"I'll be out of the hospital tomorrow." After finishing his last bite of food, Din told Sierra. "The doctor said I'm fine and can return to work." He added.

Sierra's thoughts weren't really on her brother, and when he raised his head to look at her, he noticed her slender nod and realized she was instead thinking about Jessie. He reached out and put his hand on hers, and when she looked up at him, he nodded at her to let her know he knew what she was thinking.

As for Jessie's expected wake-up time, he had thought of that. That morning, the doctor had assured them that she would soon awaken, and Din had clung to that belief. He sincerely hopes he doesn't lose her. He still hasn't expressed to her his true feelings for her or his regret over how he treated her in the past.

"I'll help you throw this in the trash and get you a new bottle of water," she said. Sierra let go of her brother's hand and got out of her chair. She retrieved the disposable plate from his lap before turning towa
