CHAPTER 43 - GET SALVATORE HERE NOW

GIOVANNI’S POV

I was led deeper to see the man. He didn’t seem like much, but he had still apparently not volunteered enough information about the person who sent him. All he had given was her name. That was, thankfully, all I needed.

I left the men to do their work and went to the other side to get into our base and look for my brother. He had been more silent than usual these days, and I had first thought it was because he was worried for our youngest brother. Now I knew it was because of his woman and son, although I needed to grill him for not telling me I had a cute nephew already.

I twirled my gun and lightly continued into the base. I didn’t know when Darren would call me; I didn’t even know if he would actually call me, but the thought of the possibility made it difficult for me to hold on to my anger. So the walk to the base was filled with less anger than the initial one.
