Zoe watched her father get killed in front of her. She barely escaped execution and refused to allow her baby to suffer in the hands of demons.

Before the destruction of her and her fated's destiny their lives were normal. Apart from the fact her husband family has a generational curse, target on their backs. But Alejandro is not the first born child hence forth they were happy to start their new lives early.
