Song Shuang's mind was all over the place.

When she walked to the fountain square, she saw a little girl in a beautiful dress selling roses from a basket.

"Do you want to give flowers to some handsome guys, miss?"

The little girl wearing a cute hat walked to her and asked her with her eyes shining.

Gu Baisheng found that she was a chubby girl who was about 7 or 8 years old. So she took out the money from her purse to buy one flower.

But suddenly she remembered that her mother always told her that good things came in pairs, so she bought one more flower.

She held the two roses and sniffed them. The fragrance made her feel happier.

She kept walking with the two roses.

She walked out of her neighborhood and walked along the busy street to the night market.

The regulation of the night markets in Beicheng was strict.

The night market was not near her place, but she didn't feel it was a long walk.

When she just arrived at the night market, she saw Qu Xiaobo and Zhang Kai were arguing from a distance.

"I told you to book a table at that restaurant! Why can't you just listen to me?"

He put his phone back into his pocket and closed his eyes to calm down.

He then turned around and walked out with his car key.

When Gu Baisheng just sat down at a food stall, Qu Xiaobo and Zhang Kai sat across the table. They almost surrounded her.

The owner of the food stall came to ask them, "What do you want to eat?"

"Mutton shashlik with more paprika." Zhang Kai shouted at the noisy food stall.

"Cray! Spicy cray!" Qu Xiaobo ordered right after him.

After they finished ordering, the owner looked at Gu Baisheng eagerly, "What about you, miss?"

Gu Baisheng thought for a while and said, "I want river snails rice noodles."

"River snails rice noodles?" Qu Xiaobo frowned and said to the owner, "Two bottles of beer. Hurry up! And a big plate of cray. Two hundred mutton shashliks!"

"No problem! Right away!"

The owner smiled like a fortune cat and went to work.

When Gu Baisheng heard that Qu Xiaobo and Zhang Kai said to have two bottles of beer, she thought they were planning something.

She knew Qu Xiaobo since they were babies.

Frankly speaking, she could tell what Qu Xiaobo would say when her lips moved.

Now Qu Xiaobo ordered two bottles of beer, which meant that she planned to get her drunk.

So she sat down confidently.

The food and beer were served really quickly.

The cray was way too spicy. Although Zhang Kai didn't manage to book a table for Qu Xiaobo at a Western restaurant on Christmas Eve,

he had to please Qu Xiaobo by eating the unseasonal food at the food stall.

Qu Xiaobo liked cray, so Zhang Kai helped her to peel the cray.

After peeling it, he passed the food to Qu Xiaobo, "My dear, please eat it."

Gu Baisheng was enjoying the food and beer while looking at them displaying affection in public.

Qu Xiaobo was in a better mood after eating the cray Zhang Kai peeled for her.

She then looked at Gu Baisheng, "Why do you walk out at night alone?"

Gu Baisheng sipped at her beer and told her honestly, "I was alone at home, so I want to see how busy the city is."

"Song Shuang is not home?"

"He went back to his parents' house."

Qu Xiaobo ate too much cray and drank two bottles of beer.

She was not drunk enough to talk nonsense.

Zhang Kai knew what she had gone through lately. He knew that she would howl when she thought about Gu Baisheng's death, so he put down the cray in his hand and tried to comfort her, "Alright, Bobo. Forget about that sad thing on such a joyful day!"
