CHAPTER 23 - I CAN'T LET ANYONE HAVE YOU!

LEO'S POV

As I struggled to understand my mother and my feelings, her voice broke through my thoughts.

“Leo, please,” she pleaded softly. "Just give him a chance. He’s trying to make things right.”

I looked at her, feeling a mix of frustration and concern. How could she not see through his act? How could she not realize he was just playing a part?
