Chapter 26 Stalked by Ex-boyfriend

Even though Gu Baisheng was still confused, seeing the family of the wounded getting on the ambulance, she stopped paying more attention to this.

After the ambulance left, she picked up the fresh and red tomatoes that rolled onto the ground and put them back in the bag.

She carried the bag back to her unit.

There were people talking about her and pointing her along the way.

A person who lived in the same unit even talked to her before getting on the elevator, "You're so brave."

The compliment came from a beautiful girl with an accent. Hearing it, Gu Baisheng smiled, "I'm a bit scared too, but that person was hurt."

"Are you a doctor?"

Looking at the pretty girl in front of her, Gu Baisheng nodded, "Yes."

She is a surgeon with nearly a decade of experience.

It wasn't a lie telling her she was a doctor.

Besides, Bai Shengsheng was also an intern.

So it was correct.

The girl smiled coyly with respect. She walked into the elevator with Gu Baisheng. After thinking for a while, she cautiously reminded her, "Um..."

"My last name is Gu."

Gu Baisheng introduced herself subconsciously.

That girl smiled, "Dr. Gu, I'm Nan. I want to remind you that the pit bull called Endi is quite ferocious. You must go around next time you meet him."

Gu Baisheng wanted to correct herself after telling Nan that her last name was Gu as she realized she made a mistake.

But then what Nan said attracted her attention.

So she didn't correct herself and asked Nan directly, "Why?"

Nan looked a bit scared. She said quietly, "That dog is quite vindictive."

After she said that, the elevator opened with a ding.

Nan reached the seventeenth floor. She said with a smile, "That's me. I'm heading home. See you next time."

Gu Baisheng nodded. She was embarrassed to ask her more questions, so she pushed the close button on the elevator.

She then watched the elevator going up dazedly while thinking about what vindictive meant.

Before she could figure it out,

the elevator arrived on her floor.

The door opened. She carried two big plastic bags out.

She then put the bag in her right hand on the floor and reached into the pocket of her down jacket for the key.

After she found the key, she stuck it in the lock.

Then she opened the door and put one bag in the room.

She carried the other bag into the room and tried to turn back to close the door.

But while she was closing the door, a hand stuck out.

The hand clenched the door and opened it suddenly.

Gu Baisheng was startled. She opened her eyes wide and looked at the person standing there.

It was a young man with a face full of fury, looking twenty-three or twenty-four years old, with smoky makeup on his face. There wasn't a piece of clean skin on his face.

He dyed his hair yellow. Because he didn't trim them very often, new hair grew and mixed up with the yellow ones, making him look like a feather duster.

He was also wearing a gold necklace and buddha amulet.

His wrist was full of tattoos. He may have a tattoo arm.

He looked like he was a gangster. He had that vibe.

Gu Baisheng's mouth twitched. Her look was complicated. She thought she had either met a burglar or a rapist.

She didn't know how to deal with it.

While she was staring at him with fear,

the young man took over the bag in her hand. The fury on his face disappeared. As if entering his own home, he carried the bag in, "Honey, why didn't you tell me you moved?"

Honey?

Gu Baisheng's mouth twitched.

She couldn't accept it.

But after that man came in carrying the bag, he started looking around, checking every room in the house,

as if walking around his own home. While doing so, he said rascally, "I heard that Mr. Bai is in jail."

Gu Baisheng looked at him. She didn't know what he was doing, so she carefully and indifferently responded with a single tone.

"I heard a reckless bi**h reported him."

He spoke again.

Gu Baisheng didn't answer him.

She already searched out who this person was from the memory of poor Bai Shengsheng.

This was Bai Shengsheng's ex-boyfriend, Ning Xia, for whom she tried to commit suicide by taking pills.

For this feather duster-like man, Bai Shengsheng's best friend betrayed her. They fell out because of him and ended their eighteen years of friendship.

The more Gu Baisheng looked at him, the more she felt unworthy of Bai Shengsheng's best friend.

Was it worth betraying your best friend who grew up playing in the mud together in crotch pants for such a man?

In her opinion, it was not.

