"Are you nervous, Venus?" the van driver, Delfin, asked Lara as they headed to the party.
Delfin, an older man who seemed about the same age as her father, possessed a gentle demeanor that mirrored her Papa's. His kind tone resonated with genuine kindness.
Lara nodded, stealing a quick glance at Delfin before turning her attention back to the passing scenery outside the window.
"I-I don't know if I can go through with what they'll ask of me," her voice trembled as she spoke, though she held back her tears.
Delfin's heavy sigh was audible. "That's for you to decide," he offered, giving her a meaningful look as their eyes met.
"What do you mean?" Lara inquired.
He simply shrugged. "Did you know that the police apprehended the three men who sold you here? Your father reported it right away," he shared, his gaze still fixed on her.
She remained silent thereafter. The truth was she wasn't quite sure what Delfin was implying, but she had plans to escape after this ordeal anyway. Even though Nati, her manager, warned her that there was no place to hide, she refused to believe it.
"HEY, dude? What took you so long? We're getting bored here!" a familiar voice emanated from inside the box Lara was in.
Recognizing the voice as that of the man who had paid Nati a substantial sum, Lara's eyes welled with tears. It was hard to believe she was in this situation.
In truth, she didn't even recognize herself anymore. She felt numb, as if in a state of shock, unable to speak or protest.
"Alright, hurry up! I'm sure you'll love my gift to you!" the man added, his voice filled with excitement.
Moments later, Lara was taken aback as the top of the box suddenly lifted. Instinctively, she flinched and clutched her own arms.
"Miss, are you serious with that outfit? Don't you have something sexier to wear?" he asked, his tone suggesting he was wealthy and educated. Yet, despite his apparent refinement, anger surged within Lara.
He was referring to the modern professional attire she was dressed in – a coat and tie.
Nati had actually suggested she wear something sexier, the typical attire women in her position wore. However, Lara's stomach couldn't handle it, leading Nati to say, "I think that's better, to make it easier to convince him that you're still a virgin. From the look of it, I know he's going to get rid of all that one by one."
Lara shook her head, disapproval evident on her face.
"P-Please, just listen to me. This isn't really what I do. Allow me to go home," she pleaded, her voice wavering.
Observing the man's lips curl at the corners, Lara felt a sense of desperation. "Miss," he addressed her, "Venus, right? You know what? That line is quite common. Besides, I paid a substantial amount to your manager, so you simply need to do your job," he asserted, placing the lid back on the box.
His words pierced through Lara, prompting tears to flow freely. She hadn't anticipated any of this, nor did she imagine her first time would be under such circumstances.
The man's gaze grew intense as he spoke to her. "How are you planning to reimburse me? Will you pay me back---" He was cut off by another man, who had just entered the scene.
"That's enough. Can't you see she's terrified?" the newcomer scolded his friend.
"She's getting on my nerves!" the friend retorted. "So, are you still a virgin?" he suddenly turned his attention to Lara.
Lara's patience snapped, a mix of resentment and anger driving her to slap him across the cheek with her free hand.
"How dare you! Pig! You don't know me, so don't speak to me like that! What do you know about what I've been through, huh? You're an animal!" she unleashed her fury.
As the man raised his hand to strike her, the newcomer intervened. "That's enough. I'll talk to her," he said, protecting her from harm. "Let's go inside, okay? Don't worry, as long as I'm here, you're safe."
Lara's feet moved instinctively as she followed the man's lead, entering a room where he seated her at the edge of a bed and handed her a glass of water.
He nodded, a silent acknowledgment of her gratitude. "Hungry? Do you want to eat?" he asked gently.
Butterflies fluttered in Lara's stomach as she considered his offer. Was it okay to accept anything from him?
"Don't worry, I won't tamper with the food or drink. They're safe," he assured, sensing her hesitation.
Lara remained quiet, her gaze fixed on the man. She watched as he left the room, only to return with food and a beverage placed on a small table.
"Go ahead, eat. I'll leave you alone for now. Remember, you're safe as long as I'm around," he assured her with a reassuring tone.
Once he left, Lara stared at the meal before her, her stomach growling in response. She hadn't eaten since earlier, and her hunger was undeniable. Maybe she could eat this without falling into a deep sleep. She couldn't help but hope that this man might be her savior, her knight in shining armor sent to rescue her.
Other than her father, he might be the kindest man she'd ever met.
