Got Lost

This is my fault, is the first thing I think as I watch Gerard in the cell where Rodrick should be. I can't move for several seconds and then I bend down to make sure Gerard is okay.

"He took my uniform and my shoes," he groans as I check that he's not hurt in any way. Apparently, he's just sedated, "Sorry, boss. Louis stayed outside, he didn't come in to back me up. The alpha attacked me when I was going to sedate him and managed to inject me. It was my mistake. I got overconfident, I wasn't careful enough."

"Are you okay?" I ask and when he nods, still looking down in shame, I stand up, "This is bad, Gerard. Very bad. But we’ll talk about it later."

I don't wait for him to answer, I just walk out of the cell to the one on the side. The beta is sitting on his bed and looks at me with interest when he sees me through the window. I hit the button to disable the soundproof system.

"Where is your brother? Where did he go?"

"I don't know," he answers, looking honest, "
