Another soldier also interjected his input regretfully.

“We can’t get involved in this battle. It can only end with the will of one of the warriors. All we can do is watch this sacred ritual from the side.”

Firash bit his lower lip. Why did they act as if this battle was some sort of offering? They were not offering or doing any ritual. It was simply a fight. He bet his chest in frustration that nowhere he spoke about.

“You are strong, brother. But not more than I expected. You seem to neglect your training.”

“I– I am not. Spit!”

Aidan spit out some blood and scoffed. His face was full of disgust. It looked like he had realized how crazy Shadow was.

Shadow looked at him with a smile still.

But, Shadow was admiring Aidan’s tenacity so much. He would stand back up even after being beaten to a pulp repeatedly. He would never give up. He seemed like a character out of a children’s cartoon. The hero or whatever it was.

‘That is why he is a crown prince. His endurance is on another level.
