For the last time

“I’ve got a call,” Eve announces waving the phone in the air.

Damn!

She knew how long she had been staring at her phone, hoping for it to ring.

“C’mon take the call,” Ernest said to her. She nodded and took in a deep breath.

“Tell me where you have my mother.”

“I’m sure the cop is listening, it’s gonna be a fair warning. Anyone who gets cross is gonna die” his cold voice said.

“You’re the only one who could come to too close Evie. The others should back off or don’t even come close, if they do, I would have her head off her neck.”

“You don’t have to go this far Jack.”

“Don’t fucking say shit to me!” He growled.

She raked her fingers over her head and turned her face to the wall.

“You know the building jumped off from, you should come there.”

“You were the one who pushed her.” She snarled.

“I’m not that heartless. If you want your mom and heirloom, you know where to come to find me. You should pay with your life.” He hung up on the phone.
