Chapter 10: Secret Document

Astrid ran quickly to find the origin of Draco's voice. Her steps sounded quite loud for a library, but she ignored them. Fortunately, the librarian was quite a distance from Astrid's current location, and there were no other visitors around. Astrid saw Draco's hand waving from a secret gap that was slowly closing between the bookshelves. She slipped in just as the door to the secret room closed.

The small room became completely dark without a sound. The room was soundproofed so that Astrid could even hear the sound of her own breathing. She tried to grope through the darkness and look for a lamp switch or oil lamp on the wall. Astrid found something sticking out of her hand, and she tried to squeeze it, then jabbed her finger.

"Ouch! Who has poked my nostrils? It hurts, you know!" shouted Draco.

"Ugh!" cried Astrid in surprise as she pulled her fingertips from Draco's nose.
