Arrogant Jerk

Ever heard of the relationship between the tongue and the teeth, always fighting but can’t do without each other? Well that’s similar to the situation ship between me and Ontario Reyes, well except I can do without him but I do no think the same is the case on his end. Don’t ask me why, I don’t know. We’ve just been in each other’s lives since like forever.

Let go of me!” I half-yelled

“FINE” His annoying voice said and with a loud thud, I found myself on the floor. Silly me! I couldn’t even manage to gain my footing. To think he’ll even drop me to the ground? Really?

“Ouch!” I think I sprained my ankle; I winced in pain. It hurts! So bad, somebody call my momma.

But the Devil?😠 he did nothing but stared down at me like I was some kind of entertainment or something.

“Won’t you help me up?” I asked through gritted teeth.

“It was you who asked me to let go of you” He replied with an annoying smirk on his face. I just want to slap him across the face and wipe that smirk off it.

“Yeah, cuz your face was giving me the creeps” I said and managed to get up to my feet with the help of the wall.

“WHAT? This gorgeous face?” He asked surprised

Well, I’ll leave it to him that he has a gorgeous face, I mean the nurses walking past us can’t even stop gawking, Eww!

But he is not a gorgeous as my Jake!

Jake!!! Oh shoot!

I was on my way to attend to Jake before this idiot stopped me.

“Get out of my way you fool!” I yelled pushing Ontario out of my way and running into the ward Jake was admitted in.

Too bad I was in a haste, I couldn’t stop to see the aggrieved look on his face. Good for him, ha-ha

I entered the ward and Jake was not in bed, instead I saw a dark shadow standing and looking out through the window. That’s definitely him, I recognize even his shadow! I’m a super fan, duh!

“Excuse…..Ouch! Ouch cramp!” I said clutching the ankle I sprained earlier, I did a lot of running than the usual today but did this stupid cramp have to happen now? I’m about to confess my feelings to the only guy that matters.

But wait!! I’m screaming my lungs out in pain and this guys won’t even move an inch? What absurd arrogance! Rich people and manners are far apart. *Scoffs*

“Help, can you please help me?” I asked hoping he would heed but he didn’t even turn his face to look at me, How mean.

What do I do now?🤷

Oh, he’s moving! He’s picking up the intercom beside the bed. ‘Hey look at me I’m over here’ I almost screamed

“Hi……”

OH DREAMLAND!! I just heard his voice and it was not on tape. His voice could be used as a soothing pill!

But the ‘HI’ wasn’t to me, it was into the phone. “Someone seemed to have sprained her ankle, could you come check?” He hung up after those few words. Oh at least he’s doing something.

Not more than a minute later, Phoebe came into the room, I’m confused! How is she always everywhere?

“What happened Doctor?” She asked bending over to where I sat on the floor clutching my ankle

“She was star-struck so she sprained her ankle!” Jake Reid said, picking his phone and walking out of the room.

My eyes followed his departing figure, I took in everything about him, from his expensive clothes and shoes, he wore gloves on both hands too, I once read somewhere that he had severe OCD and how actresses and actors he worked with had to bath and sanitize before they had skin contact with him, I looked from his clothes to the priceless set of diamond rings that adorned all ten of his fingers. He wore a single pink earring and it was so beautiful! Oh mom, your dear daughter is in love with the most handsome man alive

“He’s leaving, stop him!!!” I drooled.

“Hey!” Phoebe snapped bringing me back to reality “Your patient just left!!”

“UHN?” I’m in trouble, he did just walk out of the room and I stood, well sat, star struck adoring him.

My ankle seemed to heal immediately as I jumped up to my feet and went on his heels. I looked round the hallway but didn’t find him, What the heck is he? Flash? How can a human be this fast?

There he is !

The parking lot, of course he’d want to drive away

I hurried over to where he stood, he was about to get into his car

“WAIT!!” I said in the most authoritative voice I had. I said ‘WAIT’ but what I really meant was ‘DON’T LEAVE ME, DARLING’

“What?” He asked but why does his voice sound so distant?

“You need to complete your check-up before you can leave” I said facing the ground, I’m scared I wouldn’t be able to say anything if I looked him in the eye! I’ll just be lost in the beauty of those eyes. Oh dear!

“I’m Okay, I do not need Medical attention!” He said getting into the driver seat.

Charlotte! he’s about to close the car door, do something!

“Sorry sir, but you can’t leave the hospital yet, it’s against our rules”

But he didn’t listen, Instead he went ahead and slammed the door; Good thing I removed my hand else...Oh my poor fingers!

He started the car and Zoomed off!

“Hey!” I yelled after him but it was of no use

“Hahahahahh!” I heard Ontario’s mocking laughter “You just lost and ordinary patient!!”

No, I’m not in the mood to bicker, I’ll just leave.

“You could have done something but you were being such a cute fan!” He taunted.

Charlotte! You will do nothing but walk away, WALK AWAY!!

And that’s what I did

“Don’t forget to report to my house on Monday morning!” Ontario shouted behind me

That bastard, did he just have to remind me of my sad reality?

Well, so my celebrity crush turned out to be one hell of a arrogant and annoying dude! I swear I’ll never believe anything I see on TV, never again.

I might as well grow old without ever falling in love. Sad!

“Hey, you’re Charlotte right?” An arrogant looking young lady said walking up to me

Yeah, go on and ruin the rest of my day!

I nodded in response

“Well that lady over there said you’re the doctor taking care of Jake, Take me to see him right now!” She ordered like she was some kind of big shot or something

“Yeah, Looking at you am guessing you have a nice car, if you stop wasting my time and get into your car I’m sure you’ll catch up with him in a matter of minutes, Excuse me!” I took my leave after saying that but the annoying lady still came at me, she pulled my lab coat from behind

“Hey, I said where is Jake?” She asked again, we were standing shoulder to shoulder and I seem to have seen her before, on TV maybe?

“I said he already left!” Removing her hand from my clothe, I headed in the direction I was going in before. Oh lady please don’t follow me again

“What sort of hospital is this? Are your patients always discharged so soon?”

She’s definitely not asking me that, is she?

People are taking out their phones already, I knew it she’s some kind of Celebrity. I better get out of here. Covering my face with one end of my coat, I escaped to my office.

“ARRGH!! Worst day ever!”

Even Zoey already left….

Why did everything have to turn out so bad? here I was thinking it was going to be a great day, I mean it started well, with Christine finally walking and then Dr. Bell finally giving me the raise.

My day started going downhill when he mentioned working at Ontario’s family house. See it’s all Ontario’s fault. That is why I don’t like him, always out causing trouble for me.

I thought seeing Jake Reid would make my day even better, he made it worse. I hope Dr. Bell doesn’t write me a query, I tried my best to stop him. He was just too arrogant and handsome to listen.

Can’t wait till my shift is over, I can finally go home and probably eat some of my mom’s deliciously cooked food and that might just lift my mood. Yeah.

Mom will be happy to know I finally got the raise and can now actually afford Khloe’s insulin.

Don’t ask about my dad, he was never around. I don’t know him, but mom made sure I bear his last name.

Khloe and I don’t have the same dad, her dad died a year after she was born, leaving just me, mom and Khloe. We’ve been there for each other ever since.