"Good morning, sir," the guard greeted Joaquin with a smile at the entrance of the tall building owned by him and his father, Joaquin Antonio, Sr. "Good morning," Joaquin replied, returning the smile. This was a daily routine in his life, starting his mornings in the office and ending them here. "Good morning, sir," Alma, his father's former secretary, greeted him. He now occupied the fifth floor, where his office was located. The Antonio Paper Corporation was the largest paper company in the Philippines. They distributed well-known imported paper brands as well. But their business wasn't limited to paper production. They also handled major brands of writing materials and art supplies, such as popular watercolors used for painting. This company was his father's legacy, and as the only child, he was obliged at an early age to learn the ins and outs of the business to eventually take over its management. He was only five years old when his mother died in a car accident. His father h
"You're always in such a hurry to go home; maybe once in a while in your very busy life, it wouldn't hurt to unwind," Cynthia commented after turning down Lara's offer to join her cousin's birthday celebration. Lara laughed softly and continued to fix her things. "Maybe it's really like this when you have a child. You're always excited to go home because you want to see your baby right away, who you know is eagerly waiting for you to arrive," she explained to Cynthia. "Oh, Lara Athena, you've been like that even before. It's a good thing I love my goddaughter; I have enough reason not to be angry with you anymore," Cynthia said, following her words with a weak laugh. Lara then approached Cynthia at her table and kissed her on the cheek. "Thanks, I have to go. I still need to buy something for my baby girl." "Okay, see you tomorrow," Cynthia said. Time flies so fast. It seemed like the biggest nightmare of her life had just happened. That was when she was forced and taken by three
From a deep sleep, Lara awoke quickly when she heard the bedroom door open and close. "I'm sorry if I woke you up," it was Joaquin who laughed softly. She just nodded then hugged herself. "Won't you let me leave yet?" Lara asked, glancing at the man sitting on the divan at the foot of the bed. That's when she saw the man glance at his wristwatch. "It's dangerous if I let you go now. If it's okay with you, you can spend the night here," he said kindly, then smiled at her. Lara was speechless at what the man said because he was right. It was late at night, and it would not be nice and safe for a woman like her to go out and travel at such a time. "I-It seems quiet outside?" that was what she commented when she noticed that the noise she had heard outside the room was gone. The man nodded. "Yes, wait, maybe you want to eat again. Do you want me to get you some food? I haven't even been able to celebrate my birthday with you yet," he said in a lively tone with a strange touch of sinc
LARA wasn't sure if it was because it was her first kiss, the taste of the wine in Joaquin's mouth, or the beer she drank, but she quickly felt very intoxicated because of the fury of that kiss. She couldn't say when or how, but she was surprised and seemed to come to her senses when she felt her back against the soft bed. Obviously, the man's kiss affected her so deeply. She didn't even know if he was married or had a girlfriend. But at that very moment, it seemed that everything was not important to her. Lara seemed to want to admit to herself that just like Joaquin had told her a while ago, he could get her in such a way that he didn't have to use force, because she herself would ask for more, for something she knew he could still give. "Joaquin," she whispered as her lips dropped to her neck. "Yes?" he questioned in response to her. "Maybe you're married already, don't do this to me just in case," she said. Lara heard the faint laugh that made its way down the man's throat.
PRESENT DAY... AS the taxi stopped, Lara's journey back to the past was abruptly interrupted. After paying the taxi driver, she quickly got out of the car only to realize that she had forgotten to buy something for her daughter due to the preoccupation of her mind earlier. "Mama!" that small but tender voice was what she heard as she pushed open the gate of their house. "Callie!" her excited response greeted her daughter with a hug and kiss as Callie ran closer to her. "Where is Grand Papa?" she inquired about her father, Rodolfo. "He's inside. Come on, let's eat!" her daughter pulled her hand into the household. "Pa," Lara immediately greeted her father then kissed him on the cheek. "It's good that you're here; your daughter has been waiting for you for a while because, according to her, she's already hungry," her father smiled as he messed up his granddaughter Calista's black hair, or as she chose to call her, by the nickname Callie. Lara just laughed softly at what her father
"GOOD morning, Papa!" Joaquin cheerfully greeted his father that morning. "It's good to see you today. Come on and eat; we have a lot to talk about," he told him. It was a Saturday, and because there was no work in the office, Joaquin woke up later than his usual five o'clock in the morning. "Let me guess, it's about marriage, right?" he asked Joaquin Sr. with a wide smile. That was when his father stared straight into his eyes. "You're not getting any younger, son. Do you think I don't know what you do to women?" He shrugged then started eating breakfast. "Papa, I'm just being generous to them," he joked, winking at the old man. "Get married," Joaquin Sr. replied rather briefly to him. He stared at his father with amusement. "Papa, the way you speak makes it sound like what you're asking me to do is easy," he reasoned. His father nodded. "I know, that's why I want you to marry someone our family has known for a very long time. I know you'll refuse, so I chose the type that I k
