I couldn't believe what just happened, even Riddhi and Adya were shocked. The elderly lady who had insulted me yesterday had come to my room to apologize. I felt bad for her, I knew her views would be different because she had lived all her life seeing such stuff so her opinions were based on her experience. To be honest, I didn't feel much worse when she had insulted me, instead, I didn't like it when she had to apologize.
"Dhruv is crazy," commented Adya feeling proud of his friend.
"He did right," said Riddhi.
I didn't say anything. Fortunately, Dhriti was not there when all this happened otherwise she would have got to know about it and I didn't want anyone to be sad.
"Here, have this you both." Simran came with two glasses of juice for me and Adya. We made faces but there was no way out so we had to drink it.
"Now I know your dislike towards this," I said to Adya pointing towards the glass of juice.
"Finally,
Niharika******I was very tired. All the events were enjoyable but tiring as well. I came out of the shower and found my phone ringing. I frowned looking at the unknown number still picked it up thinking it might be urgent."Hello," I said after picking up the call but regretted the moment when I heard that annoying voice."I heard this angelic voice after so long. I missed you.""Shivani.""So you remember me? I thought you would have forgotten me. By the way, it's Ms. Oberoi for you." I rolled my eyes at her attitude."Right now I am not in the office so you can't order me around. If you want to discuss something about the deal then come to the office instead of calling me at odd hours." I had totally forgotten that we are working on a deal with her father and she leaves no chance to tag along with him. Why? Well, she is obsessed with Dhruv."Odd hours? Looks like you are out of London because here in London we don't
Dhruv******Holding my hands tightly she was ready, ready to let the secret out. I had got up when she confessed about seeing her mother at the airport. She was sitting in front of me, ready to reveal a part of her past and I had never felt this much nervous before. I was scared and had no idea what truth was coming my way.But I was sure of one thing, whatever the truth was, I was about to feel that dreadful pain again. The pain that left me wretched for the last seven years."I still remember the day when you had confessed your feelings to me. I remember each and every detail, how you have made me feel special with your every gesture." she started looking into my eyes."The food you had Sheela Aunty prepared for me, the muffins you baked for me, the heart-shaped cutlets and the way you were embarrassed." she smiled with tears in her eyes reminiscing our first date. She remembered, all of it.Adding further she said, "I knew that you were
Dhruv******I had increased muffin's and my family's security after Shravan Pant threatened me. I can't take any risk with her or anyone's safety. The meeting with Andrew and the rest of the security team took hours so I had already informed Maasi that I won't be able to pick up muffin. I didn't have the heart to tell her myself. Deciding to apologize to her the next day I went back to my home.Being tired I went inside my house and surprisingly aroma of my favourite dish reached my nostrils.Did Chatterjee Uncle hire a new cook? The last I remember I had fired my cook around seven months ago and since then I have been cooking for myself. Opening my coat I threw it on the couch and made my way towards the kitchen while loosening my tie. The moment I entered the kitchen the scene in front of me made me astonished. For a moment I couldn't believe the sight in front of me."Muffin." She turned around with her beautiful smile. I had not even ta
**WARNING-- MATURE CONTENT IN THE END OF THE CHAPTER********Dhruv******I didn't get any reaction from muffin just like I had predicted. She kept the form back in the folder and went out of the room without saying anything.Shit! Did I mess up that bad?"Muffin, wait," I yelled following her. She went to the kitchen, took the dishes having cooked food, and started putting them on the dining table. She was avoiding the conversation but I was hell-bent on making her agree.I yanked her towards me making her face me."Stop running away." I had held her waist firmly so that she couldn't get out of my hold"I am not running away." she laid her head on my chest wrapping her hands around my torso. She had become upset but I was doing it for her happiness.I caressed her hair before saying, "Yes, you are. You are running away from your dream, the dream you used to live for.""It's it's not my dream anymore," she
Saavi******Persistency always leads to success and my husband dearest is proving it so well. He is not leaving any stone unturned to convince me to resume my studies. He is not doing anything directly but making indirect consistent efforts. He almost convinced me yesterday by telling me about one of his friends Vishakha Awasthi. She is living the life I almost dreamt of. I know I am the only hindrance between me and my dream still I don't have that courage left in me."Muffin, pass me the salt please." I passed the small bottle of white powder to my husband who was busy cooking dinner while I was helping him too. We had guests coming over and Dhruv hadn't uttered a word about who was about to come. All I knew was they were two people as we were cooking for four."Dhruv, you will still not tell me?" I asked"Nope." I had no idea what was the need to hide it. I was about to meet them in a few hours anyway."Please.""Fine, but first f
