"You did what????" Josie folded her legs under her body, paying keen attention to me.

"Please don't make me repeat myself" I groaned, covering my face with my palm.

I needed to talk to someone about what transpired between Julian and I. I overstepped my boundaries. I broke my rules and I don't feel good about that.

"You were rushing everything at once, I could barely get the main gist." Josie scratched the back of her neck

"Julian and I - Come on, Josie. I'm sure you heard what I said" I deadpanned.

She tried to hold back her laugh as she stared at me, pretending to be serious. "I -" She finally burst into fits of laughter. "Okay, I heard. I heard how you fucked your enemy"

My eyes widened in shock. I could feel my cheek heat up from embarrassment. "We didn't fuck." I corrected, giving her a warning glare.

"But you almost did. I mean, rubbing genitals is basically dry humping! That is sex" Josie smirked at me, rubbing more salt.

"Josephine, shut up" I pinched the bridge of my nose, s

"The chase is over now because I finally got you, Grisella" A firm voice whispered in my ear. Hearing a voice after a long while of being dumped on this cold ground, made me sit up properly.I almost thought they forgot that they imprisoned someone here. "Who are you?" I asked, turning around. Ah, fuck this blindfold. I would've ripped it off by now if my hands weren't tied to my back "Still stubborn, no?" His dark chuckle echoed around the room."How about you be a man and untie me so I can show you what I'm made of?" I challenged, shaking my hands in an attempt to loosen the rope wrapped around it. "Help her out, Russo" The man ordered.Suddenly, the blindfold was being yanked off my eyes. I squinted my eyes, trying to adjust to the light. It sucked to be denied your vision. "Behave yourself." Russo sneered before stepping aside. I remembered his face. He was the one who caught me and threw me over his shoulder, thereby bringing my almost complete mission to an end. Mother fuc

"Julian Raniero" I called out softly, finally remembering the face. My eyes shifted between his face and the way he held the gun with a determined glare. Was he really going to shoot me? "Are you going to shoot her or what?" Russo hissed from behind Julian. Julian tilted his head, the gun pointing at my forehead. "You know what, I've changed my mind" Julian frowned, tucking his gun in his back pocket after taking it back to safety. You wouldn't have taken it back to safety. It would've roasted your ass. "What's fucking funny?" Russo spat at me.Did I laugh?Grisella, can't you learn to smile at your thoughts inwardly? I scolded myself. "Do you have a personal problem with me, Russo?" I spat back at him, matching his glare. He just knows how to rile me up."Enough, you two!" Julian yelled. "Especially you, Grisella!" I wanted to say something to him but then my eyes fell to Cyrus lifeless body and my mouth clamped shut immediately. I wouldn't want to be in that position right now

"I won't do it" I shook my head, standing my ground as I refused to enter the room. "Don't make me force you in there, Ris" Rosa, the prostitute manager as I've named her in my head, said, glowering at me.Who the fuck does she think she is?"My name is Grisella not fucking Ris!" I corrected as I shot her an irritated look. She was beginning to get under my skin. "Welcome to our world where we don't give a flying fuck" She held my hand roughly and began to drag me down through a passage. "He paid exclusive and so you must behave." "I don't want to do this. Let me talk to your boss!" I pulled her hands away from mine but they were all futile as her grip was too strong"We don't take trivia issues to our boss. I do not want to be called incompetent. I mean, you're just a little brat" She sneered, stopping at a door. "You'll go inside there and...""I will not go inside there" My interruption cost me a heavy slap across my cheek. "You failed the last job" Julian turned on the light. I squinted my eyes trying to adjust it to the brightness. Apparently, he thought locking me up with my hands tied to a chair would be the best punishment for me. So, there I was - tied up. "You should've just said you needed to fuck me. That would've been easier than disguising to be a different person. How low!" I sneered, glaring at him through my eyelashes. He scoffed, his shoe clicked on the ground as he approached me. "You don't even feel remorseful." "Give me a real fucking job." "I paid for your service." He growled, holding my neck. "Only for it to bounce back to your bloody account. So awesome" I said sarcastically, looking straight into his eyes. "Seems like you want to join your poor little boyfriend." He nodded, releasing my neck. "Russo..." Julian stepped back for Russo to step in front of him. Russo smirked at me as he pointed the gun to my face. "What? You.. you want to kill me?" I stuttered, swallowing my fe

Julian's POV"How long are you going to leave her there?" Russo asked, sitting opposite me. I could feel his eyes on me as I worked.I was mad at her. I was mad at her for denying what I thought we had. "I don't know and I don't care" I shrugged, picking up another file"But you said you were going to make her work for it. Staying in Jail isn't working for it, man" Russo said, his voice loud. What's his problem."Don't you dare talk to me in such manner!" I yelled, hitting my fist on the table."Sorry, Boss" He said calmly."I know what I'm doing." I sighed, resting my back on the chair. I rubbed my face harshly. I've tried not to dwell on her present situation so much. I didn't want to do this to her but her stubbornness called for it."She's a tough one." I said again. I didn't know she didn't have anything in her stomach, Ma Rita" The familiar male voice spoke outI groaned, opening my eyes slowly. I blinked a couple of times before turning to take in my environment. The sight I met, made me laugh internally. The elderly lady held Julian's ear, while he held her hand lightly. They both were looking at me delicately when I finally made a sound."So I still ended up here?" I scoffed, rolling my eyes. "You think you could run away? You're stuck with me forever" Julian smirked. "How are you feeling dear? You fainted because you had nothing in your stomach. Also, don't swallow your pills when you've had nothing to eat" She brushed my hair away from my face."What pill?" Julian asked, raising his eyebrow at us."Don't you know that she...""I'm on Contraceptive Pill!" I interrupted, smiling at the both of them. Rita raised her eyebrow at me confu

