Chapter 30

Gert brought her the box she buried in the evening. Amara spent all night looking at them. It was all that's left of her old life. Pictures of Amara, her mother, and father, and there are pictures with her stepfather. She buried those things to help her forget the horror of her past. But no matter how hard she tried, the nightmares never go away.

As Amara grew up, she was able to bury those nightmares away. When she started to be an escort girl, she started to lose them. Amara thought being in the company of different men every night is what helped her.

But from time to time, Amara would still have those nightmares. Her stepfather entering her room the moment her mother leave their house. He would ask her to strip naked and sit at the edge of her bed.
