Eve's eyelids flapped open, she turned slowly on the bed, she was the only one in it. She rose and rubbed her eyes, another day it was. Standing, she strode to the calendar which she pasted on the wall, taking the marker from the table and stroking it. Fanny withdrew her clothes from the wardrobe, hurling them into the luggage. The side of her face had a few bruises in them. Her left eye was swollen and had dark circles around it. Her eyes went to the floor and saw red stains on it. She stared over at Jacky and back at the floor. Jacky looked back at her with furrowed brows. The red stains were on the stairs as well.