Julian's POV."What happened?" I sat up right, my hand flew instinctively to my waist band where my gun rested.Waiting for Russo to catch his breath, I slowly brought my arms down. What would make Russo pant is expected to make me damn mad and so I waited for it."The warehouse was raided" He said, staring into my eyes. I clenched and unclenched my jaw, grinding my teeth. "How many are down?"Shutting my laptop, I pushed back my chair aggressively. The fact that I didn't know who was behind this irked me so much. I felt so incompetent and I think that's what my crew would be saying too."7" "Let's go" Leading the way, I bolted out of the room. Dragging out my phone from my pocket, I began to type furiously on the phone.I needed a new approach to this mysterious force that has been on my case. "Yo! Look where you're going man?" Grisella said, making me halt. She was the only one who would talk to me like that. Slowly, I dragged my eyes from her legs and damn, I don't know if she'

"Good thing you're here!" I stopped on track, taking in my environment. My eyes moved from Julian to his parents and then a random man. He didn't look ordinary."Come over, Woman" Vincenzo, Julian's father, called to me as he gestured with his finger.Turning back, I looked at the guards who were behind me. "Is he talking to me?" I asked them. They all stared blankly at me.Oh. "Grisella, stop being dramatic and make your way here" Julian rolled his eyes at me. Groaning lowly, I dragged my feet on the ground lazily. Vincenzo, on the other hand was glaring daggers at me."I don't even know why we want to go ahead with this" Delilah hissed from where she sat, frowning her face."Come closer, Grisella" Julian commanded."I think I'm fine here" I stated, staring at him. When I noticed that he was being very serious, I rolled my eyes. "Okay, fine""She lacks respect" The man who sat close to Vincenzo, finally spoke.I raised my eyebrow at him, ready to attack him but Julian pulled me on

"You have less than 2 weeks to see him. He'd be out of town for a while after 2 weeks" Josie said, bringing her voice down. Her eyes roamed around the environment for safety."I'll see him" I simply said, nodding "He also needs concrete information" Josie added. "When do I hit the next on the list?""I'll let you know when i think is the right time to do so." I sighed. Lord Raniero wouldn't know what hit him by the time I'm done with him and his family."Don't forget -""Jesus, Josie. I said I'll see him okay?" I snapped, a bit irritated at the way she was constantly pressing me about the issue."And who are you going to see?" His voice now sounded too familiar that I didn't need to turn to know who it belonged to.Besides, he was the only one who could confidently poke nose into my matter, without any iota of fear in the world."Didn't your mother teach you how to not poke your nose in people's business. Or better still, how eavesdropping is bad?" I folded my hand when I came face t

Grisella's POV"I need everyone on duty to be gathered here!" Julian yelled, looking around the room. Slowly they began to troop in, in their numbers.I wanted to tell him how unnecessary it was to do this but then my mouth wouldn't open to say anything. I groaned, clenching my fist as I adjusted my leg carefully. The pain I was feeling was just too much. I bit my lips to stop me from grunting."Are you okay, Vixen?" Julian turned towards me, his attention no longer on the guards. "Do you need help with anything?" He crouched down to my level.I just stared blankly at him, silently blaming him for the cause of my predicament. A revenge plan should go smoothly but mine has been 'give and take'. I'd do something to him only to receive it back.It was becoming very annoying."Don't." I whispered quietly as I eyed his hand which were few inches away from my leg. He sighed heavily, dragging back his hands slowly as he looked at me one last time. "Who was in charge of Grisella's room?" H

Julian's POVIt was two days. Two days since I last saw Grisella's face. I didn't know how she was doing and I've not bothered to ask too.She needed to learn her lesson. She was just too stubborn for my liking. Sometimes I don't know if she forgets she's a lady. "Still not picking her calls?" Russo said, nodding at my phone which I had turned upside down, not wanting to see my cousins name display on my screenIt was partially her fault and I wanted her guilt to slowly eat her up. She was an emotional person even though she acted tough."They'd both learn" I simply said, tossing the financial report aside. "These reports don't tally with our spending. Is someone stealing from us?" Russo scratched the back of his neck, picking up the paper. "If you didn't say it now, I wouldn't have known." "It keeps reducing every month with no trace of it. Or is it disguised under something else?" I beckoned on him to bring the paper to me again. I snatched it harshly, straightening the paper, pa

I'm sure you'd be wondering if something really did go wrong, right?Yawning, I stretched myself on the soft mattress. "Mhmmm"I hadn't even sat up but I could feel the splitting headache that arose from my too much alcohol intake."Welcome back" A male voice said. He sounded so familiar."Thank you" I answered, chuckling to myself at my response. "Can you pass me some Advil?" I had refused to open my eyes because adjusting to the light will equally add to my headache.I stretched my hands open, waiting for the drugs but felt nothing. "Urghh!" I groaned, opening my eyes. As expected, I winced, squinting my eyes as I adjusted to the brightness. "Where am I?" I sat up immediately, taking in this new environment. The room looked nothing like the rooms I've slept in, these past few days - Julian's room and the one assigned to me at the other mansion."Just where disobedient and notorious girls should be" The familiar voice said again. I narrowed my eyes, following the voice. My mouth fe
