Lyanna’s POV

The air smelled of blood and herbs. A sharp contrast, one that always made my stomach tighten. I dipped the cloth into the basin of warm water, squeezing it before pressing it against Rowan’s wounded side. He winced but said nothing, his jaw clenched in quiet suffering.

“You should have been more careful,” I muttered, dabbing at the gash along his ribs. “This could have been worse.”

Rowan let out a short, humorless chuckle. “ I was but you of all people know the shadowborn are of no match for us.”

I stilled for a moment before continuing my work. I thought of Elara. The name had been forbidden in our halls since he sent her away. But now, spoken in his voice, it felt heavier.

The power of the moon is inside Elara. She alone can help.

“ They would’ve had my head for this,” Rowan admitted, watching me with tired eyes.

“ They should have,” I replied without looking at him.

A silence settled between us, filled only by the distant crackling of the fire. I could feel his gaze o

The tension in Kael’s frame eased, and for the first time in what felt like forever, I saw a glimmer of peace in his eyes."We should stay here," he murmured, his voice low enough that only I could hear.I turned to him, searching his expression. "You really think it’s safe?"His lips curled slightly. "Safer than anywhere else right now."I exhaled, glancing ar

Kael’s POVThe moments we spent together were beautiful.I enjoyed every second.Even if this is temporary, I want it to be real.Life in the village was peaceful, almost too peaceful. It felt like a dream, one I never wanted to wake up from.Elara and I had fallen into a rhythm here. Mornings were spent training the men, afternoons helping the village with whatever needed to be done, and evenings were ours, walking by the river, sitting beneath the stars, and pretending that the world outside these borders didn’t exist. For the first time in my life, I wasn’t just a warrior. I wasn’t just a werewolf carrying the weight of war on my shoulders.I was living. And it was all because of her.The sun was setting when I found Elara by the riverbank, her feet bare as she stood in the cool water. She had her back to me, the golden light catching in her dark hair, making her look like something out of a story.I leaned against a tree, watching her, memorizing her."You’re staring," she murmur

  • ELARA; THE LUNAR ALPHA    A Promise Sealed

Kael's POV Days passed, and life in the village continued to feel like a dream. We had become something of a spectacle.Wherever we went, people greeted us warmly, their eyes filled with admiration. The women giggled when they saw Elara and me together, whispering behind their hands. The men clapped me on the back, teasing me about how I was tied down now.“They think we’re the perfect couple,” Elara muttered one evening as we walked through the market.I smirked. “Maybe because we are.”She rolled her eyes. “They don’t even know us.”I shrugged. “They know enough. And they’re right, by the way.”She shot me a playful glare, but I could see the small smile tugging at her lips. The truth was, we had settled into this village as if we had always belonged. I trained the men, teaching them how to defend themselves against potential threats, and Elara helped the women with healing and gathering supplies. We weren’t warriors here. We weren’t fugitives or leaders or anything other than us.

Elara's POV The celebration had been nothing short of magical. Our union was something I would never have imagined.Every moment of our wedding was etched into my mind, the warmth of the villagers, the joy in Kael’s eyes, and the way my heart swelled when we planted our tree together. It was as if the universe itself had blessed our union, whispering promises of love and eternity in the rustling leaves and flowing river. But as the festivities came to an end, unknown to us another surprise awaited us.The villagers, in their boundless kindness, had arranged a special place for our honeymoon. A secluded cabin sat nestled at the edge of the forest, surrounded by ancient trees and kissed by the glow of the setting sun. I gasped when I first saw it.The cabin had been transformed. • ELARA; THE LUNAR ALPHA    Always Evil

Raven's POV The night was eerily silent. The kind of silence that felt unnatural, pressing against my senses like a weight I couldn't shake off.I stood at the edge of the lake, the water reflecting the moonlight in broken, shimmering fragments. Elara’s POVThe morning light spilled through the wooden shutters of our cottage, casting warm golden streaks across the room. I shifted slightly, feeling the weight of Kael’s arm draped over my waist, his steady breathing brushing against the back of my neck. The scent of pinewood and earth clung to his skin, a reminder of the life we had built here—peaceful, unhurried, and filled with the warmth of belonging.I smiled to myself, my fingers lightly tracing the ridges of his hand. A month had passed since our wedding, and every day still felt like a dream. The chaos of our past, the battles we had fought, the burdens we once carried—they all seemed like distant echoes. Here, we weren’t warriors. We weren’t fugitives. We were just Kael and Elara. Husband and wife.I turned slightly, just enough to see his face, relaxed in sleep. He looked younger this way, the usual sharpness in his expression softened by rest. I brushed my lips against his forehead before slipping out of bed quietly.

The moment I sensed it—felt the severance of my connection to the Shadowborn—I knew.Elara had escaped.A single word echoed in my mind, ringing like a war drum.Unacceptable.My fingers clenched around the arms of my throne, dark power crackling through my veins. It has turned into dangerous places in the realm, and it was where Raven had taken Lyanna. She was trapped there, locked away in a prison built for those who dared to defy him.We couldn’t leave her behind.Sitting by the dim fire in our temporary hideout, Kael and I studied the map spread between us, the lines and markings glowing faintly under the flickering flame.