**Warning:- A slightly mature content in the end********Author********FLASHBACK SEQUENCE STARTS********'What did I tell you last night?' The lady in her late thirties asked the teenager who was standing holding her hands. Her hairs were disheveled while her eyes were red and puffy. Anyone could decipher that she was just a mere servant of the big household.'Saavi, you know I don't like to repeat myself.' yelled Surbhi Ahuja at her daughter.'Tell me, what did I tell you last night?' she asked again keeping her voice low and dangerous this time.'To..to behave in front of everyone.' Saavi replied crying not looking into the eyes of the devil standing in front of her.'Then why the hell did you slap one of my guests?' she yelled again making her flinch. Saavi was filled with fear and was crying hysterically.'Oh, God! I am asking you something. Stop with your cries and answer me.' Surbhi was running ou
Saavi******I felt something tickling me. I removed the thing from my back and came in contact with something warm. I snuggled more into the one from which the comforting warmth was radiating. After a while, I could still feel something running over my arm."Stopppp," I whined in my sleep. My cheek came in contact with the soft warm material and I could hear a rhythm, that felt like beats, heartbeats.I felt lips on my hair and fingers running on my back making me realize something. The warm thing was my husband's chest and I was lying on him in a semi-nude state. I slowly opened my eyes but didn't dare to look up at him. I tried to sneak away swiftly but he pulled me closer. Our bodies were so close and the state we were in without half of our clothes made me shy.Lifting my chin he made me look at him and said, "Good Morning, Love.""Good Morning," I mumbled. I suddenly was feeling conscious of my state and wanted to cover myself. My hand
Dhruv******I was missing muffin. Without her hugs and sweet kisses, my days are empty. I acted like a kid. How could I feel jealous of a puppy? I was about to call her but then a meeting came up accidentally and I headed towards the meeting room with Niharika. As I came back from the meeting Andrew was waiting for me in the cabin. His presence was an indication that something serious had happened. My mind wandered over my wife and I asked,"My wife?""Don't worry, sir. Ma'am is safe and under the radar." I felt a little relieved after hearing him."What's wrong this time?""There are some important unavoidable issues that were needed to discuss." After I took a seat on the couch Andrew told me that someone was keeping an eye on my muffin and my whole family. The phones might be tapped that's why he came himself to inform me."Look into the matter on an urgent basis, Andrew." I thought to warn everyone to make their conversation on t
Dhruv******I was engrossed in looking at the news article posted on the business world website but my mind was not there as it had lost its peace. I had been aloof and had become gloomy from the last two days.I wasn't in favour of the idea but I had no option, instead of rebuking muffin. She had been not taking care of her health. If not for her gynecologist I would have never known she was suffering from PCOD.I was furious at her for not sharing the important information with me but what made me angrier was she was still not giving up on fast food. I went to pick her up from the college two days ago and found a burger in her hand. She was instructed by the gynecologist to avoid junk food but she didn't pay heed to her advice. We argued, had a little fight to be precise and I had to stop talking to her to make her realize she was at fault. I stopped feeding her. Neither I talked to her nor have been answering any of her questions from the last
Saavi******I walked outside towards the gigantic black coloured iron gate after being tired of the hectic day I had to go through."S.V" called one of my classmates as well as my new friend, Elena.I stopped in my track and found her running towards me."Happy weekend.", she said."You too.""You sure, you are not joining us on the trip?" She asked about the trip our batchmates were going to the coming weekend."No, my husband is coming.""Okay, then. Happy romantic weekend." She winked in the end. I couldn't help myself but blush at her remark."Damn girl, only on the mention of his name you turned red."What could I have done? Our love was still like a new one. The pain from my life vanished as if it never existed as if there was no relation between me and the miseries. Dhruv and everyone made sure to keep me happy always."See you on Monday then, bye," said Elena and went towards her car.
