CHAPTER FIVE

It had been days after the party, Chloe was no where to be found, the school was in an uproar. The aftermath of the party wasn't looking promising as the students were being punished for the excessive use 

of alcohol (at least that was the excuse given but we all know that chole is just a bitch that wanted everybody to pay for making her cry). 

The best punishment Chloe could think of was to make everybody take a test because even she knew that nobody wants to take a test a week before an 

examination and what's more is that the test will make up half their grades. Things weren't looking great for cami or Theo. They were not the most academic forward students.Chloe finally made an appearance in school and the first person she had an 

encounter with was Theo. 

"Chloe wait up, I'm sorry" Theo chased after her but she didn't give him the time of the day as she walked directly into the girl's bathroom. 

*Theo sighs* 

"I told you not to mess with her and u didn't listen.Now we are taking a test that's half our grade. Well played Theo" leo scolded just as he approached Theo who was leaning on a wall beside the bathroom door.

"Why are you complaining, taking a test has never been a problem for you. You are genius" Theo rolls his eyes at his brother.

"Yh taking a test isn't difficult, but that doesn't mean that I like taking a test before a major exam. You really fucked up this time, you are lucky that these students are oblivious to the fact that you caused this"

"Wait a minute, you know who Chloe is?"

"Obviously, you are not the best at keeping secrets"

"When did you find out?" 

"The same day you did. You know if we keep hovering around the girls bathroom people are going to think that we are perverts, let's just leave her alone. The best thing you can do now is study" 

The two boys walked away as Theo nodded in agreement. At least one of them was smart enough to know that Chloe will never change her mind or go back on a decision. NEVER.

It had been days and the test was still ongoing. Camilla tried so hard to talk to Chloe but all she got was the cold shoulder. Chloe's attitude was enough for a person to give up but Cami knew that losing Chloe will be a mistake and that she was at fault. She needed to fix things, she needed to make it right but how? 

After the tests came the final examinations and Chloe still hadn't forgotten about everything. She threw herself into different activities and also her business. For some reason even her nanny couldn't make her aware that it's normal to get upset with people and it's also normal to forgive but she forgot that Chloe wasn't normal. 

A week later, it's was Chloe's 16th birthday and also the final day of the examination. Her sweet 16, a day every girl dreams of, every girl but Chloe. She wrote her econ exam that day and went home. Just like 

that the school year was over.

(In Chloe's lavish home) 

"Baby, do u really not want to have a party? I can invite your friends over and get cake and..." 

"Let me stop you right there nanny, first I don't have friends, second you know I hate this day and cake?what a joke" Chloe covered her body with her sheets.

"You can't keep putting your special day aside because of one incident that happened 14 years ago. You have to let it go. I'm sure they would want you to" 

Sandra was talking about the death of her boss, that day was also Chloe's special day and she hated it. She hated it so much that she cut off everything celebration from her life. Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, you name it... To her the only thing worth celebrating was a business deal. 

Sandra felt so bad that the little girl she was left with had so much hatred and anger in her and she had no way of helping her. She was suddenly awoken from her daze by the door bell.

"I'll get that" she gave Chloe a peck on her head and stood up.

On reaching the door a tall handsome figure was standing there with flowers in his hand. Sandra looked at him confused.

 "The security men let me in" 

"Did they now!" She gave a faint smile and rose her left eyebrow gesturing for him to state his business. 

"I'm looking for Chloe" 

"How did you find this place?" Sandra asked

"Chloe told me about it" 

"She did what now?" Sandra was so confused, Chloe would never tell anyone where she lived, never. Sandra's guard was suddenly raised up. 

"I'm William Channing, a friend of Chloe'' 

Fuck it was William, what was he doing here, wait a sec why isn't Sandra letting him in? 

"Oh my God, Mr Channing, come on in" of course Sandra knew she couldn't keep an important figure standing in her front door.

"So um is she in?" William asked while looking around the lavish living room that had a stair way in the middle. 

"Yes she's in, I'll get her down in a minute, can I get you anything while we have a little chat" Sandra couldn't just let William see Chloe, not without drilling him first.

"I will go get her now"Sandra stood up and headed for Chloe's bedroom.

"Someone is here to see to baby"Sandra smiled

"I don't want to see anybody" 

"Oh I'm sure you would want to see this one, it's William Channing."

Chloe jumped out of her bed 

"What is he doing here?"Chloe's eyes were suddenly wide awake. 

"He brought you flowers" 

"I hate flowers" 

"No you don't, do you want to see him or should I tell him to leave?" 

"I'll be right down" 

"Ok" Sandra left Chloe's room and returned to William. 

A little while later,a voice was heard coming down the stairs 

"What the fuck are you doing here?" 

"Chloe, language" Sandra warned 

"It's nice to see you too" William smiled 

"Sandra do you mind giving us a little privacy?"Chloe requested as she could see that Sandra wasn't ready to leave any time soon. 

"Of course" and like that Sandra left the room.

"Again, what the fuck are you doing in my house?"
