The hall was silent, still and dark. For a wolf like him, however, easily, the movement inside it could be detected. He was lucky to see it firsthand and pushed the rest of them outside of the door.

The current situation is so dreadful.

“You know it’s no use to use blackout tactics on people like me, right?” He delved his hand into the back pocket and tightened the grip on the dagger’s handler.

Even after willingly exposing his position, the people inside stayed stagnant.

He snorted at the ridiculous situation. “I can smell y’all and more importantly…” His nose raised in the air. “... my wife…” The glint of his eyes changed.

If he was alone, the possibility of him staying alive was close to zero but if his wife was here… if Lily was here… it would be a game changer. If his calculation was correct, that’s it.

He sniffed the air. Something was wrong. It was potent in the air. He hated it. Something dear to him.

As to torment him, to torture him.