Dhruv******Saavi was sleeping like a baby, holding me. I didn't have the heart to wake up my sleeping beauty so I let her."Everything is fine now, love. Just like I have promised. The devils are gone and I assure you that I will never let the darkness reach you. I will always shield you through my light. Though, I want you to stand beside me and fight your own battles just like you have always done. Because you, my love, is a warrior, my warrior queen." I confessed before kissing her forehead. With my one slight movement muffin's sleep was disrupted. She opened her eyes slowly rubbing them with her right hand. When her eyes landed upon me she blinked multiple times to make sure I was there, with her."Dhruv." she called smiling."Yes, love. Good Afternoon." She had slept when I reached home after the mission. I woke up after having a sleep of four hours as my phone's ringtone disturbed my sleep when grandpa had called.I was caress
Author******Arjun and Kiaan entered Surbhi's house from the backside. Though they had permission to go in from the front yet they had to be cautious when going for such a task. Dhruv had already disabled the CCTV of the house and handled the security team so there was nothing to worry about. Both Arjun and Kiaan first climbed up. They went inside the room whose window was open. Surbhi had clearly told them about the house's rooms and directions. To start their plan the first thing they had to do was to find Shanvi's room.It didn't take much effort and time of theirs as the colour of her room's entrance door was off white while others were brown. To their relief, the door to her room was not closed from inside.Shanvi was fast asleep on her bed. Arjun swiftly injected her with the needle and picked her up in his arms."She is heavy," he whispered to Kiaan."So, what did you think, you have to carry a cotton ball?""Still, dud
Author******"Muffin," Dhruv yelled being scared looking at the terrible state of his wife who was lying on the floor and was having difficulty breathing.Everyone gathered listening to Dhruv's voice. Shrikant couldn't see his daughter in the state she was."Saavi," calling her he sat down beside her and not knowing what to do started rubbing her palms."Namit," Dhruv called his friend who understood what he had to do."I am calling the doctor," Namit said taking out his phone."Muffin, ple....please..be with me. Don't close your eyes, please.""Dhruv, she is hyperventilating," said Hredhaan. Dhruv had handled her previously in that state. He was aware of what he had to do. So he pulled her closer, providing her oxygen through his mouth.Rajni witnessed everything that happened with the precious daughter of Surbhi. Her distraught state scared everyone. She was stunned to see Shrikant alive and didn't understand whether
Author******"I knew Surbhi for long." Rajni started to narrate the truth, the truth she was aware of. She was not the only one who knew the whole truth but she knew more than Shrikant."We used to live in the same locality. She was born into a family that despised her because she was a girl. Even though she was richer than me but was never happy. She never received love from her family. Even after not receiving the love she deserved she never complained. It's not like she never tried, she did. She studied hard, always scored good marks only to be left disappointed in the end as her parents never cared.Surbhi had a dream, to do something for women, to educate society that a girl is not a burden and for the same, she wanted to be an officer. Her family never stopped her from studying, but they were against her decision of joining any institute to study further after her graduation. They wanted to marry her off. But Surbhi had other plans and for the same
Saavi******Dhruv had slept but my sleep was not on my radar. I tried to but couldn't as my mind was filled with numerous thoughts and the jetlag worked as the icing on the cake. I laid down thinking about my life, my journey from a naive kid to a girl who has now mindful of the deepest, darkest secrets of the dark world.I was someone who didn't know the exact meaning of love but now I know the deepest meaning of it, I have felt it, lived it with the person who loves me unconditionally.I was unaware of what a family is until Dhruv stepped into my life. With him came my life's greatest surprises, blissful days, friends who tease me, love me, play with me, and family who treats me as their own.Dhruv seemed tired so without waking him up I got out of the bed and went in the balcony to stay there for a while. I was left startled when I was back hugged by non-other than my husband dearest five minutes after I went to the balcony."You are awa
Author******"Get me out of here," yelled David."Why Pankaj? You have been here for only two days and you have started to hate this place? Am I not a good host?" Saavi questioned innocently taking a seat in front of him. She had found a way on how to torture the devil."Host? You are a bitch, a pathetic bitch, more pathetic than your mother." When David shouted Saavi put her hands over her years and said softly, "Pankaj, calm down, your BP will get high.""How many times do I have to tell you my name is David, David Russo. Call me by my real name, call me David.""Why? Do you find it obnoxious Pankaj Sharma when I call you by your real name?"David stared at the girl sitting right in front of him who didn't look vulnerable to him. She was not whom he had abducted, she was not the one whom he had tortured, instead, she was the one who was confident of herself, someone who carries positive vibes, someone whose aura is strong."
Author******"It was the year 1991 when I first saw her, your mother Surbhi. It was not love at first sight, we met at a coaching institute in Delhi where we both were preparing for Civil Services Examination. Just like my father I wanted to be a cop and had a desire to serve the country." Shrikant started to narrate his part of the past in front of his daughter who was mutely listening to her father's every word holding her husband's hand."We had never talked but one day she approached me asking my help in studies as I was excelling and was scoring good marks in every test being held by the institute. She was demotivated and upset regarding her marks. I helped her and that's how we were introduced. With passing time we became good friends, to be precise, I started to develop feelings for her, but always eschewed myself from getting involved with the technical term Love as my career was my priority for which I had been living. I had already failed in on
