Chapter 96: A Christmas to Remember

Christmas lights twinkled across the Hansley home with that warm glow, giving reflections off the snow-covered trees outside. Inside, freshly baked cookies filled the air, and the soft crackle of the fireplace gave the atmosphere a cozy, inviting feel. The tree inside the living room towered over with proud sparkling ornaments, strands of silver tinsel hanging from it, and a shining golden star at the top. And under it were gifts in all shapes and sizes tidily lined up, some already shaking in the excited hands of little ones taking sneaky peeks.

Elara and Ethan, now four years old, were the most excited of all. Dressed in matching red pajamas with little reindeer designs, they darted around the house, their giggles filling the air as they played tag.
