BIANCA’S POV

After taking several million photos of my adorable fashionista in his outfit, Darren arrived. He wore a white shirt and black trousers with his signature suspenders dangling around his waist. His hair was styled to ultimate perfection, and he had three rings on each finger. He looked ready for a day at an orchard, a walk down the red carpet, and evening tea with the queen all in one. I pitied Giovanni with a small smile; what had he done to deserve the punishment of having someone so good-looking within his reach yet so far away from him?

The drive to the villa was filled with Luca talking about his ‘Uncle Gio’. The sneaky little twat had apparently called his father just before I left, and any worries I had that they were going to be awkward, since Alessandro was technically meeting him for the first time due to his memory gaps, dissipated.

I could see Darren’s disappointment because Luca couldn’t provide more information than the fact that they were both funny in the sa

ALESSANDRO’S POVIt was funny how holding Luca made my anger subside so quickly. The staff lady was recommended by my eldest brother. He told me she was the daughter of someone important in witness protection. Apparently, they were still in hiding, and their daughter has been working here for three years. They would have to take her along with them when they surfaced. Anyone who had the audacity to talk back to Bianca—anyone at all—would face my wrath. Because of my brother, I would let her leave without scars.Daddy, your flowers are agents,” was the first thing my son said to me. This was the first time I could remember meeting him, but he smelled so familiar—like strawberries and something that reminded me of babies. I hugged him closer and stood up from my crouch.“Who told you their secrets?” I asked with a serious face. He shot a glance at Darren and looked back at me with the air of a man asked to protect the president.Uncle Darren did,’ he said. I held back the urge to bite h

DARREN’S POVMy need for gossip was strong, but I wasn’t completely deaf to environmental cues. I knew when I wasn’t wanted, so I decided to wander off in search of the excited little man who had gone running through the maze. I found him quickly enough, in the arms of his “Uncle Gio,” who was currently kneeling in the grass with pristine brown pants. I winced. The material of his outfit was too precious to be casually in the grass. I had expected that he’d dress up, and he didn’t let me down. His shirt was simple and white, but it molded to his body like he knew I’d get even more infatuated. I had to make my presence known and rescue Luca from the tank holding him down. I couldn’t let Luca get a favorite uncle that wasn’t me, after all.“Looks like someone doesn’t want to play in fountains anymore,” I said, throwing a teasing glance at Luca, who gasped and squirmed in Giovanni’s hold. “I wanna play in the fountains,” he shrieked, laughing as Gio began a tickle assault on the poor

DARREN’S POV“Oh, I’m sure you could,” I snorted, trying not to give him the satisfaction of knowing I was enjoying this. “But this is a garden, not a forest, and we’re trying to be civilized here. Aren’t we supposed to be focusing on the whole ‘friends’ part?”Gio’s smile didn’t fade, but he glanced at the stone bench again, like he wasn’t quite ready to sit just yet. “Yeah, I get it. Friends first. Benefits later,” he said with a wink that wasn’t helping the situation at all. “But, like... can we at least text? You know, when we’re not planning our next ‘hangout?’”He said it so casually, but I could feel the weight behind it like this wasn’t just about logistics. Was texting, part of the benefits? Or was that something more? Either way, I wasn’t going to let him see me hesitate. I shrugged, aiming for nonchalance. “Sure, why not? Texting’s not exactly relationship territory.”Gio’s eyebrows shot up like he was pleasantly surprised. “Really? Cool. I thought you’d make a big deal o

ALESSANDRO’S POVI lightly swiveled in my seat at the head of the round table, scowling as the familiar weight of responsibility settled on my shoulders. It had been too long since I’d been in the office, and I wasn’t exactly eager about being back. I preferred the quiet of working from home; there was a lot less nonsense to deal with. Beyond Giovanni being an idiot recklessly in love with his friend, and Leo still being a little mopey about his girl letting him in and leaving the house herself, working from home was a blessing from the heavens. But now, thanks to recent events, I was forced to drag myself into the spotlight again.Sophia had pushed her luck one too many times, continuing to send men after Luca and Bianca. If Bianca hadn’t stopped me, I would’ve ended Sophia's miserable existence right then and there. That beautiful woman had the nerve to tell me to hold off, saying I needed to regain my memories first. Memories or not, I knew enough to despise that bitch Sophia. And

MATTEO’S POV “You are all incompetent! Every single one of you!” I yelled. The men sitting around the table were making me forget all the good things that had been happening to me over the last few months. “S-sir, we delivered the pitch you approved—” Marco, the youngest head of the Department of Business Development, stammered. “Clearly, you didn’t, since we still don’t have an alliance with them,” I snapped, pinching my brows and trying to calm down. “Give me the minutes of that meeting and get out of my sight.” Very quickly, the men all got out of their seats and filed out of the room, as though every second with me was shaving years off their lifespans. Marco dropped the minutes in front of me with an unreadable expression, pinching his lips and bowing slightly. “He picked out all the issues we’re facing, sir. He’s not the playful idiot you said he was,” Marco said, judgment in his tone. “Are you speaking to me like that?” “No, sir. I’m sorry, sir,” Marco replied, and sudde

