Cameron is eager to break Bella in to submission. That's why he decided to throw her in the basement.

He is hoping with lack of nourishment, her new found powers would become weak. That would allow him to do what ever he wished with her.

He is spying on her through a camera which is placed in the basement. She is sleeping on the ground in fetal position.

"This time it might take you more than a week to submit to me Bella. But you will surely submit to me. I will make sure you do" Cameron thought with a sly smile.

In the basement, Bella is feeling helpless and bitter. She cannot move her body even an inch. Her mouth is as dry as a desert. Her stomach is aching badly with lack of food and water.

'What have I ever done to deserve this fate? Why did he choose to torment me? How long can I take this torture from him. Isn't death a better option than this?' she thought bitterly.
