“Grandpa!”

Stefani dashed towards Senior, embracing him tightly. Meanwhile, his gaze remained fixed on the man standing beside me. Then, in a sudden instant, his eyes welled up with tears, glistening with emotion.

“Steven. Oh, my grandson... I thought I was going to lose you, too.”

Steven approached him and knelt down in front of him. “Grandpa, I am sorry for the trouble I’ve caused. I should have been more careful in my calculations and anticipated that it would lead to such a disastrous outcome.”

“No, that’s not important right now. What matters is that you’re awake again,” he said, turning his head towards me with a smile. “You’re fortunate to have a wife who stayed by your side.”
