Chapter 35: Fool

“I miss you too,” I breathed.

“So I'll pick you up at seven,” he said. I could feel the warmth in his voice at my answer.

“No, don't!” I exclaimed, If he comes to pick me up, what am I going to tell Uncle Randy? I could only already feel an upcoming headache at my uncle's speech if he finds out about Morgan and me.

“Why love? I miss you and you miss me; the feeling is mutual, so we have a deal.” He said it cheekily, forgetting the problem at hand.
