Sammy become aware that someone is looking at her. Sitting upright in the middle of her bed her eyes searched the bedroom carefully. The space is darkened except for the moon that peeked through the half drawn curtains.
Nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary but she still feels the intensity of the eyes. She definitely wasn’t alone. Throwing the blankets from her body she reaches out to switch her night light on. Pulling on her gown she stands in the middle of the room frightened but strangely stubborn. She tries sensing from where the ominous looks are coming from. Her door is shut so there must be something else out of character in here.
The watchful eyes continued looking at her. The very arrogance of it all made her angry.
Looking around in her bedroom, everything is basic in its necessity. Moving towards her wardrobe she opens the door wide clothes that apparently were hers was hanging there. Reaching deeper inside she feels the back looking for a f
Peter come running down the stairs but only the echo of the slammed door greeted him downstairs. He opened the door but the street is empty.“Sammy! Where on earth are you?”Sammy has taken TheoFista to the highest hilltop in Steinkopf. Down below them is the tableau of tourist chalets. The springtime is rolling past it was nearly summer.“I grew up surrounded by buildings.” says TheoFistaSammy looks up into the clearness of the sky. A longing so deep suddenly takes hold of her leaving her breathless with an unexplained ache that threatens to swallow her.“At first glance, this really is a harsh, vast but rather uniquely region. What nature offers here you rarely found it somewhere else, The Northern Cape is yours to discovery in many ways that would delight and fascinate you,”Sammy speaks with a pride that isn’t lost on her friend.“Don’t get me wrong but I wish my brother is he
Sammy opens her eyes completely unaware she is in a sleep-form of trance. Her feet lead the way towards the graveyard. With a subconscious secure step she found three graves. She stands there looking without comprehending. The storm that seems to subside earlier found strength to gather the clouds fiercely together again. It is almost like nature feels the intensity of her turbulent emotions, feelings she as yet seemed unable to understand.Sometime pass while she just stand there looking. When the first of the raindrops landed on her head somewhere deeply within her she know she must move. There is a kind of aggression in nature finding a link within her. Her feet doing the walking on its own towards the place she knew as home.Sammy opens the front door standing within the open frame. Lightening is playing behind her, while rain is pouring down on top of her. She just stands there waiting. The images within her mind were a kaleidoscope of distorted frames.
Sammy opened her eyes. She saw him standing within the shadows on her bedroom’s corner. She instantly sat up straight looking intently at him.“Who are you?” she whispered.“My intent the first time I saw you was rather harmful. I had watched you and came to another conclusion. It’s never too late in a man’s life to change his ways.”“What is your name? Are you part of my waken demons? I can’t seem too distinguished between what I know to be right and what a lie is.”“Sammy trusts your instincts. I promise it won’t let you astray. You and I are connected.”“In which way if I may ask?”“Your cousin Charlie she is my wife but a deed or two made her took flight from me. I love her and want her back.”“What do you want from me?”“Just a conversation to set me straight you see for a long time I lived a certain way
A burst of wind seemed to want to rip the roof from the house. This seemed to startle her seriously. Instinctively he reached for her. He held her firm afraid she might be cast away before his eyes. The heaven’s opened pouring serious buckets of water on top of the roof. He reached out again and bodily took hold of her before placing her now in the middle of the bedroom he was currently using; she was still wet and really cold.Sammy looked at him with the strangest expression trying to place him somewhere in her memory. Nothing seemed to click but there was something magical about him. She found her fascinated with him. Like a wide-eyed child she watched him moved about preparing what seemed to be a hot bath. He came back to her.“May I?”She simply stood there watching him with the silliest smiles suddenly wanting to kiss him. The moment she realized his eyes were twinkling she blushed.“I would like that very much but I think yo