BIANCA’S POVIt has been a terrible month so far. People who knew absolutely nothing about me felt it right to comment on how evil I was for keeping a child from his father. I had to deactivate most of my social media.Whenever our social media handler updated the public about a new collection, they decided to use it to advocate for a better life for Luca, as if my son were suffering in any way.Frankly, the best part about everything was the fact that I was now one hundred percent certain that Luca wasn’t Matteo’s son. The verbal confirmation I got wasn’t nearly enough, especially since Alessandro had gaps in his memories. So, I plucked a little hair from both Alessandro and Luca when they were asleep and had it tested. It was a 99.9% match.I would have the conversation with Alessandro when he was whole again. He would explain the real reason he had decided to leave Luca and me to our own devices, making me think that Pig was my adorable baby’s father.Oftentimes, I got the urge to

  • EX-WIFE REVENGE: HE WANTS ME BACK!    CHAPTER 68 - I REALLY DO MISS YOU A LOT

BIANCA’S POV I paced the length of my office, the distant sound of typing echoing faintly through the door. Darren had left just moments ago to handle his end of the crisis, but the weight of everything still sat heavy on my chest. Public opinion was eating us alive, and now false theft accusations had joined the mix to concoct something so completely exhausting for me. I pulled out my phone and scrolled down my call list, hesitating for only a second before tapping Alessandro’s name. I needed the comfort of hearing his voice—just something to tether me before I lost it entirely. Sadness gripped my heart when I remembered he might be too busy to pick up the phone, but I batted my feelings away and called him anyway. The phone rang twice before his deep voice picked up. “Bianca?”“I just needed to hear your voice,” I said softly, my words tumbling out in a rush, and some semblance of calmness washing over me. There was a beat of silence, then a soft sigh from his end. “I’m coming

BIANCA'S POVWhen Darren brought in two pizzas and left to wherever he liked to go for lunch, I nearly cried. I had been subconsciously craving something inelegant for so long but had been too worried to think about it. Pizza was warm, greasy, and familiar—the most simple food to provide immediate comfort.“I hope your plan works, my love,” Alessandro muttered, removing everything from his face so I could clearly see my gorgeous boyfriend. It took a bit of effort to wrangle the little super spy out of his own suspicious face mask and sunglasses, but any protest was quieted down with a small slice of pizza shoved into his mouth. “You’re sure you want to handle it on your own?” he asked in concern, picking his own slice and eating it with an air of royalty.“I’m sure,” I said firmly, reclining in my chair and rolling it beside Alessandro. He turned his own chair to face me, and Luca came to sit between us, not wanting to be left out.“Why are you eating part of my slices, Daddy?” Luca a

RICARDO’S POVThe man I was a year ago would probably hate me now—or at least laugh at how far I’d fallen.Standing in the warm kitchen of the villa, with the scent of fresh herbs and garlic wafting through the air, I stirred the pot of sauce absentmindedly. Linda was sitting at the island, flipping through some magazines and occasionally humming to herself. She looked up every now and then to check on me, smile always at the ready.“I still can’t believe you cook,” Linda said, her voice lilting with playful disbelief as she rested her chin on her palm. She sat at the island like it was her throne, watching me work.“You’ve known for months,” I replied without looking up, though I couldn’t stop the slight twitch of a smile tugging at my lips.“Knowing and believing are two different things,” she said dramatically as if the mere thought of me wielding a spatula were too much to process. “I mean, come on. You, Ricardo Moretti, slayer of gangsters, protector of secrets, simmering marinar

THIRD PERSON POVLinda stared at the bouquet in her hands, utterly baffled. Roses, hydrangeas, and something that looked suspiciously like a baby's breath. It was the kind of bouquet people bought when they were trying to make a statement. The most ridiculous part was that her fans hadn’t been the ones to send it to her.She glanced up at him, her brooding, possibly homicidal boyfriend — he had become less homicidal, she had to give that to him — standing there like he hadn’t just handed her the boldest floral arrangement she’d ever seen.“You bought me flowers?” she asked, her voice laced with disbelief. His sharp, dark eyes flicked to her, then away, as though he were scanning the room for an escape route. His usual cool, unshakable demeanor had cracked just enough to reveal the faintest hint of discomfort. “Yes.”Linda squinted at him, holding the bouquet to her chest like he might snatch it away. “Are you dying?”“No.”“Did you do something terrible and now you’re trying to soften

RICARDO’S POVThe soft hum of the phone ringing cut through the tension in the air. I was elbow-deep in chaos, surrounded by the thick stench of gunpowder and the distant, muffled screams of men who were just realizing that their time was up.My team and I had spent the last few hours cleaning up the mess of corrupt gangsters who thought they could cross me. The usual mix of quick punches, fast moves, and lethal precision had done the job, but as always, it was the aftermath that lingered.I swiped my phone from the back pocket of my jeans, not even checking the ID. The ringtone was familiar enough; she had forced Rises the Moon on me herself, so I knew who it was. My lips involuntarily quirked as I lifted the phone to my ear.“Go for Ricardo,” I said coolly, stepping over the body of a man who’d decided to fight rather than run. “What’s up?”“Hey, you!” Her voice came through the phone, a little cracked but still unmistakable; the reception in the shitty warehouse couldn’t keep me fr

