74. "The Reason For Lying"

Victoria was seated in the interrogation room once again. She had been through this before. She remembered the last time she was here, being questioned about the incident with Zoe. This time, she wasn't afraid at all.

The investigator called her name, "Miss Victoria Red."

She raised her head and met the gaze of the person who had brought her in.

"You had a troubled history with Samuel, and you were the last person he spoke to before he died. Can you tell us about your last conversation with him? What did he say to you?"

Victoria paused for a moment before responding.

"I honestly didn't know it was Samuel. His number wasn't saved in my phone. When I picked up, there was silence, so I assumed it was a prank call. I didn't think much of it," she explained.