"GET MARRIED, give in to your father’s demands. He’s old, and maybe he wants to experience what it feels like to be a grandpa," Patrick, his best friend, advised. Patrick, his classmate since kindergarten, was more than just a close friend; he was Joaquin's pillar of strength and adviser in all matters, especially when it came to women. He considered Patrick more of a brother than a friend, as they were both only children. Patrick had been there through all of Joaquin's relationships, providing guidance and support. "It seems like what you’re saying is so easy. How about you? When is your plan with Tanya?" With that question, Patrick just shrugged his shoulders before taking his cup of coffee and drinking. As Joaquin said earlier, he chose to go to the office since he had nothing to do at home. He also had to admit that his father’s repeated reminders about marriage were the reason why he decided to avoid him. Joaquin sighed sadly at the thought. Despite his great love for his fa
"NO, there's no need, I'm good," Lara assured then lowered her spoon to the plate and reached for the glass of water to drink. "I'm okay, it's not your obligation so you don't have to be sorry," she said with a smile. It was only a matter of time before she finished talking so she had the opportunity to continue eating lunch."Let me guess, it's Ramil and he's sorry because he can't pick you up. Is that right?" Cynthia asked as they ate together in the admin's pantry of their outlet branch.Lara nodded with a sigh. "I'm getting tired. I can't help but feel guilty sometimes because he's so nice," she said telling the truth."How I wish I could do something, sadly the only thing I know and it's very obvious is that the attraction that he feels for you is really strong so he is determined to make you fall in love," said Cynthia. "Wait let me ask you this, have you ever been in love in your life?"With that question, Lara laughed softly.
"Are you nervous?" That's what Lara asked her husband Joaquin after she fixed his tie. Joaquin sighed and then looked at her lovingly. "Mom, Dad, let's go?" Quin was the youngest of their two sons. "Okay, son," Lara said then looked up at her husband's handsome face again. "Come on and your daughter might think that you don't want to walk her to the altar," she joked to her husband who didn't even answer as she could see the still slightly sad on his face. It was the wedding day of their oldest daughter, Callie. She understands her husband's feelings because Callie is their only daughter. In over twenty years they have been blessed with two sons. Caleb and the youngest, Joaquin Antoni III, who looks just like his grandfather, Joaquin Sr. After the incident at the beach resort, just like Joaquin said, he fixed everything. Everyone who deserves to be punished has been punished. Robert and Selena were there, even the middleman Boying who really set the cottage on fire. Cortez wh
"WOW, Daddy it's so beautiful here!"That's what Callie said cheerfully then ran towards their family's private cottage."We can stay at the beach house, it's just that it's farther from the beach," Joaquin told her then picked up Callie who had tripped several times on the sand because of her running."It's okay here at least until tomorrow. Then the next day we'll stay at the beach house," Lara answered then headed towards their cottage."By the way, where is Nanny Loring?" Lara asked after she opened the cottage door."Already at home preparing food. Wait, where do you want to eat, baby? Here or there in the beach house?” Joaquin asked his daughter."Here," Callie replied.Lara laughed at her daughter's reaction. "Oh, put your daughter down. She's a big girl so she shouldn't be carried around anymore," Lara said to Joaquin."Even if the day came that she gets married, she is still my princess," said Joaquin kissing his daughter.Callie giggled at that and then willingly let her fat
"WHY is that, Robert? Why is your man so slow? Why does that girl still look happy now?" Selena asked Robert angrily the night they met to talk about the favor she was asking for."I also do not know. And one more thing, why are you so eager to take revenge? The woman is already married, isn't she? Maybe you're just being mistaken in your suspicions?" said Robert to her. That's when Selena dropped the wine glass she was holding on the table in annoyance. "You are so annoying. Why don't you just do what I say? I have to get revenge on that girl. I have to get Ramil back!” she insisted."Stop it! You must learn how to wait and don't yell at me!” Robert yells back at her.At that point, Selena sat down and bowed her head crying. She stopped herself from crying, but because of the effect of the alcohol she had already consumed, she failed to do so."Why is it that no man wants to love me?" she said sobbing. At that point, Robert told sat next to her and then hugged her tightly. “I love yo
