Chase passed his phone to Heather, and she typed in a string of numbers.

Her call was picked up very quickly, and Tyrone's bitter voice came from the other end of the line. "Who is it?"

Heather's fingers tightened around the phone. "Mr. Elkin—"

"So you still know how to call me? Where did you go?" Tyrone's furious roar cut Heather off after she had only muttered two words.

"How dare you run away when I was asleep, Heather? Do you really think I won't do anything to you? I'll give you ten minutes, or—"

It had been almost ten hours since Heather had left the hospital to see Macey, and her phone had been unreachable.

Tyrone had thought that she had run away. His voice was so loud that it hurt Heather's ear. She could feel his fury even through the phone. Tyrone's angry face and Thomas' bloodied face flashed through her mind alternatingly.
