Chapter 101 : Unknown enemy

The air in the room crackled with tension, thick and suffocating. Maxwell knew there was no turning back now. The men before him were strangers, their faces unfamiliar, but their intent was clear. The confrontation was inevitable.

Maxwell's beta wolves flanked him, their eyes burning with anticipation, muscles coiled like springs ready to snap. Every instinct in Maxwell’s body screamed that these men were here for a fight, and his wolves were more than eager to oblige. Yet he forced himself to ask, “What do you want?

“Why are you here?”

The question felt almost pointless, a formality before the storm broke. Maxwell could feel the raw aggression in the air, a powder keg waiting for a spark. The leader of the intruders, a silent, imposing figure, moved closer, his eyes locked on Maxwell’s. He didn’t bother to answer, his silence more menacing than words ever could be.
