wanted to know why the Crown Prince was interested in Slosalia. Copla looked around uncomfortably and his eye landed on Uthyr who stood as a statue in the room corner. Copla gave him a look and then looked back to the king."Don't worry, he can be trusted" Madi said when he realized his discomfort. Copla took a deep breath. He hated what he was about to do but his gut feelings told him something had done wrong in the kingdom of Slosalia. How was he to convey the message to the king that would be understandable? "Crown Prince?" Madi said drawing his attention wh
KINGDOM OF IDUIVACAN "Your royal majesty," Uthyr said entering into the Royal chamber of the palace. The King of Iduivacan, Madi Rigia was in the royal chamber of the palace. He had just finished talking to the court men about the affairs of the state. He stood with his back to the door and he knew the voice of his trusted right-hand man Uthyr. "Yes?" Madi Rigia answered. "I have news from the kingdom of Slosalia," Uthyr said bowing his head to the ground. Madi Rigia turned and faced the man who had thrown himself to the ground and had not stood up. "Speak," Madi said going back to his throne. "The princess of Slosalia kingdom had been taken away from the palace walls for treatment. According to my source she is sick and needs urgent medical attention" Uthyr said. "What is the reason you are telling me this?" Madi asked. "Rise and then answer" he added. Uthyr stood up and gave a head now before proceeding to speak. "I still maintain my stance that the alliance by marriage bet
"I am the future of the kingdom, who more do you need to protect?" Aranar asked. "Crown prince, call yourself to order" Asalan commanded. "I am still your king and I have the final say. You might not even have the chance to be the king so do not think about challenging decisions" he added. "My emperor please do not say something as dreadful as what you just said," Inal said. The words of the monarch had sent chills down her spine. How was she to lift her head high up if her son did not end up as the crown prince? "I am sorry Kingdoms father," Aranar said when he saw the anger on his father's face. His lessons and tutors had thought him that the crown prince was the one among all royal blood to be given priority and protection. May the Emperor know better? "Let's retire to our chambers now. The princess would be back son and you would get tour guard back" Asalan said. "Yes nations father," Aranar said "Yes Emperor," Inal said as Aranar spoke. Inal and Aranar moved out of the r
Ungan leads the way and takes the crown prince and Empress to the main palace where the king was. "Empress" Asalan said when he set his eyes on Inal and Aranar coming with the entourage behind them. "Emperor, Your Worship," Inal said courtesying a little. "Kingdoms Father," Aranar said too. The rest of the entourage bowed their heads to the ground to greet him. "Long life the Emperor" they all echoed. "Stand up, leave us," Asalan said as a command to the entire crew following them. "My Lord," Inal said. Since she was married to him and now held the rank as the Empress she could address the Emperor as 'My Lord' when others were not around them. "My Lady" The Emperor responded. He was aware that she had been checking in with the princess since the yesternight. "I went to check on the princess but her room was dark and lifeless. It seemed as if no one was coming back there this night. I also went to your chamber and it was the same. Is everything alright my Lord" Inal said. T
"I thought you said the Emperor did not want to be disturbed?" Inal asked stepping back out of the dark room. "The emperor has gone on a stroll and asked that if anyone comes looking for him I should tell them that he doesn't want to be disturbed," Tiartu said. "Mother, I am glad to have found you here, "Aranar Enlim said.Aranar Enlim was the crown prince and he was just nine years of age. He had been looking around for his mom for a while. "Crown Prince, what are you doing here?" Inal asked when she saw him walk towards her. "I came to see the kingdom's father" Aranar responded. They had been thought to call the Emperor and address him as the Kingdom's father and the Empress as the Kingdom's mom. Aranar had refused to call Inal the kingdoms mom because she was his mom. "What for? Tell me I would help you relay the message to him" Inal said. She wondered if what his son was about to say had something to do with the disappearance of the princess and the emperor. "My guard has