Thus, she hated Bai Shengsheng's best friend and this duster.

He finished checking the bedroom and went to the kitchen. Opening the fridge in the kitchen, he found nothing, so he was a bit disappointed.

Walking over, he pushed Gu Baisheng onto the wall in a way he thought was handsome. He put one arm next to her head and looked at her affectionately, "I heard from Mr. Bai that you married someone in haste?"

Gu Baisheng nodded.

He shook his head, "Did you forget me so quickly?"

Gu Baisheng's mouth twitched, "Aren't you with Anan?"

Anan was Bai Shengsheng's best friend who betrayed her.

They were perfect for each other. A b*tch and a jerk.

But clearly, they didn't work out.

Otherwise, the jerk wouldn't come back for her.

"I regretted it. You're the one I like, Shengsheng."

Gu Baisheng looked at his smoky makeup and smelt the smell of tobacco in his mouth. She turned her face with disgust, "I'm married. Please stop harassing me."

"But I love you."

Gu Baisheng was speechless, "Do you understand that I'm married?"

"If you do, please leave. Otherwise, I'm calling the police." She thought.

"I do." Ning Xia sighed with a hint of regret and sadness that he missed her. But then, in the next second, he continued as if he just thought something through, "But I don't care. I still love you."

Gu Baisheng sighed.

He was annoying.

How come he couldn't understand human words?

"I don't love you anymore."

Gu Baisheng didn't want to talk with him. She got out from under his arm and walked to the foyer. She opened the door and pointed outside, "Please leave."

"Is your husband coming back?"

Ning Xia looked outside skeptically.

Seeing no one was there, he grabbed her hand that was placed on the doorknob. His tone and look all got flirty, "Shengsheng, don't be mad at me. I know you married your husband because you're so angry about Anan and me betraying you."

Gu Baisheng took her hand back coldly. She was so impatient, "You're thinking too much."

How good did he feel about himself?

Even though Gu Baisheng was really indifferent, Ning Xia still thought she loved him to death, "I know you committed suicide for me. So, even though you're married now, I'm still willing to be with you."

What?

Really?

Gu Baisheng stared at Ning Xia with amazement.

Ning Xia looked at her affectionately with his smoky eyes, "I know you're just angry with me. That's why you married in haste. It's too much to ask you to divorce now, but why don't we see each other in secret?"

Gu Baisheng's eyes twitched, "What do you mean?"

"It means that I..."

Ning Xia touched her lips and pushed her by the shoe cabinet in the foyer. He approached her lips inch by inch and said enchantingly, "I'm willing to cheat..."

Before he could finish the sentence, Gu Baisheng took a white china vase from aside and smashed it on Ning Xia's head.

That all happened very fast.

Ning Xia didn't have time to respond.

Looking at him fleeing in panic, Gu Baisheng was dazed.

Why didn't such a gangster-like man hit her back?

She opened the door confusedly and saw her former best friend Anan walking out of the elevator. She bumped right into Ning Xia whose head was cracked and was still bleeding.

She was dazed. Seeing the blood running on Ning Xia's head, she was confused, "What's going on?"

"Shengsheng hates me and wants to kill me!"

Ning Xia shouted.

Anan looked at Gu Baisheng and then her boyfriend.

After two seconds, she reached out and supported Ning Xia. She then kneeled on the ground and cried at Gu Baisheng, "I know you hate us, but you shouldn't kill Ning Xia! It's all my fault. You should come after me. You can kill me. Kill me!"

Anan threw herself over and grabbed Gu Baisheng's hand. She used the pieces of china in Gu Baisheng's hand and tried to poke at her neck.

But she was extremely careful as if fearing that she might actually poke herself.

Gu Baisheng felt something was strange.

But she couldn't tell.

Then the elevator opened, and five guards rushed out.

Gu Baisheng finally realized that she was set up.

Anan suddenly changed her speech. She went over to the guards and cried for help, "Help! Save me! Bai Shengsheng wants to kill us! She wants to kill us!"

Gu Baisheng's mouth twitched.

Meeting the serious look of the guards, she thought she could never clear her name now.