BIANCA’S POVI adjusted my blazer, glancing at Darren with a calm expression as we approached the visitor’s room. I’d been prepared for this moment, mentally rehearsing every word I’d say, ever since the beautiful day of his and the Dobres' downfall. Darren walked beside me – sauntered really – with the countenance of someone ready to kill a man. I would have liked to complain, but his protective presence was a comforting reminder that I wasn’t facing this alone. When we entered, Matteo was already there, sitting stiffly in one of the chairs. His once-pristine suit looked worn, almost threadbare, and there was a shadow of desperation in his eyes that hadn’t been there when he was the man I’d once known. The air of arrogance he used to carry was gone, replaced by something much smaller, much weaker.“Matteo,” I greeted evenly, my voice giving away nothing. I didn’t sit; he wasn’t worthy of being in a room where I was also seated in. Instead, I stood tall, my gaze unwavering as I let hi

  • EX-WIFE REVENGE: HE WANTS ME BACK!    EPILOGUE 1

BIANCA’S POV Three months later, I was halfway through drafting an email when the door to my office cracked open. “Mommy, can I come in?” Luca’s voice rang out, all sweetness and patience that I knew wouldn’t last long. I looked up from my desk to see my six-year-old poking his head around the door, his brown curls slightly mussed from running around. Behind him, Alessandro leaned casually against the doorframe, his usual composed demeanor tempered by the amused smile playing at his lips. “Are you alone?” I teased, arching a brow. “Or are you bringing trouble with you?” Luca giggled and stepped in, revealing Lazarro trailing behind him. The ten-year-old was holding a bag that looked suspiciously like it contained illegal items, but he was a ten-year-old, how much trouble could he bring along? “Trouble is relative,” Alessandro quipped, stepping into the room and pressing a kiss to the top of my head. “And you’re the king of it,” I shot back with a smirk. Luca climbed onto my lap

ALESSANDRO’S POV“Looks like the future’s here,” Bianca murmured in reference to what the patriarch had said before, her voice dripping with mock sympathy. Her gaze was fixed on the Dobre patriarch, whose previously smug composure now seemed on the verge of crumbling.I tilted my head slightly and slipped a hand around her to bring her closer, unable to resist. “What a shame it’s not the one they envisioned.”Darren sauntered over with a large smile on his face, and I could relate to him. He had been wanting to release the information about Matteo for such a long time, and I was certain it felt like a balm on his wearied soul to finally enact revenge against the scum.“Showtime,” he said, just loud enough for us to hear. The crowd was awash with murmurs and people whispering loudly, clearly intending to target the Dobres and make sure they heard their speculations. Lumari was confused, Samuel was furious, and Toria was trying to play the good wife. The negative energy in the room had

ALESSANDRO’S POVI leaned against the marble pillar, my fingers drumming idly on the rim of my untouched champagne glass. The evening was a disaster. Not the catastrophic, bloody kind of disaster I was used to handling, but the sort of slow-burn chaos that made me wish I’d missed the whole spectacle in the first place. And of course, it all started with Giovanni. My younger brother’s camera crew was bustling around the room, shoving microphones and lenses into the faces of people who, mere minutes ago, had been dignified power players. Now, they were giddy fans jostling for selfies and sound bites, trying to get their good sides.Larisa was hanging on to my arm for dear life like I was going to fade away into dust if she didn’t, and irritation clawed up my throat. If Bianca had been beside me instead of this bitch, I would have been able to enjoy the look on the Dobre patriarch’s face as his revered gala became a celebrity meet-and-greet. I only had to wait a little; she was in the ro

  • EX-WIFE REVENGE: HE WANTS ME BACK!     CHAPTER 148 - GIOVANNI'S ARRIVAL

LIMARI’S POVThe conversation had become a tangled mess of pleasantries, small talk, and carefully crafted smiles. It was all just so… predictable. I could feel the eyes on me, but not in the way I wanted. Tonight was supposed to be mine—mine to shine, mine to be the center of attention. I had worked hard for this, after all. I was the newest Dobre, the woman Samuel had chosen, the one who would help bring the family into the new age. I wasn’t just attending this gala; I was the gala. And yet, despite everything, my heart still thudded uneasily in my chest. The sensation wasn’t from Samuel, who stood tall beside me, a constant presence as calm as ever. No, the feeling came from Ricardo, Ricardo of all people, who, of course, had shown up looking effortlessly handsome, as though he hadn’t even tried. And, worse yet, he was with… her.Linda Collins. She stood beside him, the actress and writer who had quietly slipped into the crowd as though she owned it. People had already begun to rec