Peter woke in the middle of the night finding his arms were empty. Like a bolt of lightning he was from the bed searching the house but finding no trace of her. Returning to the bedroom he dressed then left the house. The night was rather chilly but filled with stars. Getting into his car he drove to the house she thinks of as home. The place was darkened though and this even though it was night didn’t set well with him. Circling the house to his surprise he found a light burning and the window was slightly ajar. Careful not to disturb whoever was in there he took a peek. Sammy sat in the middle of her bedroom just staring at that rucksack of her. Very carefully he opened the window wider before lifting his tall frame through the opening. He knelt behind her wrapping his arms around her. “Hello my handsome.” She leaned back into his arms. “Why did you leave me?” He queried keeping the worry from his voice. “I had to search now I am los
Sammy reached the place she called home. Standing right in front of the house her mind was a burning whirlpool of conflict. She took flight from this house as a dowdy duck. She carried silhouettes with her. Tears of yesterday were part of her life. She heard echoes on stormy nights. Moonlight shadows were cast over her but she remembered the sizzling of her blood. It was more than a memory. Her future was cast all she had to do was find the path. She was taught long ago…“Against all logic or reason the heart would know the face belonging, the name would follow to be written. Within the stars everyone was destined to meet their soul mate. It was foretold…kismet. Peter William. Are you reality or fantasy?”The name burnt through the essence of her being. The intensity of it all allowed blackness to settled over her.Sammy sat motionless in the garden. She wore a far away expression. When she woke this morning she came to the concl
Peter walked across the floor and gently but firm helped Margie from the bedroom. It suddenly dawned on him. Quietly opening the door he checked it. Closing it he locked it hearing the bolts shut into place. Looking at the door a worry builds inside of him. Turning he faced her. She had climbed so silently from her hiding place. “Am I deluded?” Peter walked over to her. He took her by the hand and led her to the bed making her sit on top while he knelt before her. “Love, I gathered at first that you didn’t recognize me. Instinctively though you did know me. Deluded you are not. For some reason or another someone in this house are playing tricks on you.” He kept his tone soft and even wondering absently if the room wasn’t bugged by chance. “Why would it be done? I am harmless, aren’t I?” “I don’t know. Something isn’t right in your family. After our last puzzled conversation I did a bit of checking. Everything was shrouded in secrecy. Tell me,
Sammy was in her workshop drawing images that flow from her mind. Everything was dark and sinister. Peter took David by the arm and led him into the small kitchen. He left the door ajar wanting to keep an eye on her.“What do you know?”“Sammy is a very private person. You are very close to her. Watch her, listen, guard, you’ll know what to do. Find her diary.”Peter sat in the chair quietly watching his wife. She was so intent on her drawings that she didn’t even seemed aware of his presence. He reached into his jacket’s inner pockets. The rings were still hidden in safety. Slipping his hand within the other pocket he retrieved the small diary.Turning a couple of pages he found the difference from innocent girl turning her written word moody, frightened, and lost.“Dear mommy and daddy,I woke this morning and found you gone. Why did you leave me alone?&r
Desire continuously sparkled with a growing intensity that covers leaps and bounds of strength. Their joined heat was heightening also the pleasurable enjoyment completely obvious between them. Tears revealed the intensity of what she was feeling. Peter softly kissed the warm salty drops away before setting about loving the woman who filled him completely. There was no fancy tricks just simple desirous lovemaking. Sammy gasp as Peter leaned forward and kissed her deeply arousing her to heights of extreme sensitivity. He was awakening her now his mouth slip from hers traveling across her exposed throat teasing the beating pulse that throbbed so crazily. She gasps anew when his burning lips closed over one nipple, kissing, teasing clearly enjoying her. The nipple was erect standing proudly closed to his mouth that played over it again before the other nipple received the same pleasurable treatment. A breathless shocked moan escaped over her lips but he
