Heather jolted. Only then did she realize she was still clinging to Tyrone. She hurriedly released him. She lowered her head and said, "I'm sorry, Mr. Elkin. I didn't mean to barge in here earlier. I'm sorry for disturbing you. I'll go now."

With that, she stood up to leave.

She sucked up to him when she wanted to use him as a shield. Now that she was done using him, she apologized politely before leaving. Didn't that make him seem like such a pushover?

Tyrone narrowed his eyes and asked coldly, "Didn't you say you were here for me?"

Heather stopped. What did he mean by that?

He looked into her guileless eyes. "Whoring yourself out again?"

The room was quiet, so his voice rang out clearly. His words were so brutal that Heather felt embarrassed. "No. I was working when he came over to harass me."