Lara did not expect Joaquin to refer to their original destination as his home in Baguio. The house where they spent their honeymoon. “Ah so, you really plan to take me here? Why?” she asked smiling and then eagerly traveled her sight to the whole house. Joaquin shrugged his shoulders and then lowered the suitcases he was carrying. "Because when we first came here, I didn't tell you the truth, didn't we?" he replied then hugged her tightly from behind. Lara was thrilled with that gesture so she turned to face her husband. After that, she lovingly wrapped her arms around his neck. "Yes. And also, I can still remember what you told me before. That you wish you can give me everything I want?” “Yeah. I told you that because I can't really give you everything since you know something different. Just in case I don't want you to be surprised where I get it all.” Lara nodded and with her eyes glistening that was when she pinched Joaquin’s perfect nose. “You don't know how much I love
Joaquin was able to possess her easily without leaving that place. And she could say that her calm husband whom she was always with whenever the fight between the two of them was just starting, no longer existed those moments. But what right does she have to complain if she asked for it from her husband?"You want this, don't you, huh?" he asked her as he pounded her sex hard and with full force.Lara could hardly breathe properly at that moment. But she is the one who likes it so she knows the same as what Joaquin told her before. She needs to face the consequences of her actions. So that's what she did today. She endures the delicious effects of Joaquin's cruel claim of her."Yes, oh I want this. I want you," she said, clinging tightly to Joaquin's neck and then kissing her husband firmly on the lips.Joaquin quickly responded to her with a passionate kiss then he just continued that style of claiming her. Until he seemed tired and pulled out from inside her his angry readiness.Joa
Her husband's silence at that moment was strange for Lara. And because he said it was a surprise where they were going, she didn't ask anymore. But that was just what surprised her when Joaquin took her to a familiar building. That's why her chest quickly swelled. She remembers that building. It was the hotel where she first gave herself to her husband a few years ago. She couldn't understand and explain how hard her chest was pounding at that moment. But despite everything, she still remained calm and did not ask any questions. Despite the fact that he really wanted to know from her husband what was really going on and why they were there. When they got out of the car, only then did Joaquin speak."Our destination is not really here, sweetheart. We have something important to do, so let's stop by," he told her as they walked towards the reception.Lara didn't come closer and let her husband talk to the receptionist. That's why she didn't hear anything else they talked about. It may h
It was as if a snake had bitten Lara from where she was standing as she stared at the new arrival. She can't be wrong. She knows and is sure that this is the man who took her from Nati to give her to Joaquin. Lara quickly felt an intense chill throughout her body because of that thought. If he recognized her, Joaquin will surely know her secret. It is not impossible for that to happen. Her husband is so smart that he will definitely be able to sew all the events together, especially Callie's great resemblance to him and even more than his late mother. "I'm sorry if I disturbed you," said Patrick who at that moment was staring at her. "It's okay buddy. Come on in and have a seat," said Joaquin to his friend. Patrick immediately obeyed what her husband said. Just a few moments after that, Joaquin formally introduced her to him. "Do you want to eat lunch with us?" Joaquin asked Patrick a few minutes ago since he arrived. That's when Patrick glanced at her and then looked back at Jo
That's exactly what Lara did. She kept staring at Joaquin while his hand and fingers ravage the jewel between her thighs. She put her two hands on her back to prevent herself from lying down. While Joaquin was doing that, she was able to shift her gaze from his eyes to her sex which didn't seem to show even simple forgiveness. "God, it's good! So good! Oooohhhh," Lara muttered as she watched Joaquin once again run his tongue over her delicacy. That's when Joaquin raised his head. And because she got what he meant she quickly bowed to her. And that's when their lips met again. That kiss was only for a moment because Joaquin once again returned to her femininity that his tongue began to pass over. When he seems to be tired of what he does, he then sucks it up like he is eating a snail in coconut milk. "So soft, so delicate," he said afterward. A few moments later, Joaquin finally finished what seemed to be the initial greeting using that method. Because the events that followed we
“OH Lara.”While Lara is busy wooing Joaquin's manhood with her mouth. She kept hearing her husband's seemingly endless mention of her name. Something that she can't deny that she really likes. She knew what Joaquin was feeling at that moment. Because the same thing happens to her whenever she is in this situation. So, what the concentration of her husband was, she did the same. For a few moments, they were both like that. She works because she wants to please Joaquin. Well, she had to admit that her goal was to show that she was learning from him."Oh fuck!" when she probably couldn't stand it anymore, Joaquin pulled her hand, and then he pulled her up. "I'm sorry sweetheart but I need you now," he said kissing her lips afterward. In a quick way. Even though she said she was on top of him, Joaquin was able to unite their bodies. And Lara was in such a state when she felt his steel-like manhood gradually entering her tunnel.“Sonofabitch!” Joaquin cursed again then he shocked her by p
