In the evening, Heather ventured away to find some fruits to fill up their belly.

"Is this really edible? I don't want any. Find me something else."

Even when Greg had fallen into hard times, he was still expecting the same privilege as before.

Greg looked at the red fruit with its gnarly skin in disdain. He didn't even want to touch it, as if it would make his hand dirty by just touching it.

"I'll prepare a feast then?"

In other words, Heather was trying to tell him that they were already lucky that she could find some fruits despite where they were.

Heather was also getting annoyed. She didn't care if Greg was going to eat it and she simply tossed two of the fruits to him, while she took the other four and walked over to a tree nearby.

She sat down and started to eat it.

Greg put the fruits away in disdain before turning to look at Heather. After a while, he asked, "How did you know there are flash floods here?"
