Chapter 96

"Mrs. Keener, here's your medicine."

I keep wondering what she feels being locked away in here. Does she know where she is at all? I don't visit my mother often because she's  a living, breathing reminder of what happened to me in my childhood. Whenever I see her, it's almost as if I can taste the blood inside my mouth everytime my stepfather slaps or punch me.

The feeling that my hand itch just by staring at my mother, like I want to strangle someone to death. It's like a vile rising up my throat, and I can't force it down. Though I don't have a choice. I can't just forget about my mother. Regardless of what happened in the past, I have to take care of her.
