CH 61.

Lucas was finally feeling better and more like himself. He had been cooped up in the house for what felt like forever, and he was eager to get back to work. He missed the routine of it all, the sense of purpose it gave him. And of course, the paycheck wasn't bad either.

He dressed in his best suit, wanting to make a good impression on his first day back. Andrianne was there to see him off, a smile on her face as she gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Good luck today," she said. "I'll be thinking of you."

Lucas grinned. "Thanks, I'll need it."

As his chauffeur maneuvered through the uptown road to work, Lucas couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. He missed the hustle and bustle of the city, the sound of traffic, the energy of the people. He pulled into the parking garage and took a deep breath. It felt good to be back.
