Chapter 54: Alexa, you provoked me!

Alexa's POV

I had been in a daze ever since I saw Ethan being pinned down by Morgan's men. Why was he acting like this? Were the rumors really true? Was he going to kill Ethan? And what was he planning on doing to me? With the speed at which the car was running, I didn't think I'd make it if I attempted to jump out of the car.

One thought and the other popped in and out of my head as I sat in the speeding car. By the time I came to my senses, we had already arrived at his house. I remember this was where we came the last time after he had an allergic reaction.

“Get off,” Morgan growled and stared down at me as if he was going to devour me. I shook my head and refused to bulge, tightly holding on to my seat belt straps. For the first time in my life, I was afraid of Morgan, and being in the same place as him was not bonding well with me.

Morgan bent down, yanked the seatbelt from my hands, unbuckled it, and scooped me up from the car seat as if I were just a piece of paper.