Sammy opened her eyes. The first thing she noticed was the white wall. When she tried to move she discovered she was seriously drowsy. Just before alarm set in, she became aware she wasn’t alone.A relief like she never felt set in when she found her looking into the sleepy face of the man she remembered calling in her desperate hour of need. Leaning back against the pillow she closed her eyes. Sleep enfolded her gently.Sammy opened her eyes much later. She just stared at the gathering of people sitting quietly around her bed. They all appear in a state of sleep. Then she saw this time without alarm the shadows of her own family. They had gathered around Peter, her Daddy resting his hand on Peter’s left shoulder while mommy was doing the exact with his right shoulder. Danny sat knelt in front of him.“I love you too,” she whispered. Their silhouettes vanished forever but the memories of them were now fully intact.A strong secure
Sammy found her falling down into a deep black abyss. Her hands were held out in appeal to be set free. All she heard around her was her own screams and that crazy laughter. She was falling and it felt like it was never ending.“Wake up, love.”Peter shook her firm but with definite intensity. Her eyes flew opened up she don’t seemed awake really. She was more in a trance.Sammy climbed from the bed. Like it was the most normal thing in the world especially that time of night she reached for that rucksack.“What are you doing?”Peter had switched on the light.“I should get dressed.”“Where do you want to go this time of the night?”“I must search for the answer.”“Do you know what the question is, love?’“No. The quest is on. I must not fail.”“Who am I on this quest, love?”Peter watched her wonder
Sammy was thoughtful for a long time while she just looked at him. Strange words were whirling around in her mind.“What are you thinking now, love?’“You keep placing that term of endearment at my feet. Why?’“It suites you do you mind?”“Your wife might.”“She won’t. Once you let her into your heart, you’ll know.”“Sometimes the way you are talking, I should now her. Am I right Peter?”“You know my wife better than anyone in this world. You are two halves of the same coin.”“How is that possible? I was ill for a long time.”“That is the truth of another. Your version of events will come full circle.”“Peter, why are you talking like this? What do you really know about me? The way you sometimes talk, I feel like you are treating carefully around me.”“Life is sometimes n
Sammy opened her eyes. For the longest time she just looked. The sun was setting behind the family tableau. The man was tall with an easy going smile directed at the beautiful woman who held the hand of the little boy who was trying his best to walk. The boy was all giggles.“I can see a family. They are happy.”“Where do you find yourself in the picture?”Sammy looked around before growing restless. She felt the caressing hand on her back. This gesture calmed her taking away the fear. She blinked.“I am back at the crossroad. The family is gone.”“Don’t worry. Take another walk. Learn what’s in your mind.”“I am afraid.”“Don’t be. Remember within your dream my arms are safely around you. No one will pass the circle of safety.”“Hold me tight.”“Never fear.”Peter settled her more securely beside him.
Sammy was lying in the hammock. When Peter joined her their bodies rolled intimately together. Just like in her bedroom she nestled within the framework of his tall body.“I seem so at ease with you. It’s rather strange. I can even say I trust you instinctively. Go ahead with the tale. I think though you might have jumped the story a bit. You seemed lost to me when you entered the shop. What happened before you went there?”“You are right. Let me see. Oh yes. I had seen this beautiful creature as I stepped from the plane. It was a long business flight and I was tired. She was instantly on sight like a magic tonic that revived me in a flash. The airport was busy that day. I want to be as close to her as possible but like an elusive butterfly she kept avoiding me. The more I want to catch up with her the more I lost sight of her.”“You did catch her though?”Her expression was filled with child-like eagerness reveal
Peter stood in the open door looking at the rumpled bed. He just can’t get use to how quick his wife could move about. Without being told he knew where he would find her. She just can’t seem to stay away from that house.“I know who killed my parents. They are haunting me, making me a liar.”He stood there within the door while the words were whirling around in his mind. He was startled out of his reverie when a hand touched his arm firmly.“It’s time that we talk, brother in law.”Peter looked into the very serious face of Charlie Hoffman. When she turned he followed her. In the living room he noticed all the drawing was against the wall.“You question me and I’ll answer.”“I want Sammy here. Could you arrange this?”“Most things are possible with me. However you know there are too many players in this lover’s tale. You must learn the truth about each
