Chapter 99

It was already 12:30 when Din arrived at the entrance to Williams' bar. Jessie had recently gone to the record label to sing, and he had just dropped her off at home. He had enticed her to kiss him two nights prior, and he felt bad about it because he could see Jessie's expression when he pulled away and lied about the cord.

Din got out of his car and entered William's pub. He waved and came over to Williams when he saw his friend in front of the bartender. "I had no idea you would be here," he said.

Din received a drink that Williams had just ordered. "You didn't notify me that you were coming, so…"

Williams paid close attention to Din as he took a seat.

"What? Is there something on my face?" When Din realized the long stare was continuing, he asked.

"No. I'm just relieved that everything is over and that you are here. We haven't met in this way recently. How is your wife doing?"
