49. The Royal Wedding 3

On the other hand, Irene was able to recognize her. She had returned to her parents a few days after fighting with the Spellcaster, and was coincidentally at the court premises. Her father was unhappy with her because, she wished to strain the cordial relationship that he enjoyed with King Raphael Churchill VII. He asked her to get her husband back, or prepare to be disowned. Meanwhile, it was a slap in the King's face that his daughter was the first to be divorced in the lineage of the Churchill.

In the meantime, the Registrar had given her an appointment for noon that day. He expected that he would be free after the second marriage, until the King upturned their plans. As planned, she was in the court. To her surprise, she saw a familiar procession, and heard a familiar tune. It was the same procession that brought the Prince to the court fifteen years ago when they got married.

“What is going on? Is the Prince giving our daughter out for marriage?” She asked herself in astonishment
